I know that was a horrible, gruesome post but it's the truth. I mean can't they at least kill the animal before skinning it. That's why I will never wear fur. I the amount of pain those animals go through just for fashion, is something us humans will never know of.
I can see why people like wearing fur but to you, you see a stlyish, soft fasion accessory and probably don't relate to how it was made. I have seen such shocking footage that has happened in China. They skin the animal alive. That may sound very cruel, but only when you actually see the footage is when it sinks in. I still have the image of that skinned animal (I couldn't tell what it was anymore) still alive and they just left it to slowly die like that. you could see the pain in its eyes.
I'm not part of peta (and don't particually want to be). But I think watching the skinning of an animal still alive would bother most people. Especially if you see it, which I have trust me it would give quite a few people nightmares, and my stomach doesn't turn easily so thats saying something.
But I am very passionate about animals so I want to try to help get people respecting animals more (don't have to like them just treat them better) I don't have a problem with regulated fur farms (but I personally wont buy fur) even though they really are still not up to scratch but the live skinning of animals is why I am against fur because the fur is catogorised by how it looks so your coat may have over 50 animals all from different countries and no idea if the farms were legislated.
If the live skinning stops then I would leave the fur industry alone, until then the only way is to get more people aware, so that there can be more restrictions for the animals welfare. Like say killing the animal before skinning it would be a good one.
