Funny thing happened to me when I moved into my house for uni this year. I'd phoned up an energy company, and I had to wait for a few minutes. Their waiting tune was Canon in D.
While wonderful to listen to, if it had been your version, I could have happily sat there all day.... well, at least until I ran out of credit.
Is there anyway I could have the sheet music for this? Please? I have an all women's a cappella group at school and I think this would be just amazing to sing!
I too bemoaned by contralto voice until my high school choir director told the entire alto section this: sopranos had a fine quality and everyone wanted that voice. But altos were the ones who pulled the piece together with harmonies and our own vast range. Without us lower pitches choiral music and judy garland would be in trouble. Be proud of your vocal range, wether you are soprano alto or anything in between.
Man, everytime I listen to this, it kills me how high a note one of you can hit. I have a mans range even though I'm a woman, and wish I could hit those heart-rending soprano ranges. Contralto isn't sufficient! XD

I remember hearing the original version of pachel bel canon in D while doing a play in high school I was so moved by it it makes me cry each and everytime I hear it I heave heard at weddings and also at funerals to as well. all I say either way I want this song played at my funeral or wedding which ever comes first.

This was one of my favorite to play on Tuba. This and Bist Du Bei Mir(Bach, though not written by him origninally, easiest to look it up with his name though), both had their own hauntingly beautiful aspect that I loved, I also had a main theme in both, I love being able to sometimes come out to the front on a tuba as it's rare, and those that haven't heard a Tuba solo are missing out I think, also is that Tap Guitar at the end? It sounds very much like it if not

Firstly, this is simply amazing. I usually don't listen to classic music, but since I know how amazing your arrangements and voice are, I thought give it a try and I'm happy I did. Also because your comment @goldenfantasygirl helped me a lot. I was searching for a free program to record things on my E-Piano and as this sounds I only need a proper microphone to be able to work with my voice as well. Huge thanks to you, Kate! :)
don't feel like that! You can get set up with some nice recording equipment for under $30, and there's a free software you can use called "audacity". The confidence issue...I think we all have that O.o; Just gotta jump in and start! Confidence will come later ^_^

Firstly, this is simply amazing. I usually don't listen to classic music, but since I know how amazing your arrangements and voice are, I thought give it a try and I'm happy I did. Also because your comment @goldenfantasygirl helped me a lot. I was searching for a free program to record things on my E-Piano and as this sounds I only need a proper microphone to be able to work with my voice as well. Huge thanks to you, Kate! :)

don't feel like that! You can get set up with some nice recording equipment for under $30, and there's a free software you can use called "audacity". The confidence issue...I think we all have that O.o; Just gotta jump in and start! Confidence will come later ^_^

@goldenfantasygirl you and i are alike but i found that singing with my sister and trying to use audacity to hear how i sound and i keep trying i found out a song i can do so easily with such a soft childish voice i have nausicaa and the valley of the wind's NANANA song but even i am still too shy to sing out loud a lot even if to myself~

This is great! So beautiful. My heart was so moved. I'm getting married soon and just hearing this makes me want to cry. I've always dreamed of getting married and hearing this just amplified my vision even further. I've hired some musicians to play Cannon. I just hope I won't cry walking down the aisle. ;-;
