A friend who now lives in long island claims to have known of one owners of the amittyville house after the murders occurred. The story as it was told to me the new owner tried to renovate the house and when he stayed there for his 1st week he heard voices and at one point he witnessed the walls bleed.

No. It's all been debunked. The part about the Catholic church is urban legend. No priest has ever, ever been to the Defeo Home, in fact. The family that moved in after the Lutzes has lived there happily for over 30 years, and don't believe a lick of this nonsense.

The only mystery here is whether or not Ron Defeo's sister was his accomplice--a suicide pact seems likely. Also remember there was a violent storm the night of the killings.

I believe that Ronald DeFeo opened a door to the demonic in that house, and I believe what I've heard George and Cathy Lutz, and Ed and Lorraine Warren SAY. I reserve judgment on the book and movies for obvious reasons - like Lsesusan said, Hollywood exaggerates everything.
