Tonight is a GREAT night in American history. It is the first time an African American has become the presidential nominee of a major political party. As Americans (Democratic, Republican, Independent, etc) we should all be PROUD. For we have begun to overcome. In 10 or 20 years, as a people, we will continue to grow and look past color and gender. And a dream that was dreamt and voiced many years ago by a patriotic American, MLK Jr, will be realized. I HAVE A DREAM. I HAVE A DREAM.
AVTPro,I agree with you as it'd be great if this campaign season were free of racial sentiments. Thing is, for example, months ago, National Public Radio's Juan Williams noted Obama was speaking differently to black audiences than to white audiences. And, a lot of black people support Obama cause he's half-black and married to a black woman. And, a lot of liberal, college-educated people (like in 27510 where I live) support Obama cause he's black. Here's my thing: Obama has zero experience.
We remember when the weathermen declared war on the US and bombed the capital and pentagon. We remember when they called for a Communist overthrow here. We remember when the Soviet Union tried to create a race war and disunity in America and did a pretty good job. We remember when Obama Sr (Barack's dad) wrote and published a paper in support of communist Style Socialism in Kenya. We see him as one of the past who created race tensions to gain power and possible revolution.
It is much deeper than this though. The question we ask is what is fueling these comments (and we believe race baiting) that is coming out of this Church (pastors, speakers, and members). It is Marxist Liberation Theology. Obama said himself he sought out Marxist professors when he was young. He says he would attend Socialist conferences. He says he sought out radical students and then we find out Bill Ayers and other former members of the Weathermen helped launch his career.
You are completely going off on a tangent. What does Marxism have to do with Barack's politics and ideologies? I suggest you read his book where you'll get to read about the ESSENCE of the man, before making inaccurate comments such as the ones you've made.
I did. That is why I am so passionate about this. Even as a child he talks about giving people false perceptions of who he is. It explains also why he can support infanticide in Ill. congressional floor and US Congress and appose the Born Alive Infant protection Act 2002. It explains why he surrounds himself with Liberation Theology and unrependant Terrorist who tried to start a race war and over throw the US with a Communist government. Imagine what would happen to our rights .....
Imagine what would happen to our rights under a socialist or communist type government. The Civil Rights Act of 1965 would fly right out the window if we have a revolution.
I guess you missed CNN last night and the new book that is out written by a journalist about the coming revolution. Listen to Michael Moore also. Listen to Bill Ayers and his wife.
@ChulaKirby That's precisely my point, "written by a journalist", this is the type of conjecture that I'm tired of and people like you buy into. Until I hear this from Obama's mouth, I will never be convinced of this rubbish. Again, I suggest you READ "The audacity of hope" instead of propagating negative conjecture.
The reason I do not read "the audacity of hope" is because he is running for office right now and is more than likely a politcal speech just made into a book. His first book wasn't written when he was an elected politician. He is more honest in it esp when he talks about seeking out Marxist professors and radical students and attending Socialist conferences. It explains his attraction to Marxist Liberation Theology.
Not making an excuse. I don't vote for what someone says or writes about while running for office. I look at what their value system is before they choose to polish their image. Barack says in his book he sought out Marxist Professors and radical students while in college and attended Socialist conferences. He did this when we were at war with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and when the Domestic US Terrorist group the Weathermen were still committing terrorist acts in the US.
Wow! What a no-nonsense way to analyze a candidate running for any office. It's too bad most everyone else didn't follow these simple guidelines you practiced. We would probably all be a lot more optimistic about our countries future today, and now you know you are justified in your analogy, because you have this comment from a year ago to prove it!lol Great Job ChulaKirby!!!
I wish I was wrong. I hoped I was wrong. But the way it is moving, especially with health care, I am afraid I was right. he has tried to label and marginalize his critics as racist, right wing extremists, red necks, mobs, and as republican plants. Give him more authority and he would act as a dictator. Change we can believe in is turning into revolution we must pay for. I feel mostly sorry for the American blacks. They will wind up suffering the most.
First off, Planned Parenthood is mostly in minority neighborhoods and they do have a eugenics background and blacks are the number one target. Next, their eugenics program will be institutionalized. BUt second, and this is real important .....Let me explain it with a story. I am currently having a chat with an African American on another video page. He has no problem with a man being called a n--ger and beat to the ground and kicked in the head.............
Why? Because the man didn't support Obama's health care plan. What does this tell me and all the other of millions of non-blacks? By using the race card when it benefits them but not speaking up against racism when it doesn't benefit them, will hurt them. Who do you think helped them get equal rights? When our rights get diminished so do their theirs and they are the minority. What do you think will happen? There will be nothing to protect them from their current master.
For example, the people at town hall meetings that don't support national health care and get called all sorts of names. White people that is. But the first non-supporter to get attacked was a black man and he got called a n--ger on top of it. And nothing is said by the black community. Silence is heard. Some are afraid and will become more afraid. And when they disagree guess what? Their master will beat them. And whites on both sides will remain quiet. Why? Because they used.....
the race card only when it was in their benefit and were not truly for equal rights for all. I am not saying this will happen tommorrow. I am referring to the course of a decade or two.
You pretty much said everything I was thinking. It is becoming very apparent that the majority of AA's were supporting the president just on the basis of his color alone. I am really concerned that the racial divide will heighten due to this. I'm also concerned that this may be this administration's intent, so as to further weaken our nation as a whole. The more confusion they can create the easier it is to force their policies. People can feel this strange uncomfortable change. Not Good!!
As I said before, you need to read "The audacity of hope" and watch a lot less Fox News who have clearly imbued your mind with a lot of rubbish. I wouldn't give any of your comments an ounce of credence, because they're not worthy of it.
