Electric is always better than fuel engines. This is why the worlds largest machines are always electric. Submarines? Electric. Mining/Earth Moving..you guessed it electric there too. The problem was always getting enough power that the motors craved. With technology electric demand has dropped while power has increased. All the while batteries now have energy density better than fossil fuels...Or in the case of the submarine, on board nuclear reactors provide all the current you could ever need

@pilgrim1138 top fuel dragsters are actually limited for nostalgic reasons. Thats why they run roots supercharger and arent allowed turbos, which would make MUCH more power. Airplanes dont run electric because of the hazards of flying nuclear fuel cells.

And I don't believe that there is as of yet a turbo engine producing over 7000 horsepower from 500 cubic inches but we have blown ones doing that in Top Fuel.

@daywalker688 plus if you take physics into account they are light and Ive seen a few r/c drags with 4wd anyway back to weight.. because theyre keeping weight to a minimal amount the need for extreme downforce on both the front and body of the cars is minimised to further increase performance.. like the way f1's run. Although the downforce could hold them to the roof of a tunnel.

You need to do some research then. The fastest cars are now electric. Brushless motors and lipo batts have done that. The WORLD speed record is held by an electric car. Nitro cant get close...sad but true.

the eiectric cars are heaps quicker than the nitro cars i run both so my opinion is not biass but extreme cars in electric run 1.4 sec @170 kmh the best gas cars here run 1.6 @140 kmh that is for 132 feet or just over 40m

the white funny car belongs to jeff i know it is brushed not brushless his doorslamer holds the australian record with 8 turn double on 10 cells it ran 1.63 seconds @ 133 kmh the record can be viewed at the QMDRA website so i think it would be the same maybe 10 turn on more cells the motor is a rae 6 magnet if i get more info i will post it
