If the sand paper does not work THEN you know that giving the controller a try wont hurt. Like any one I am tired of getting ripped off and instead put more effort into doing my due dilligence. I like the idea but would rather exhaust my options first and put more effort into mastering the controller and fooling around with the controller settiings first. Im just doubtful that increasing the height of the joystick will make a consideral difference.

I read reviews on Amazon and i always read the reviews that are one or two stars for anything because I know its not a sales person. Not good as far as I can see. Reviews on Youtube are mixed and it gets confusing when people are modding their controlers by swapping joysticks off a PS3 controller onto an XBOX or vice versa. Its all personal preference, You can take the chance and spend your money or just do what I will do and buy very fine grit sand paper and adhesive tape for better grip.

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but your box example doesn't make any sense. Assuming the same sensitivity, the Freeks won't provide any advantage in spinning around more quickly. They certainly help with precision (I use a pair daily) but don't allow you to do those things more quickly. In fact, the "throw" of the stick from the center position is shorter with the Freeks off and may allow you to spin a bit farther since you can start spinning sooner.

Otherwise good review, I enjoyed it.

@12ll2 yes they improved my game A LOT...in the beginning you play worse, but after a few hours of hard gaming you get used to them and you play MUCH better

I got them to fit on my PS2 controller (they don't normally fit on PS2, but they do on PS3).

What I did was cut the rubber off the joysticks with a razor and use Elmer's Glue to glue them on.

I would advise not using super glue if you ever want them to come back off.

They seem great though. Would recommend.

Hey, I play a lot of FPS games on my computer, which I'm just starting to learn how to use a 360 controller to play games on the comp, but I play a lot, and I mean A LOT of skate 3, and a little bit of need for speed. Should I go ahead and buy the speed freak, or the FPS freek? It SEEMS like the FPS freek is less versitile, but then again I might be wrong, and if it can help my KDR that would be awesome. @Gamertarded I would say buy the FPS Freeks, they work for FPS games and racing games also, but just not as well for racing games as the Speed Freeks do. Ideally I would say just buy both, they're not extremely expensive and they're worth it.

I just bought the FPS Freeks and I've played with them for 2 hours. I've been so pissed cuz I've been doing worse than ever. Yesterday I went 37-7 and now im playing I cant even get a 3 kill streak. They feel comfortable but will I ever get back to normal

@bump40 Yes, you will get back to normal and even better than normal, it just takes some time to adjust to the new feel. Your hands are trained for how to play with the current stock controller, so when you add new pieces into the mix your hands get confused and you have to retrain them.

That stick would not make you spin round any more times when you jump in the air. It would have to change the movement of the stick to do that, and that is not what they do.

dude it makes you more fluent at a hight sensitivity so if you are playing at a default you can change to a higher sensitivity and do even better and maintain or increase accuracy. thats how... if you play at ten... your outta luck for turning faster.
