Actually it is a newspaper column by Mary Schmich, published by the Chicago Tribune on 01 June 1997... thenre-sed various times in different way, the most famous of which is the successful music single "Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)", released in 1998, by Baz Luhrmann (the one you listen in this movie :)).. for more info just goole "sunscreen advice" ^_^
Perfect ending. I like the way how kevin spacey's charater accepted his lost with kindness. There aren't rules for business and the monologue makes it perfect.
it's in the movie! if you haven't watched the movie already, which I suppose you haven't, you should! This is a greate movie, and I think all of if is available as parts here on youtube.

I don't consider this to be the final monologue because it isn't an actual part of the movie nor was it made for the movie. Dani Devito has the final monologue right before when he's explaining to Bob how he has no character. It is one of the best monologues in film I think
@Capslockets I think that was Spacey calling to say sorry to Bob and ended it with telling Devito that he loved him because Devito had asked the night before. I think Bob had earned his respect because he had stood up for himself and told Spacey that he was wrong. In the end, it looks like Bob finally took care of bussiness and got the account, judging from the menela envelope left for Spacey that morning.
wise words - so simple and evident but so hard to keep in mind

Sounds like Vonnegut but was it really?

Take this monologue and change the context it is in.
This is the philosophy all teenagers should live by instead of choosing being negative and angry at everyone.
Kindness and love is the way forward.
