@Knukleheada Dude, depending on the tuning of your guitar your shapes will change, but tbh learning all the notes in a scale in 1 octave together with knowing where your base tones are will allow you to play any scale for any key knowing only 1 shape.

That means knowing the tuning and the fret number will allow you to know the Key the Scale and the Shape much faster than learning them note by note.

Everyone knows the frets, notes are irrelevant unless you are writing you dolt.
