  • Reese did an amazing performance and rosie i love her i cried when she got beaten but reese looked older in the movie

  • LOVE -HONERED haha that we have the same birthday!!! woo to March 22 babies haha

  • She seems so nice and down to earth and in the film she is so beautiful but I'm serious all you hatred get a life the film was legendary it made me cry thrice and I'm not the one to cry when it comes to films but yes just happy that it had a happy turnout!!! ;D

  • @thespazzhand,

According to many people, she's very sweet and down to earth.

  • God he ask's some dumb ass questions.. shhzzz sucking up to Reese interview

  • Have you seen the new video of the abuse of the elephants in this movie....it is worse than what I ever thought and for anyone who defended this , shame on you.

  • All circus ´train´ annimals with fysical abuse!!!

The elephants that are used in this film are also trained with fysical abuse!

  • @whateverpall physical bro , physical , and that was before the movie came about , this elephant was trained a long time ago and suffered from abuse but on this set there was nothing but love for it

  • @whateverpall please spell PHYSICAL right

  • Definately not watching that film, absolutely digusting, horrible and very sad to know what actually happened to that poor elephant, and how it was made to act - very sad indeed.

  • I wonder if she took part torturing the elephants?

  • @AngryActivist45 you're obviously just jealous.

  • Horrible cast, with the exception of Waltz.

  • Check out our channel for a review on this movie!

  • I want to read the book in next time, I don't know how old marlene is when she died. it is mentioned in the book? I don't know in which age the elephant died, but after the elephant died, she died too, exactly? he told it so fast in the movie. I'm confused!

  • I love her!!! =]

  • @TheBayard77 do you know how old Marlena is? i never caught it in the book, but I must have missed it. It's been driving me crazy!

  • @MORGANwoohoo im pretty sure she's 21. because she joined when she was 17. and then in the hotel scene on the book when she starts explaining her life the book says "she mentions how hard the past four years have been" sooo im assuming its the 4 years she's been on the show and married to august, making her 21. i might be wrong though. i always thought her older and in the movie she seems older

  • @xxkmd

    i am sorry bu...t who is 21 years old>?

  • /watch?v=AJo9pUxnKFw check out reese witherspoons chin

  • TRUST IN JESUS AND BE SAVED! CALL UPON JESUS AND BELIEVE ON HIM!

  • Reese is way too old to play Marlena and she wasn't a blonde. I hope they don't ruin the book on the screen.

  • See what happens when you are out of good ideas? You work with a blood sucker bottom feeder and your movies suck. Poor Reese.

  • BOOK = AWESOME. MOVIE = OSCARS?!

  • I'm a Nicolas Sparks reader and fan so once I finished buying and reading all of his book for my (Kindle) I was like so OMG what am I going to do with myself now!!! So i started looking at NY Best Sellers on Amazon and there it was Water for Elephants at first I thought well its a weird title but I will give t a try!!!! WOW I'm so glad I did!!! I fell in love with the story... I just wish they would have got Patrick Swayzies brother to play the ring master!!!

  • Reese is so beautiful & lucky to be in a movie with Robert Pattinson...He is gorgeous in every way & we need more Roberts in this world :-D

  • i looove her :)

  • I'm reading the book right now, love it. :)

  • Canadian author representin' wha wha

  • watch?v=jaIaGMl40Rs

    second song from WFE trailer

  • Love this book so much, I really really hope they don't screw it up.

They do make at least one HUGE change: no Uncle Al. August is going to be the ringmaster in the movie. I *think* it's a smart move...? Not sure yet, we'll see how it goes.

  • @phantommangagirl Oh, hahaha i read too fast :)

  • @meowmeowjazmine It's in the first chapter, it's easy to miss :).

  • @leoaddict it actually is. I bought it like a month ago in athens:/ but you can also buy it online:)

  • this was the book that got me into reading first of all. they better include walter the midget and show the grittyness of it. looks like its them in suits and whatnot. thats not really even close to how the book was besides august which i percieved as looking more like caption hook hah.

  • @TheBeltones They have Kinko/Walter, but they don't have Uncle Al. August takes on the ringmaster role.

  • In vanity fair Reese was Roberts mother...so weird lol

  • @sandra123marar ROFL IKR? that is really weird!

  • haha 0:53

Wow I thought that was funn what Reese said because all i can picture her in is Legally Blonde.

    "a tomboy" haha

  • Phiew.. just released my first Robert-fanforum :) It took a while, but I can't wait to post about WFTE! Really :) It will be so great!

  • Reese Witherspoon would make an amazing Marlena and Cristoph Waltz would make an amazing August, I'm not sure how well Robert Pattinson is suited for the lead.

  • Well if it follows the book correctly, she does die in the end

  • @MrDripdrop Thanks for ruining the movie for me and many other people

  • @NadiaBKat167 Not a problem, anytime i can help

  • @NadiaBKat167 She doesn't die in the end as part of the main story. We know she is dead when he is old in a nursing home. It doesn't say how she dies.

  • @meowmeowjazmine spoiler much? im hald way through. awesome. lol jk XD

  • @Haleyperforms Oh haha it's not a spoiler. The book is weird. chapter one he's 93 and then chapter 2 he's 23. it goes back and forth. He mentions it in the first chapter. :)

  • @meowmeowjazmine In the book, she died of really fast-acting cancer about 10 years before Jacob went to the nursing home.

  • @MrDripdrop .....

  • Love the book! Can't wait to see this =)

  • She's such a BABE

  • wow.who hear has read this book???? it's a really great book and am going to be mad as hell if they screw this up.but that's usually how it goes in Hollywood.

  • @FightsRightsAlways

I have and it's a beautiful story. You can actually see everything that Jacob describes about his experience with the circus and how he falls in love with Marlena. Once I started reading it,I couldn't put it down. It's one of those books that just makes you sit down and read it until the end. Now I can't wait to see the filim,as I know it will be as good as the novel.

  • @thewall283 dude i hear what your saying but that's how it happens sometimes.hollywood comes along and goes hhhmmm what a great book let's make that into a movie.then you speand 6-8.00 on a movie that has taken things out, added things in or twists the plot around a little bit.i really like the book and i hate when movies are based off of a book and they mess every thing up.i don't want to be dissapointed so i'll just have a friend see it and tell me what they think.

  • @FightsRightsAlways

My only concern is that they will tone it down to a PG-13 rating, just so Robert's younger fans can see it. Sara Gruen was quite graphic in her use of language and adult situations in the novel and it would be a shame to see that sacrificed,so most of the mainstream audience can see it. I hope they've stayed true to the novel and kept it as the beautiful and adult story that it is.

  • @thewall283 i know that's something i've thought about as well.this book in some ways might even be R-rated but with robert in it it might be a little lame because he's only famous because of twlight .the character in this book does everything he can to get the women of his dreams.but that's how it goes in the book and some people might not be okay with that.so will they change things are around for them??i don't know but that will only prove that hollywood can't do things the right way.

  • @FightsRightsAlways i'm dieing to read it, but it's not out in greece :(

  • @leoaddict lol i'm sorry to hear that, cause truth is you might have to check out the movie before you read the book.and the book really is good i just hope that Hollywood will do right and keep it close as possible to the book.

  • @FightsRightsAlways I love the book!

  • @FightsRightsAlways I totally agree. But I saw the movie yesterday, and I have to say they really stayed true to the book. It's beautiful! I'm not a great fan of Reese Witherspoon, but she did a great job! And of course, *sigh* Robert was just Robert.

  • @TwilightObsessedPage sigh okay i'll just have to take your word for it.

  • @FightsRightsAlways You bet ya :) Of course, the book is allways better, but I really loved the movie. Aaaww; the scenes where August hits Rosie with his stick, almost made me cry. I felt so sorry for her. The look in her eyes broke my heart ;(

  • @TwilightObsessedPage okay well i'll give it a try.thanks for the feed back.

  • @FightsRightsAlways You're welcome :) Let me know what you think of it! ;p

  • @TwilightObsessedPage okay i will.

  • Well if it fallows the book correctly, she does die in the end

  • @MrDripdrop hahahaha

  • This book is a MUST read! I can't WAIT to see the movie!!!

  • She's so adorable. i've always loved herrr

  • They filmed some of this about 20-30 miles where I live.

  • @jennel802009 thats really cool!!!!!!!!!!

  • the trailer will be released next week...so excited

  • THEY NEED TO RELEASE THE TRAILER. LIKE NOW.

  • I'm reading this book in English 12 right now :) It's awesome so far!

  • This movie is going to suck.... I love Reese Witherspoon but they changed way too much crap, the actors are no where near the characters in almost every aspect and I cant stand Rob pattinson.....

  • what a terrible interviewer

  • reese is gonna be the perfect Marlena! and all you people saying shes too old . um did u even read the book! she is supposed to be older! thats the whole point. and they have to cut down the book and characters to make it fit the time limit! god

  • I loved this book :D

  • the movie is gonna suck compared to the book.

  • She is one of the most over rated actresses ive ever seen

  • what kind of stupid question is that "are you worried of being hurt"? is obvious they take care a lot about her and would not let her to get hurt, is it so difficult to ask smart questions and avoid the dumb ones?

  • I just loved this book ... so beautiful and brutal and wonderful evocative.

  • I'm sorry, Reese Witherspoon is not how I pictured Marlena to look at all... She seems a little old for the role, or is that just me?

Not to mention that they're apparently cutting out an entire character.

  • @SavageGenius135 I didn't see Reese playing Marlena either! I thought Marlena and Jacob were closer in age. I pictured a more 'classically beautiful' girl. And what character did they cut? I can't stand it when they can't keep the book the same as the movie...

  • @SavageGenius135 Thats the first thing I thought too, I thought she Marlena was the same age as Jacob, but shes 34. And they took out Uncle Al and made August the owner of the circus.

  • ugh fuckin LOVE THAT BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I can't wait to see this...does it come out in april 2011? And does anyone know if they hvae a date for the premiere? Thanks (:

  • She should be doing the bend and snap in this movie too ;)

  • does christoph waltz play August?

  • @jbjboceanfront yes! hes gonna b so bad ass

  • @DarthRoy1292 haha cool cant waitto see this movie

  • @jbjboceanfront yup!!

  • I'm excited for this movie!

  • i wana see htiss soo baddd!! and in the book rob and reese's characters have sex, does this there'll b a sex scene, cuz i neeed to see this movie but i just wonder if it'll b pg-13

  • they are shooting where i live :DDDD

    I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!

  • its so funny i adore rob

but in twilight he plays edward and he has an enemy who is jacob and in water for elephants his characters name that he is playing is jacob!!

    hahhahhhaahahaha

    love rob..

  • Robert Pattinson may look pretty, but he IS NOT a Jacob Jankowksi...All he had to do in Twilight was sparkle and not smile...what's it going to be like when he actually has to act? Bitter about this cast, that's for sure.

  • @redrider4show I take it you havnt seen him in "Remember Me"? Hes actually a really talented actor, and i know for fact he will do an outstanding job with the character Jacob Jankowksi. Apparently, word from the set of the film, is that Robert could be oscar nominated for this role. So i dont think you should judge.....

  • @dangerouseef

Meh. haven't seen "Remember Me". Didn't have the inclination. If he does well in this role I will be pleasantly surprised, I guess. I don't have to be a fan of him, and I can make any judgement I want. It's Hollywood. It's not like I'm attacking everyone who's a Robert Pattinson fan...

  • @redrider4show Im suprised you havent seen it, it got excellent reviews. Well, if you end up enjoying his performance in "Water For Elephants", i recommend "Remember Me".. big time :)

  • @dangerouseef

I will have to keep it in mind. I'd hate to miss a good movie for not giving it a chance.

  • Reese is not good to play Marlena. Nothing in common with the character. I wish Emma Watson or Nina Dobrev could play Marlena... way better.

  • im in this movie im not lieing you will see my face in the movie cant wait for the movie! it will be good

  • The "Marlena" character is wonderful at the book, i hope she can make it well

  • you do know that theyve been in a movie together previously?

he was in the outtakes of vanity fair (the movie) as her son....lol which i find rath amusing myself ^_^

  • I really like Reese, she is a great actress! I look forward to seeing the film! Robert is a very talented actor, so it will be so great seeing him starring with Reese!

  • @kipandabear95 haha u kno wat they say great minds think alike :p lolz

  • ugh i hate d circus... D: ANIMAL CRUELITY! but othr than dat i CNT WAIT 2 C ROBBERRRRT PATTTERRRSONNNN~!

  • @grace123p the book is really good though. it actually talk about some of the cruel and unnessary things they did to the elephant :] its quite a good story

  • @ManEatingSlug7 then ill chek it out :D

  • i can't wait to see this movie because of Rebecca Ostroff!!! the Women the hired to do a lot of the trapeze, she does a trick called the iron jaw that is only currently done by four people in the world!!! We were pirates in a show in NY... and she's awesome!!!

  • 1st...Rob and Reese have worked together before...2nd...i do agree with your guys point but let's not rush to conclusions...give him a chance...he's still trying to make his way in the business...and everyone just precieves him as edward...give him a chance.

  • Lovin' Reese, but Rob? Really? As Jacob? I was thinking about a bit more of an awkward boy...

I believe Marlena was older, because she was married to August, and he was a bunch older than jacob...im still very very sad they are making this into a movie. The imagery in the book was absolutely stunning and Sarah Gruel just...was incredible, Im very very sad they feel the need to transform this piece of literature into a movie, it was and is beautiful all on its own.

  • @KellieCullen1901 what! I know her sarah why?

  • "Are you going to do circus stuff??" bahaha it's a circus dumbass of course!

I'm sorry byt Robert just sucks. He sucks at doing his hair, sucks at acting, and his looks just suck. oh well all they want to do is wash out the story with a big name cast and try to draw some attention from those twilight fans. I'll just stick to reading the book

  • omg i read this book!! it was really good :D

  • This book was pretty awesome i just hope they do it justice nothing worse than taking a good bookand making into a fucking shitty movie

  • i. am. so. pissed. i live in santa barbara and they were shooting this movie in ventura which is minutes from my house and i didnt found out i was just minutes away from ROBERT PATTINSON until today. ughhhhh. i cud hav met himmm >X(

  • Reese Witherspoon as Marlena and Rob Pattinson as the red-headed Polish-American Jacob Jankowski? What awful casting. That producers probably never read the book and are just working off the script writer's summaries.

  • I hope they can make the movie as good as the book.. We'll see

  • Reese and Rob were awesome together in Vanity Fair, so I'm so excited for this! It's going to be great! :)

  • This movie is going to be an abomination. They couldn't have picked a more horrible cast, in my opinion.

  • aaa omfg!!!!!!!

  • I'm exited for the movie, but I think Reese is a little too old for the role. I mean I wish Marlena would have been a little younger, but who knows it might turn out really good

  • They shouldn't promote the cruelty of circus animals in a movie. Elephants are endangered, and the elephant they are using in this movie, called "Tai", is a real, abused elephant forced to live in deplorable conditions. Quite sad...

  • Comment removed

  • I love this trio: Rob, Christoph and Reece! wow

  • god i love this book! im so excited to see christoph! its gonna be another slam dunk oscar if they do the movie rite!

  • Reese is playing Rob Pattinson's character Jacob's love interest Marlena....she is the circus acrobat who works with the horses and Rosie the elephant.

  • This book was so good! I'm so excited to hear that they're making a movie with it

  • She's sooo friggin adorable

  • Isn't Reese too old for the role? The character she plays is in her early twenties I believe. No offence against Reese though.

  • @teddinax News said that she played Robert Pattinson's mom.

  • @teddinax yah, I kinda think Reese witherspoon was miscast, I like her, but from what Ive seen, I don't think shes perfect for the role.

  • @ecarmosino yeah totally, i think the same. I think somebody with a fresher face would have been good. I just can't see her as Marlena and rob and her being in a love scene together. But still cannot wait for the movie though

  • the book is amazing. I'm really excited, hopefully film will be good too.

  • oh i have a sick weakness for Christoph Waltz! i want to marry him ahaha

  • I can't wait to see this - because of CWaltz. Absolutely.

However, why is this guy kissing her ass so much?

  • Robert is going to butcher this movie. For Jacob i completely invisioned Tobey Maguire or Ewan McGregor. Those two would have been more suitable for Jacob's lost and naive sense of his dilemas. As for Reese I wasn't too excited. Nicole Kidman would have made a better choice. I must say that i was very disappointed and mad when i read that the twilight-guy was being casted for Jacob. But i am happy that the book is being made into a movie!

  • @dktuealdqw Come on. Deep down, you're happy about Christoph Waltz. XD

  • @dktuealdqw sorry what does Butcher mean?? lol sorry i feel stupid

  • @dktuealdqw He is actually a good actor but Twilight doesn't really give him justice and I think Reese is perfect for the role.

  • @dktuealdqw those are the most idiotic casting ideas yet. a dude whose 20 years older than the character. and a wimp, which goes completely against his description.

  • it's a great book, but the movie's probably going to suck

  • @TheJoeCoolShow

    I'm sure you are

  • I'm mad that Robert Pattinson is going to be in this.

BUT I'm going to give him a chance, JUST because it's Water for Elephants!

OMG SO HAPPY THIS IS GOING TO BE A MOVIE

  • ohh i can't wait to see this! Mainly because of Christoph Waltz!!! And what other 17 yr old says that?! ;) jk jk

  • I can't wait to see this film. I love the book and so far I'm loving the cast!

    Christoph <3

I re-read it recently and picked up on a few hans landa esque death glare moments :P

Reese will make a really lovely Marlena.

  • Christoph and Reese working together sounds interesting. I like Reese. From what I've seen, she's a talented actress and I'm looking forward to seeing her in this adaptation.

  • I cannot wait to see Reese and Rob work together....

  • @reenata36 You forget Waltz : )

  • Reece played Rob's mum in Vanity Fair! wow! theyve got catching up to do!

  • I cannot wait for this film! To see Rob, Reese and Christoph all on the same screen will be amazing. Reese may be older than the character is meant to be but so is Christoph, it'll work out. The book is brilliant and I can picture all 3 in their parts.

  • DEFINETLY!

  • COME ON. She's a brilliant actress, and she will be wonderful with Rob and Christoph in this movie. Christoph himself is a little old for the part - good, liberties like that can be taken - but no one complains. She looks GORGEOUS, face and everything is perfect. Casting is perfect.

  • Loved this book and the casting is perfect
