  • OMG How the fuck can i learn that??!!

  • That was FAAAAAAAAAAAABULOOOUUUSSS!!! JK LOL.

But that really was great! Beutiful performance... By the way, is Alexandra Sly your real name?

  • That was FAAAAAAAAAAAABULOOOUUUSSS!!! JK LOL.

But that really was great! Beutiful performance...

  • Simply Amazing thank you so much for playing.

  • that was very good my compliment ++

  • I am using this piece as an audition song for a music scholarship at my school, I got advice from one of the school's music professors yesterday, and he was the person to let me know that the song throughout, except possibly the interlude, should sound march-like. I believe I'm having trouble with keeping an even tempo in the passage at 0:38 and goes all the way until the sixteenth note passage. When I try to bring the tempo up to speed I believe I start to drag some of the notes a bit.

  • I like how you made the beginning rather march-like. The phrasing marking on my arrangement says "Tempo di marcia un poco vivace). Marcia means march like, and un poco vivace means a little spirited. You did great in accomplishing both those things.

  • lovely middle section. i only pick that bit out because the audio is a bit rough in the other sections, which were also very well played. i just bought the sheet music for this myself

  • good dynamics! but i think you need to curve your finger a little more.

  • Good dynamics! i am learning this song too! love how you played!

  • Ah I remember this song. :D I played it for my gr. 10 conservatory when I was in gr. 6. My hands were a little small so that octave sequence was a bit difficult, but the song was a lot of fun to play.

  • I can that song ;) My piano teacher pushed me to learn it! xD I'm going to Italy next year to play the song ;) And I'm from Norway (I'm 13 years) ;P

  • 4 people dont know good music when they hear it...

  • Yumm.

  • this is really good, resembles grieg's version even though his version on youtube is a bit sped up, same kind of feel!

  • How often do you practice piano? This is really good.

  • nice usage of the pedal for this song!

  • fantastic!

  • did you memorize that, is that the master's version?

  • ncie playing!

  • i'm 13 and starting this song now. I'm really excited. it's a beautiful song. Nice job playing it :) was it really difficult?

  • yeah :)! Nice, congatulations. I love grieg music and this is , really, grieg music :)!

  • among several mistakes (most of them little), the biggest one is this at 0:53: it's not a flat B, it is natural, making an EbAug, not major!! you should be a lot more careful with the reading aspect

  • needs to be

    much more FASTER

  • @poofypeach No it doesn't it's fine how she plays it.

  • @horror1057

But I like it Faster =]

  • Well played, indeed! I have a friend who played this piece at your age. I kept asking him to play over and over again, until he had enough of it! xD However, now he has forgotten quite a lot of it, but a pianists hands never forget, as they say! I'll have to make him dust it up again. He was much too shy to play it publically, but he did the middle part a lot slower, and I like that best, but that's just my opinion. I've only played for two years, so I haven't the courage to try this myself! ;D

  • I too. Was impressed by your techneque but if you slowed down, you wouldve been moreprecise and your emotions wouldkick in more. Always think before you play what speed you can play it best remember

    Speed kills music!

  • I think she's really really good, techinically! But I think it should be played a bit more slowly, not so fast because if you play it that fast you loose all the emotions of the piece and you can't really enjoy it ;)

  • kay just finished learning this. 12 years old:] im scared its for federation and its prob gonna sond horrible any tips?

  • Beautiful job!<3

  • If I could play that well, I'd want my friends to know it. Keep up the good work.

  • nice job! im learning it too right now im almost done!

  • you played it brilliantly!

  • Very nicely done. Hope you're still playing piano. You have great talent.

  • There are some errors but it's ok. You are on the best way to get a pianist

  • don't listen to that. it is practically impossible to play this song perfect

  • everything is possible e_e .. but do you know how boring/hard it is to hear everyday the same melody ?

better collecting experience and next time you'll do it better . she is not a pianist at all , but she gives her best .

  • what is your point about hearing the melody over and over again? just because you've "played the piano since the first class" it makes you an expert and gives you the right to tell her she's not a pianist at all. please upload a video of you playing this and then i'll respect everything you said.

  • really :D ? omg . dont overdo it.

she is NOT BAD even NOT PERFECT.

and the thing with Expert.. in opposite. i just start to play this ;) .

i heard a better version, thats what said about your ''pratically impossible''.

She worked hard for this and i know that this piece is very difficult. Why do you say that this here may hurt ears? -> '' dont listen to that ''

    Thats the point ^^

but i dont want you to apologize .

it just hurts to read such an ugly comment.

  • that's what practice is. playing it over and over until you get it right. so what if she's not perfect? the point is you told her that she wasn't a pianist at all, and that was wrong.

good. and when you're done learning it which probably will take a while since you'll be too busy trying to prove me wrong, post a video.

  • thats great that you heard a better version.. bet it was the original. and somebody is always going to make a mistake because music is all about interpretation; just because you think what she's playing is completely wrong.

i never said it would hurt YOUR ears, i was talking to her. because she shouldn't pay attention to people like you.

what gave you the impression that i was going to apologize?

you're right. it does hurt. the same hurt she feels when she reads your stupid comments.

  • dont strick up Oo ..

i dont think that she is playing completely wrong.. O-o'' .. she shouldnt pay attention to people like me ? i am like what? i dont say that she is shit or something negative. in opposite. she gives her best and that is what i like about her. its Not perfect, but she still posted.

    Dont listen to that.

-> you are talking to whom ?

i dont post a vid ^^ not for someone like you who always strick up in each sentence

(i think we have another definition of Pianist ;] )

  • and i would be very happy if you dont anser. because we are talking for nothing ^^

  • you know, i really don't care anymore. and it's not worth arguing over, or really worth my time. so good luck with whatever you're going to do, and fine whatever don't make me a video. it really won't affect me.

  • u um .. not really. same opinion here. Thanks :P

  • shame the audio quality is so bad - otherwise not a bad performance from a 16 year old!

    You have tremendous talent.

10/10 for effort, quality and musicianship.

1/10 for whomever was controlling the recording..

  • Great

  • うまいですね♪

    私も頑張って、この曲弾きます!!

  • i think you're really good! i just got this song and learned the first page and a half today but i still have like 8 1/2 more pages to learn. you're very talented. how long have you been playing the piano?

  • it's really good. i loved the way you played this. i am 14 and am learning this piece in my advanced music class. do u have any tips for me?

  • I played this piece in First year University, great piece! When going through those runs in the left hand, make sure you're not too tense, thats was my downfall. Take your time through the middle section, let it sing! Have fun with it!

  • WOW! After I finished Chopin Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2, I want to learn this piece! <3 You're great!

  • :) that's the same thing that i said! (i played Chopin Nocturne Op 9 no 2 also, and then i just finished learning this piece :P) she is quite good.

  • Very well done! You are an extraordinarily talented young woman.

  • i love you ^^

  • well played. kudos to you

  • I'm currently perfecting this song and I think that you have the perfect tempo. Everyone else plays it SO fast! But I really like how it's played :)

  • im 11 and im playing it

  • and..Can I just ask u hold old were u when u learned it?

  • i was about 15 when i learned that song, but i'm 16 in the video plyaing it. It took me a couple months to learn, and it got better with time.

  • great I was at the same age when i strated but it tooks me more time now I continui learning,I'm 16 but I find it pretty difficult I agree with u it gets better in time :]

  • @Childuftheking PLizz dont call it a song, its a piece, nice played:))

  • I like it :))))))))) Ur great

  • It's very amazing!!!

How many time did you take to practise?

    (sorry for my bad english^^)

  • It takes about 8 months to learn a song that well.

  • I'm a guitarist not a pianist but I think your's is the best version of this piece on youtube. Great!

  • You're very talented! :) Great job!

  • Bravo!!!

  • Excellent work!

  • the last part can be played more heavy but the rest is good

  • Well done! Thank you!

  • how old r u?

  • very good, i've played this song for my last concert. just try to make those dynamics really drastic, and dont let the pedal drain out the melody. good job though (:

  • very well played!!!! great talent

  • fantastic job! :D

  • Good job! Bravo!

  • sounds amazing.....my fav. classical song...haha

  • i love the rhythm of this song!!! i do wish that it was recorded bettr............but i still love it!

  • Wow, this is super slow....

  • wow, you truly are an amazing artist. i am 14 and i'm playing JD's Boogie Woogie right now. i can't wait until it sounds like yours. where do you take lessons? next year i'm going to the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, CT.

  • That will never happen, you worthless swine. All you will ever be good for is spoiled pork and overdone bacon.

  • oh yeah, like I bet your any better, what are you, some stuck up rich kid I bet. Gee and by the way thanks for the comment on my comment also, prick

  • no, i'm not better than her. and i did not mean to make it sound like that. If you've noticed, JD's Boogie Woogie isn't as hard as this.

  • Excuse me percussion, but you used the incorrect form of "you're." But do not fret, for that is the mistake of a second grader.

  • "That will never happen, you worthless swine. All you will ever be good for is spoiled pork and overdone bacon."

    Comedic Gold.

  • if only the recording device had better sound functionality, beautifully done

  • great job! this has got to be my most favorite song. I hope to be able to play it someday

  • YOUR MOST FAVORITE SONG?

  • naja das geht so^^aber nicht schlecht---hast du dich mal selbst angehört wie du spielst..vergleich es mal mit der echten Musik, dann wirst du sehen XD

  • damn near perfect! I wish this was recorded with better sound quality so I could hear the big and passionate bangs of the chords. At any rate, this was quite refreshing to hear cause it's so much better than most of the videos of this piece I've been searching through, and I'm not just saying that because you're a fair looking young lady :p

  • Hello i would just like to say i love hearing this. At the moment my dad's girl friend is learning to play this on the cvp303 as there getting married and she wants to play this song have it recorded and play it back in the church :-). i just want to say once more amazing well done. do you have any more of your self? Jamie

  • WOW! i think you're really good, great phrasing, good rhythm theres a recording of Grieg himself playing this. how long did it take you to get this down?

  • thank you! it took me a while to get it down cuz i did it for a wedding and never learned the ending. so i had to learn the rest of it for my concert.
