  • Oh wow so many hipsters.

  • so fucking indie, i love it.

  • fucking hipsters

  • HEY! PEOPLE WHO CAME HERE FOR SCOTT PILGRIM! Check out this band, they're awesome. Unlike other indie music lovers, I don't get mad when people see what I see in music. Check out the Mountain Goats next. "This Year" is a good track.

  • i made a rap to this song, hope you like it if you see it. scott pilgrim high five*

  • @KateMWilkinson When he runs through the crowd and locks paths with Knives.

  • It´s so depresive,but it´s very beutiful too

  • SCOTT PILGRIM!!!!!!!!!

  • awsome!!

  • been looking for this

  • I'm in lesbians with this song.

  • This song is what I'd imagine a dream to sound like. Genuinely beautiful.

  • It's a lullaby.

  • this song changed my life....

  • That.......was beautiful.

  • Oh my god. I've been listening to this song for years, and I only found out now that Emily Haines sings in it! XD I love how in Canada all the indie bands and rocks bands collaborate with each other, it's really cool! XD

  • I' ve heard about Broken Social Scene, but i've never heard any song.

2 or 3 weeks ago i watched "Scott Pilgrim" (The movie, which i highly recomend) and then i downloaded the soundtrack of the film.

I loaded the soundtrack into my mp3 and when this song was played i was on the street, walking to come back to my job and i nearly cried for the emotion.

It has never happened to me before.

When i got home i inmediatly searched whose that song.

From this day on, i'm glad to have discovered this band

  • @guekman Cool story man.

  • @guekman Good for you. I strongly recommend going to see BSS live, if you live near Ontario or the area, as they play this song live a lot. I'm glad you like them, they are truly a Canadian treasure.

  • I just turned 23 last week.

But no matter how, no matter what...I still feel like I'm 18.

And no one will ever prove me wrong, cause it's all about what you are inside.

  • I put this on when it's late at a house party when I want people to chill the fuck out, smoke some herbs, and pass the fuck out.

  • This song was also in the documentary Small Town Gay Bar.

  • First heard this song in the Scott Pilgrim movie.

  • I'm just curious but who's the one that provided vocals for this one? It's so confusing because Emily Haines, Leslie Feist, and Amy Millian also sings this when they're performing with BSS.

  • @ohsnapitzalex Emily Haines is the main vocalist on this track.

  • a click from my mouse brought me here ;)

  • 17 was probably the most fun age for me, so far. I don't know why. Is that the same for everyone else? Is it, like, a magic age or something? haha

  • @lrmbj

ya, but I didn't know it then (:

  • I'm a seventeen year old girl. What am I supposed to do?

  • There was a time where my friends and I were all into this music and we all thought it was the greatest thing in the world. Now years have past and we've all moved on, man... life goes by too fast.

  • I love this song so much!

  • julia, is that you?

  • Oh my god this I just love this song @_@

  • i remember i found these guys my junior year of hs scrolling through my brothers iTunes, and im honestly glad i found them, every track out of you forgot it in people is just amazing... this and "pitter patter goes my heart" are unbeatable

  • i got chills

  • Thumbs up if you're a 17 year-old girl? ;)

  • Thumbs up if You Forgot it in People back in 2002 brought you here.

  • 9/10. Good Victory for Hawaii

  • Oh knives, You're so scary.

  • This was on Scott Pilgrim?

  • @KateMWilkinson after Sex Bob-Omb fought the Katayanagi Twins, Scott saw Ramona in the crowd with Gideon. He went after her but was cut off by Knives. A part of this song started playing just then.

  • Comment removed

  • @KateMWilkinson Yep, at the end of Scott's fight against the twins, Knife is in the audience looking very defeated, this song plays and snow falls, it's a beautiful moment.

  • @getoveritxx Knives..

  • @KateMWilkinson "milk and eggs, bitch"

  • @KateMWilkinson yes... after the katinagi twins fight when we see knives briefly

  • @KateMWilkinson yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A really good film, you need to see it! With awesome soundtrack. That film gave me a huge variety of good songs! Specialy this one!

  • lol Dude I found this song by total mistake I got them confused with another band I listen to.But eh I like what I hear :)

  • I finally know who this song is by

  • This song is so repetitive, but sexy... e_e

  • Scott Pilgrim was an amazing adaptation of O'Malley's graphic novel, so you all can suck it. Edgar Wright is awesome.

  • I am 14 my friend is forcing me to listen to this and now I am in love. I can't believe this was on scott pilgram!

  • This song perfectly conveys EXACTLY the feelings i had at 17! 18 i had too much sense, 16 i was too innocent for all of this. but 17! those were the days of mad, crazy, passionate, sneaking over to each others house, 3 hour long calls at night, smiling all night cause u knew someone was thinking of you, pure, young, obsessive love! nowadays im 21, and the world is just to understandable and mature to experience this kind of heart racing love ever again.

  • <3

  • Quite possibly the most beautiful thing ever recorded. "bleaching your teeth, smiling flash, talking trash under my window..." I've got entirely too many memories tied into this song and every time I hear it I experience them all over again. The emotions conveyed in just over 4 minutes last an eternity.

  • Whose toddler is that on harmony vocals?

  • This was on Scott Pilgrim?!

  • @EhcnalbZ Yup, it starts playing after the Amp vs. Amp battle when Scott runs to talk to Ramona, but runs into Knives in the crowd.

  • I can't believe this song is on Scott Pilgrim. I'm 27 years old and I used to listen to this when I was 18. Wow, brings back memories.

  • I shall now force my 17 year old sister to listen to this ALL THE TIME

  • Snow Cake brought me here...

  • @ScabbyJill same here

  • PARK THAT CAR, DROP THAT PHONE, SLEEP ON THE FLOOR, DREAM ABOUT ME, PARK THAT CAR, DROP THAT PHONE, SLEEP ON THE FLOOR, DREAM ABOUT ME, PARK THAT CAR, DROP THAT PHONE, SLEEP ON THE FLOOR, DREAM ABOUT ME, PARK THAT CAR, DROP THAT PHONE, SLEEP ON THE FLOOR, DREAM ABOUT ME,PARK THAT CAR, DROP THAT PHONE, SLEEP ON THE FLOOR, DREAM ABOUT ME, PARK THAT CAR, DROP THAT PHONE, SLEEP ON THE FLOOR, DREAM ABOUT ME, PARK THAT CAR, DROP THAT PHONE, SLEEP ON THE FLOOR, DREAM ABOUT ME

  • i hope this song is not meant to be listened only by 17 year old girls, 'cause i'm a 17 year old boy

  • Hermoso *__*

  • Not here because of Scott Pilgrim but incredibly happy that many people are.

  • Iloveeee Emily Haines. <3

  • Emily MF Haines.

  • I love age themed anthems oh mein god

  • I wish I could stay 17 forever...there's so many good songs for it. This, "Edge of Seventeen," "Dancing Queen," "Sheer Heart Attack."

I don't want to be 18 yet, because then I'm gonna hear these songs and remember every single time that I'm not a kid anymore. That's gonna suck.

  • best BSS song, really glad they were playing it during this year tour.. just missed emily or feist's voice

  • it's kinda.. unusual, but also very poetic, and in some way very touching. i don't know whether to like it or not, since the muted voice takes a lot of touching feeling away, like the song is covered in blankets. altough that's probably the aspect that gives the certain moody feeling to the song. (sorry, i'm an analyser!)

-- ended up actually liking it, because it got stuck in my head x3

  • I'm a seventeen year old girl. This is my life.

  • nostalgic but painfully heart breaking at the same time. beautiful.

  • that fucking stupid Scott Pilgrin did not bring me here

  • Seventeen's such a sexy age...

  • this is me.

  • Me and my older sister were best friends when she was seventeen (She's five years older) and we did everything together. I couldn't imagine life without her.

Well, she grew up, fell in love, now, she's twenty. She doesn't notice I'm even alive.

When ever I listen to this song, I get tears in my eyes because, it reminds me of the better times.

Now, she's all gone, she's got her makeup on and, I know, she's not coming back.

    I miss you Kourtney.

  • @lover3140 dude quit crushing on your sister you creeper

  • @lover3140 maybe you should call your sister :)

  • Damn, I wish I was 17 years old again. Now im almost 25 and listening to this feels like I am talking to my 17 self.

  • scott pilgrim was better as a comic, the movie just left out sooooooooooo much.

  • @ST00PlD yeah but it gives the mass media the general concept of scott pilgrim. it exposes it to millions more people like me who never knew of such a great creation...

and it attracted me to learn this creation more..

and i find myself as a go deeper in this world..

  • This song brings me to tears. It's sweet and sad and bittersweet memories surround it.

  • Melancholy at its best.

  • im proud to admit this song makes me cry so beautiful and haunting in a way

  • My love for Emily Haines, my love for quality music, and my ability to find quality music on my own brought me here.

  • this song sounds like 10 seconds in the movie. But now i have heard it like a thousand of hours.

  • @LyricalTroll I think these are close to the correct words:

Used to be one of the rotten ones, and we liked you for that

Now you're all gone, got your make-up on, and you're not coming back

Bleaching your teeth, smiling flash, talking trash under your breath

Park that car, drop that phone, sleep on the floor, dream about me

  • @StrangeNotDeranged he liked you for that*
