  • The narration is incorrect at 15:44 when he says that Hawthorn and Macklin were in "the origin of a collision which no camera filmed" - the amateur footage of Macklin's swerve to avoid Hawthorn, and the resulting collision between Levegh and Macklin was released a while back, and is available to view here on YouTube; enter "Le Mans 1955 raw" into a search - the clip is at the very start of the first item returned in the search...

  • @Conniptions886 Do you think maybe that this was made before the new angle came to light? Jesus, some people have to find fault with everything.

  • @lazaglider - Regardless of when it was made, the statement is now factually incorrect, and has been corrected.

  • @Conniptions886 You will find that reseach and details are forever being altered and updates as time goes by, in just about every aspect of life. When this documentary was made, the facts were correct as the video was not known about. You wording seems to pour scorn on the makers of the original documentary, yet they used all the evidence available at the time.

If the innaccuracy irritates you as much as you make out, perhaps have a go at making a more up to date documentary?
