Same specs just a white color was added and a cheaper 8GB model...I feel sorry for the people who will buy the ipod touch just for the iMessage...IT IS STILL A 4TH GEN just wait for the iOS 5 update on October 12 it's free you know...I think they will release iPod touch 5G when iOS 5.1 comes out...notice that every generations of iPod touch released it is always iOS x.1 installed

Their is no iPod Touch 5, it's the same iPod touch 4g as last year just running iOS 5. The iPod that you have now (Which is the one is this video) can be updated to iOS 5 once it is out.

Don't waste money on something that you already have, unless you want the white one.

The 4G and 5G Ipod Touch is no different only difference is IOS5 has been installed on it. All I need is 20 minutes or more and get it on my IPOD 4 which I got a few months ago. Why do I need the IPod 5? Now if the IPOD 5 had GPS built in then heck yea I would go with it or if it had the A5 processor and better camera then ok but this is just a stupid way to make money with a software that I can download free on my IPOD 4G

There is no new iPod touch, it's still a 4g. The only "difference" is, it will now ship with iOS5, as opposed to taking 5 minutes out of your day to download it.

So anyone who currently has a 4g, and is planning on buying the "new" iPod, is stupid. XD This iPod is a 4g! They simply just announced a software update.

For those of you that want the white version then you can get this. For those of you who want to stick to the black colour just keep your ipod touch 4 and upgrade it to ios5. All Apple gave us with this ipod is ios5 which we could get for it anyway. They did not even bother to increase the battery life and give it the a5 chip.
