OH HOLLY SHIT ! That's so scary ! what can you do if the car is stuck or sunk into the snow ? I think you're gonna be in big trouble , which means forget the car ... it's gone
Great Vid. We dont get near that amount of snow here in N. GA/ S.E. TN mountains but is still fun here in december-february. 6-8" of snow is great for us.
It is a blast for sure. We usually try to run in 3-5 ft but at the higher elevations in the spring you can find 15ft pretty easily. Thanks for the comments guys.
Very cool video luv the broncos they are the ultimate off road vehicle, I have a 76 ford stepside with a 390 3' lift it runs good but I really like broncos.
THAT IS A LOT OF SNOW! ...And more coming down the whole time! Looks like fun, but how does the guy/gal behind the camera keep from getting frostbite?
Both of the Broncos are running full width. Mine has full width high pinion Dana 44/Ford 9" front/rear with chromoly shafts and CTM u-joints. It has a 4" National Spring lift with a 3" body lift. Rancho RS9000X Pro remote reservoir shocks.
The Red Bronco has full width high pinion Dana60/Corporate 14 bolt front/rear with CTM shafts and u-joints. It has a 5.5" Cage Off Road lift with a 2" body lift.
You need 7" of lift and Wild Horses Gorilla WarFlares to get the tires to clear at full travel.
I run 6 psi since I don't have beadlocks. We drove to the trail so we didn't really feel like airing down. We still drove to the end of the trail and back in 3 hours with a lunch break.
The group that followed our tracks the next day took all day and never made it to the end. Thanks for the advice though.
The red Bronc has 39.5x16.5 Pitbull Rockers on 17" wheels. They work decent but he has since switched back to Super Swampers. He's now running the new 40x16 LTB's and they work better. Thanks for the comment.

Ford had it right when they built those first gen. Broncos. Had a 64 with lockers front and back 6 banger three on the tree. It would go anywhere!

Thanks for the comments guys! The red Bronco has a 418ci stroker motor that makes about 500 hp and a C6 automatic.
This trail is about 30 minutes west of Lyons Colorado.
I got a new HD camera so hopefully I can get my Bronco running again and get some more video.

rumswigger 2 years ago
It is a 383 stroker with a Vortec supercharger for a Camaro. The motor was an L98 out of a vette.

Chains for 40" tires are pretty expensive and pretty dangerous considering how fast we spin the tires.
We never aired down for this run, we were running the 20psi we drove up there on so that's the reason it took a bit of work.
Thanks for the comments guys.
Grizzly4x4rc 3 years ago
I wheel in the snow all the time. You got to get tire chains on the tires. You will go through twice as much.
