It's become iconic to her, like it represents her own strength and ability to survive. She's almost in tears talking about how proud she is of it. She'd likely have a total meltdown if it broke.

why dont they have an alarm bell or something to use as an alarm bell in the watchtower. seems like a logical place to sound a proper alarm from. also thanks for the uploads.
