can u get this type of motor "screamer" on a bike that u get at a dealership? i have a 08 zx6r with a couple of mods but damn that sounds like a beast
@tookiemex It's pretty easy to get something similar sounding. Just hacksaw the silencer off your bike's exhaust and rev it to the redline everywhere you go lol. You'll be making almost as much noise but at a slightly lower pitch as your bike will be about 3000rpm or so down on this thing when it hits the limiter. Post a fly -by vid of you flat out when you've done it mate :]
@teamfab Dunno why so many fake men in MotoGP then. The only screamer bike in MotoGP was Kawasaki. That was 2008. There is no Kawa in MotoGP now. Go firgure!
Yeah, it's called superimpose an F1 engine sound over this audio track at just the right time. There aren't enough ignition events in a second out of a four cylinder to produce the similar pitch (frequency) of an F1 engine.
Idiot. People inside the paddock have spoken about this test before, if that's what you want to beleive it's fine, but it's also obvious you haven't ever heard a screamer inline 4, what you say just sounds like it makes sence, but the truth is you don't have a fucking clue.
a screamer inline four has crankpins set at 180 degrees, for 720 degrees of engine revolution you will have four identical ignition events, so you get a frequency of f=4R/s where f is engine's audible frequency, R is revolutions, and s is the number of seconds the sample is taken from. the close firing order engines such as the GP6/GP10 ducati and 2004+ yzr-m1 sound different because their firing orders aren't evenly spaced. this produces two different frequencies, the lower one you hear.
they have a normal, regular firing order. The other bikes are "big bang", meaning pairs of cylinders fire together or very close to each other. A Screamer fires like "boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom", while a big bang fires like "BOOM...BOOM...BOOM", or "boom-boom.....boom-boom......boom-boom....".
@hoosyerdaddie so is it like a constant fire ? like it sounds likes it on real high revs ? cuz my friends r1 sounds like a big block chevy lmao want it soundin like a racer but no idea what to upgrade :s
@keiran130 New R1s have a 90-degree crank, so they sound lower-pitched, despite revving just as high. If you really want it to sound like this, you need to buy a different bike.
Sounds exactly like an F1 car. I know there's a reason behind big-bang engines, but these sound so much cooler! I wonder what a screamer version of an RC211V would sound like?
Yeah, big bang engines are designed to give power in more manageable burst to help traction. Maybe more teams will run screamers now ECU TC is more popular.
you were, unless that bike red lines at 30k rpm.

miss the sound of a screamer engine in motogp, but obviously on most of the tracks in the calender the big bang engine is the number 1 choice
