you guys just could have done the easy way and turn off your ps3 from the back hold the eject button turn it back on from the back and when you hear a sucking noise coming from the ps3 release the eject button and tudda the game comes out like a pack a punched gun thumbs this up so everyone can see

My ps3 won't suck in discs anymore like its supposed to.................

I'm pretty sure its because of the ribbon cable connecting the blu ray drive to my PS3 that is busted. The clip that holds the thing down is busted and some of the metal clippings on the cable connector is busted too. If I want to fix this how do I do it? Is the entire cable busted? Do I have to replace the laser mech since the connector is part of that? PLEASE HELP!

damm, my drive is way different, it´s the 60gb. I could follow your tut all the way until i had to slide those two tracks, it didn´t slide it just flipped but only one track did. The other one won´t move.

i found a way how to fix a broken ribbon cable clip, if you still have the clip part simply place the ribbon cable in the slot and then wedge the clip back in place and tape it down. if that doesnt work then the method where you put something to apply pressure also works.

my game got stuck in my disc drive....i did not take it apart to get the disc all i did was took a old disc and shoved it in and pressed the eject switch at the same time i was putting the disc in,as i put the disc in and pressed the eject switch the disc came out...it might work for you..

Hi there.. thanks for this.. you are the same guy who taught us how to fix the YLOD in another video. Question: I did the procedure of the YOLD and worked fantastically, but lasted for 2 months.. then one day.. again.. YOLD... opened it up again.. fixed again.. and all good.. this time.. lasted for 1 week. Now, YOLD again, went for my 3rd.. but this time no fix.. whole procedure and turned on YOLD. I tried again just in case.. and still YOLD.. is this the end of my PS3 60g?

So I just got the YYLOD and took my Blu Ray drive apart following this video because i had a rented game in there I needed to get out asap. I just got my console reflowed today but have been having problems with my disc drive ever since.

I followed this video precisely but my PS3 accepts discs but will not eject them, it seems to think there is no disc in the drive. The drive also makes a sound similar to a vacuum cleaner when I eject or start the console.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

Just got YLOD yesterday and gave the 'force eject" way a go. First flip the power switch in the back off and now hold the eject button down and flip the switch on. It should work if not retry the force eject. My ps3 spat out the disk on the 4th attempt.

@TylursVideo yeh, i have the same problem. When you turned back on the back switch, did you then press the red switch, or did you press the eject button while the light was red??

@probulator1 Hold down the eject button while the switch is off then once you flip the switch, keeping holding down the eject button and youll hear a loud fan noise and give the system a couple seconds and it might spit out the disc.

I know i've commented on your other video but i need your advice.

I have a 40 gig ps3 and i have a WORKING ps3, which i fixed by the help of your videos.

Anyways, my disc is stuck in my ps3 and i can't get it out by pressing the button or by doing the fan test, so do you suggest me to do this, or is there some other way to get the disc out from a working ps3?

Very helpfull video for a lot of people, and I'll bet a lot of us has had a disc stuck, at some point.. And your right, you can't force the disc out with the older PS3 models.. Actually, my own PS3 is long gone due to it's 4'th YLOD, and my disc is in fact stuck, but If I see the inside of a PS3, it'll been to soon.. Mine is beyond repair as I see it..
