I am Japanese, But I think Tokyo is not spectacle.

If you want to watch very modern cities, I recomend that you should watch Dubai, Singapore,NY,LA,Maimi,Shanghai­,Hongkong and Chinese new sities and Moscow Sidney, Merborn,Canada's some cities.

Tokyo has not high buildings and is not tidy in respect of outside.

Tokyo has only 634m tower but, not spectacle.

Funny how most people who think that they know Japan or study Japanese at university go on bashing that film. They say it's a disgusting view of Japan and doesn't do the country justice. The fail to notice that it is not about Japan at all. It is about people getting lost in strange places and finding each other.

@millsmoney im with you , have watched it about 6 times since it came out and I still regard it as my all time favorite film , I don't think any other will ever replace it . Will never love any characters as much as I love charlotte and bob .

@Kristianiabohemen One of those movies that some people get and some don't. If u really feel the movie, then it really speaks to u. To me it's kind of like the person u like but u can't logically explain why. If u do decide to give the movie another chance, I'd advise you to try to feel it rather than watch it; try to suspend your logical mind and appreciate the vibe/emotional aspects. I hope that then you'll be able to enjoy the movie as much as I. LIT is my all time favorite

I really is great, huh? I bought it on an impulse when it came out on DVD, and have loved the movie since I first watched it. I watched it last night, actually. One of my favorite moments: Charlie Brown singing God Save the Queen!

Lost in Translation is one of those incredible movies that comes out once every 10 years. I love this flick and I love Tokyo, what a magical city! Night view in Tokyo is a visual treat. This city absolutely assaults the senses. Nicely done video. 5 stars.

@TheJacqueline65 This movie is also among my all-time favorites. It is so subtle I think a lot of people miss it. I think you only really identify with this film if you have felt lost, and have managed to find that one person is the crowd that gets you. One of Murray's best performances; and, I like Scarlett the best out of all her films. She looks better natural and not all done up. Plus the soundtrack whisks you away. It's a magical film.
