You are entitled to that opinion and I support your right to your opnion. But its my opinion, that he is an incredible player carrying on the Chapman tradition of double hand tapping.

All of these masters drew inspiration from outside the guitar. All inovators almost always draw inspiration from outside their context Thats how inovation occurs. This is agood thing and showcases how interrelated musical genres and instrumentation is. And the double hand tapping allows us to play things like Bachs invention for Harp 2, which is impossible to play otherwise. But uniformed shitwhits have no lknowledge on the history and how important of an inovation it actualy is for guitar.

At the same time of Steves adopting the Chapman method to guitar for a rock context, Stanley jordan was adopting it to Jazz and was also direclty inspirted by Chapman. The double hand method opens up interval use thats imposbile otherwise. Drawing inspiration from the Piano should be celebrated, not frowned upon.

People on youtube are so ignorant. They think because they make an observation that double hand tapping is borrowed from piano playing, that its a good insult. Grow up. Double hand tapping has been used on string instruments since Paganinis time. The modern inovator of double hand tapping, Mr.chapman clearly lists several piano players as part of his inspiration. Steve Lynch picked it up from a seminar Chapman gave at GIT and the rest is history

I thought a 6-5-1 in E minor would be C major, B MINOR and e minor? He says B major.

@Epicore69 Bmajor is used instead. It's the 5 chord from E harmonic minor. The fifth mode in E harm min (B phrygian dominant) has a Bmaj. The D# in the B chord is a half step below the E and resolves more smoothly like a typical 5-1 progression in a major key. The 5 chord in a major key is major, but minor keys have a 5 chord thats minor, so the 5 is borrowed from the relative harm minor to create that sound like classical music. Hope this helps.
