Em, well although he is in the good actors list of mine, he has two problems [to my personal opinion]. 1: he is not serious enough. He is too funny and he makes too much faces. 2: He already played the Riddler, so there is too much relation to that character. I personally think that Jim Carrey has all the attributes to be the perfect Joker but there was something about Ledger (rip) that made him my NR.1 Joker ever, in my opinion he was even better than Jack Nicholson who was an outstanding Joker just like Jim Carrey.
But hands down, Ledger was the best, "Dark Knight" was the first Batman movie where i wanted "Batman" TO DIE and Joker to live.

Can't believe I'm saying this but...I would love to see Jim Carrey again as The Riddler. It would be intersting to see him do The Riddler the right way, because his performance in Batman Forever was awful mainly because of how Joel Shumacher directed him. Ok, first of all, Jim Carrey is my favorite actor, second, he's already been one Batman villian and really, how different are Joker and Riddler besides one's obcessed with riddles and the other is just a phyco maniac. i think jim carrey would make an exellent

Jim Carrey has already been a "Joker"...so it doesn't really work for him to be it again.
I personally think that Jim Carrey has all the attributes to be the perfect Joker but there was something about Ledger (rip) that made him my NR.1 Joker ever, in my opinion he was even better than Jack Nicholson who was an outstanding Joker just like Jim Carrey.
But hands down, Ledger was the best, "Dark Knight" was the first Batman movie where i wanted "Batman" TO DIE and Joker to live.

I agree, if they wanted to use Jim as the Joker, they should have used him instead of Heath to begin with. Jim (as big a fan of his I am) would not fit Heath's shoes in this Batman series.

Especially since the new Batman is Nolan-based.
I love JIM as much as the next person, but that isn't the right part. Nolan is super serious, and I know Jim can be, but it's not his fortay..
Don't get me wrong, if it was someone else filming it,with a different feel, SURE!!
But Nolan's Joker is evil, cunning, and more serious. I don't see ANYONE doing it frankly. We shouldn't try to replace Heath so quickly or at all!!!!! Long Live The Legacy!

No i don't think that having jim carey as the joker would be such a great idea, cos when he played the riddler, with the way he played it, he may as well have been the joker anyway, besides i think it's already been confirmed there will be no joker in the next one, cos the director said that it's unlikely that they're gonna use Harley Quinn cos there would be no joker

Can't believe I'm saying this but...I would love to see Jim Carrey again as The Riddler. It would be intersting to see him do The Riddler the right way, because his performance in Batman Forever was awful mainly because of how Joel Shumacher directed him. If he's cast again and takes it seriously this time, he could be a really threatening villain.

It'll never, repeat, NEVER happen. For one he was already The Riddler. And two, I strongly doubt they are gonna even have The Joker in anymore of current Batman movies. Heath was too good and the general public would be pissed.

Heath Ledger acted really awesome, but he did not present the "real" Joker. He showed us his own imagination of the Joker, but having a really dark, fucked-up, lunatic Joker in the third movie would be nice aswell and Jim Carrey has enough acting-experience to do it right.

No way he is too much of a comic actor to achieve the realism that heath ledger brought to the role, he has no Method, Daniel Day Lewis would give you that and more as he knew HL and if u watch some of DDL's recent performances u can see he influenced HL in the role of the Joker
