Aerosmith's golden early years. Not that they haven't made some great stuff since then, but I kind of miss the passionate, slightly raw, bluesy, almost dirty sounds of their early records.
Oh YEAH... the Aerosmith I grew up with...... In all their GLORY!!! don't make it like this anymore is right! I agree with directorwvp2!!! SHARE IT WITH everyone that remembers,,, it's very rare. :) GREAT MEMORIES!!!!!
Aerosmith was everywhere in New England when I was growing up. Aerosmith is by far the greatest American rock band to ever step foot on a stage. No American band before or since has even come close to Aerosmith !
I live around the corner from 325 Commonwealth Avenue. Paul Revere's house may be on The Freedom Trail but here in Boston, it's the Aerosmith apartment that kicks ass as a landmark.
It's totally amazing how your instincts for drumming the table, knowing the "ZA's", the "heh, heh!" and the rest of the words all kick in when you hear the beginning of this song, one you haven't heard in years....
I like this song next to the last on the Album Pandora's Box and Train Kept A Rollin' . There are similar sounds in all 3 Songs with Rhythm and Drums!!!
1974 saw hits like Aerosmith - Lord of the thighs, lynyrd skynyrd- free bird and Grand Funk Railroad- Locomotion.
2011: Rebecca Black- Friday ... WTF happened? Todays music is unfathomable excrement for the most parts. It used to be that artist had to have talent to get famous.
@Julde1 its an industry 70's, 80's, 90's dont sell like it used to. if your like me you can adapt to the good music or live in a timed loop which ends soon. besides there are good artists out there. arcade fire, matthew good band, tegan and sara, kings of leon. barenaked ladies.
I was raised on Aerosmith from the age of 14 & I'm now 49. They are, and will always be, my favorite "true" rock band.Joe Perry's riftsand Steven Tyler's vocals. I mean, how much better can it get?
No band ever did it quite like AEROSMITH did. Aerosmith is the greatest American band to ever set foot on a stage, no American band before or since even comes close to Aerosmith
This has to be one of the all time sluttiest, grooved out motherfucker of a songs from the 70's...and I don't think any band has even comes close to achieving this since.
I'm 18. I've been an aeronut since I was 8, I used to listen to blues and jazz, pop everything but rock for whatever reason. Then I herd Aerosmith's toys in the attic, saw them in concert and knew I wanted to play guitar like Joe Perry. This is America's greatest rock act. since the 70's they've had hits on the charts. Its time for aerosmith to release a new album and show MTV & VH1 that there still boss.
i <3 this whole album no joke i love this old rock idk y but i really do. somethin about it that really REALLY kicks ass. like i listen to rap (pratically am a sterotypical wigger) but i love this album since i found it in my dads albums. aerosmith <3333
@hello96nessa I'm the same way, except I'm a year older. All of my friends say I listen to crap, yet when they pull up to school they're blaring "lil" wayne out of the speaker in their radio. I pull up and I'm blaring Aerosmith.
The kids don't realize what good music, but the teachers do and they like the fact I listen to such music.
I said "son, you're only 10, so don't let you rmother find this. But on this I-Pod, you'll discover a taste of what real music used to sound like. And yes, you can share it with your friends. But always remember, like rare coins, they don't make 'um like this anymore".
This is the first song appearing on the I-Pod I gave to my son.
@directorwvp2 you are a good father to clue your boy into the true heritage of Aerosmith. I had my 7 year old daughter honing her air guitar skills to Write Me A Letter and Combination when she was 3. Gotta keep the true Aerosmitty alive.
@directorwvp2 It's true. Look at new aerosmith lol... Very disappointing. At 2:13, is it steven tyler singing? Sounds so different! Like in dream on... He has 2 great voices...
