One little thing, and this isn't something wrong with it, just something I would have done (I am dieing to make a movie like this, it was in the script stage when I broke my thumb. Now I can't write). I would have made the, I guess you could call them zombies, have sort of wounds on they're faces or something to signify that they weren't just a bunch of high-school bullies :).

Anyways, loved it, subscribed, and good luck on your 1.5 hour film.

Beats the winner. but not the second place..it looks as though you almost had a identical idea/plot as the indy mogul test film for the shaky cam. Thats my guess to why they didnt consider it. Nice shots though.

the first gunhit was used with a air compressor with fake blood. but I thought it would be easier to do CG so the 2nd hit was a cg blood hit.

thats the trick to these kinds of films, you dont really want to have slow paced scenes unless you suprise your audience at the end with something big. I like doing fast paced scenes because you can use ALOT of shots to tell a story in a limited amount of time. I think I used 34 different shots in 60 seconds.

This is excellent.But im worried, because i entered, and iv got a shitty camcorder, and you have a good camera, good crew, good cast, good props ect. I hope indymogul dont let the contestant with the better quality of video win...

seriously man. Keep your head up, EVERYONE is going to do a zombie movie... the only reason i entered the competetion was for exposure to my channel, and the camera isnt everything at all, even if you have an expensive camera its crap without knowledge of angles cinemetography and good editing, apply those techniques with everything you do and you will have a good movie, even with a camera phone video...

He speaks the truth, Besides if you read the full info on the contest they said they would judge based on film making skills no equipment. I mean for all we know this guy could have HD Flip (because youtube does a poor job at re compressing most of the time) But he makes it look awesome with color correction and stylizing and knowing how to move the camera, the best way to learn these things is to experiment, just get out there and do it! If you notice many of these films just use what they got

Perfect example check out one of my good friends submissions for the contest (Pwnisher) he used a cheap sont handycam and it looks fantastic because he used lighting and clever shots.

Brett, that was very well done. Like the early gunshot hits with the blood effects and the ending was great. Would've loved to have seen it looked more zombie like makeup wise, but other than that, that's a great -and quick- story. Hope you plan to make an extended version of this someday.
