@skipdow3 i aggree that sully is a hero with real skills but still mat hall has some serious skills, its not just the recovery from the water impacts (which did have alot of luck, i admit) but also his lightning fast recovery from the stall. matt hall is ex RAAF and has flown in fa-18s and f-15e including in combat (in which real missiles have been fire at him), so he is one hell of a pilot. I bet if sully tried that 3 times theres a good chance the id wouldn't have ended so well at least once.

@bigsnowaowan Nope, the pilot said that he G stalled the plane. Which means that the manuver that he pulled off was over the limit where the aircraft was able handle at the moment. Ground effect is the effect when the aircraft experiences extra lift when it's about one wingspan above the ground.
