The ritual editions that are to be implemented on Nov. 27th are very similar to the rites of the Black Mass from only 100 years ago. By deleting the name of the Holy Ghost and replacing it with 'spirit', what the Masonic pagans worship, this destroys any remnant of validity. This is an attempt by the Jewish-Masonic leadership of these liturgical changes to have 1 billion 'Catholics' chant along with a Transcendental Black Mass, fulfilling Apoc. 22:17. Run.
@stevesilvia what I think, !? Train just outside the railway does not reach to any place. like 1-1=0.
"Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God"-Leviticus 26:1
that why I said Pagans. (Idols even around their necks of a man they stupidly thought is God).
In rome the centre of the catholic faith. in the roof an Image (Paint by Devils).
@Orsan13 if people were to "search the scriptures" (cf. John 5:39), they would find the opposite is true. God forbade the worship of statues, but he did not forbid the religious use of statues. Instead, he actually commanded their use in religious contexts! (1 Chr. 28:18–19). Ezekiel 41:17–18, (Num. 21:8–9).
Miracle of 09 miracles of Moses for the children of Israel, and it was with the magicians of Pharaoh. and it is not an Idol or image to worship but MIRACLE
.
When Moses went to meet his Lord and let the children of Israel with his brother Haruon. After crossing the Red Sea and drowned Pharaoh and his soldiers
they saw a people worship idols, and they took jewelry and formed a statue of a cow and worship him.
When Moses returned Burned the idol and threw him into the sea
@stevesilvia Your argument was the story of Moses. (and this is the truth from the past.).
What you doing with Statue of Jesus !? IS JESUS THE TRUE GOD? or John 17:3
your words " Educate your self, learn love" I used your advice I educate my self and I learn how to share love by telling what I know from my education.
@stevesilvia you believe not in your bible you can not old man. even you do not answear my first q? but I will answear your Jesus PBUH is only a word of God. not a son not a God. you worship him in vain matt 15:9. and there is more verses. your way of life is wrong.
@Orsan13 your name calling speaks a lot about you....I wonder what other Christians will think of your example here? John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we saw his glory, the glory as it were of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." read your bible, like I said we believe Jesus is God.
@stevesilvia it seems to me you ever ask or answear a question in your life. witch bible you want to me read who was written by men like me and you ('not words of god') and I build with it a knowledge to my Eternale life. why you thought I am a fool or stupid to believe that. there is a book not touched ever not like the bible many versions exist each one change it like he want and after that you think it is Holly or sacret.
@Orsan13 the church teaches "Idolatry is a perversion of man’s innate religious sense. An idolater is someone who ‘transfers his indestructible notion of God to anything other than God’" (CCC 2114).
There is no mystery here, only idolatry. This is the error of Aaron and the goldencalf. Calling something that isn't God , God. How much paganism can you mix with the Gospel and it still be the Gospel? Answer; NONE
Steve, thanks for this video and your posts. I am thankful to be Catholic and pray very hard for communion and unity of all souls, especially all Christians, for Jesus' own prayer... John 17:21!!! All Christians are brothers and sisters, all people are in the human family together. Let's love one another the way we were meant to~everybody!!! PS Its definitely not Jesus whos keeping Christians and humans of all creeds apart. If it's not Him, then I'll let you ponder who, or what, is.
Continued from below... Would spring up from each man's different opinion. Where is the unity in that? Also, since we are physical forms ourselves, it would also make sense for the Church to be a physical form as well.
@Double07Commander: I believe that it would make more sense to have a physical "mother" (the Church) to make sure that her children do not go astray in their beliefs by interpreting the Scripture for them. If it is really only through Scripture that we are to be saved, and each man may interpret it as he will, then it would be inevitable that countless denominations of Christianity would spring up fr
This just goes to show you how weak minded people are and how much this religion is just a means of gaining follower through entertainment (bad music and preachings at that.) Most people of this faith have no free thinking of their own. Its a family tradition stuffed down the throats of generations. The book itself was written by exiled Jewish outcasts. They formed a cult, Gained weak minded followers, then started the biggest fashion trend/bandwagon the world has ever seen, Sad.
This is beautiful! Regardless if you believe or not please have some respect for a faith that so many value. The ONE principal that most legitamate religions preech is to love and respect one another. All we need in this world is some understanding.
And as Catholics or Christian it isn't up to us to Judge or condemn those who don't beleive or understand our practices.
@Broman1997 With all due respect, you lack zeal. It is clear what Catholics believe - unless you are Catholic (except for rare occasions), you will not have eternal life in heaven. This is a harsh reality. To truely love your neighbour means to correct them when they are wrong. Being certain of your faith you'll be certain of this fact. Do not allow subjective truth and relativism dilute your faith.
The Secular New Order is in with Vatican II. By worshipping the Masonic Trinity, they are no longer Catholic. In fact, there is no official Catholic Church anymore- they are Judeo-Masonic. This is why it's an Apocalypse- Lucifer has won. The Authentic Third Secret of Fatima was released in April, we are in the final 70 weeks of Daniel. FATIMAMOVEMENT d o t c o m has all the documents that prove the Lord is not the Catholic god, Our Lady is in the Trinity, the Holy Ghost is the Father. JC is God.
The catholic Mass is the greatest mystery we have here on earth. It unites Heaven and earth and Jesus offers Himself to the Father for our sins, like if we were 2000 years before when Christ died on the cross. At the elevation, we are at the foot of the Cross and we receive at the communion Jesus that has risen.
I agree with symbolism..like the baptism. Taking the bread as the body and the wine as his blood, is rather ok but in symbolism. Of course to remember him as well but why remember HIm if we believe He is still alive!! But HERE is the bread that comes down from heaven( meaning he is here with us still> and If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever, meaning if we except the Lord Jesus as our Saviour. contd
This bread(jesus) is my flesh(God him self as the son and incarnated), which I will give for the life of the world(salvation). Now we have to remember that the Lord in many cases spoke in analogy form. Take for example the fig tree and the fruit it bares..which would refer to us.
the priest does not take the place of Jesus. Jesus is Jesus and He has already offered Himself. No one has the authority to take Jesus' place in order to offer Him as a sacrifice for the sins of the world. And what is worse, the catholic priest believes that when he takes Jesus' place he then has the right to offer Him as an unbloody sacrifice. This clearly denies His real blood sacrifice. It is sinister for the priest to believe that he is himself and Jesus all at the same time.
The catholic mass is not in the bible. Paul never held up the bread and wine asking the Father to accept the Lord's supper as an unbloody sacrifice of Jesus Himself. In 1 Cor 11:20-34 Paul is talking about the disrespect the corinthians were showing toward Jesus and the others during the celebration of the Lord's supper. Maybe for catholics transubstantiation is comfortable as long as the bread and wine doesnt really turn into His real body and blood, if it did would they still eat it. NO!!!
The catholic church has no right to offer Jesus to the Father as an unbloody sacrifice through transubstantiation. The blood sacrifice has already been offered once for all time - and Jesus accomplished this. There must be a shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sins. "Do this in remembrance of Me", means that when we partake of His supper we remember what He has really done for us. His blood sacrifice and resurrection was very real and it was very sufficient for all the sins of mankind.
God, by His own decree, instituted the Passover as a PERPETUAL institution, specifically constituting a) a sacrifice b) a feast and c) a memorial. (Exodus 12)
That was always the Jewish faith.
The euCHaRIST is our New Passover, with the perfect Lamb of God physically at its centre.
"Take and eat (feast). This is my body which will be given up for you (sacrifice). Do this in memory of me (memorial)."
It really doesn't get any simpler. Nor can its nature ever be altered or argued away.
"… from the rising of the sun [when the Son is lifted up] even to the going down, [to the end of time] My Name is great among the Gentiles, and in every place [worldwide] there is sacrifice [one eternal sacrifice], and there is offered to My Name a clean oblation [offered by the Eternal High Priest /Victim], for My Name is great among the Gentiles." Mal 1:11
God decrees it. Gentiles do it. The Eucharist is the ONLY way for man to be IN Christ - as He is IN the Father and the Father IN Him.
@francisxcc For me and for You the Eucharist is a great present. But we have to accept non catholics opinions, too. Of course we don't have to agree, but we have to bee wise. We are all encouraged for that by 'Nostra aetate'.
Nostra aetate merely forbids "any discrimination against men or harassment of them because of their race, color, condition of life, or religion." Nowhere does it imply, let alone say, that the *absolute* Truth (Who is Christ Himself) mustn't be proclaimed - and proclaimed loudly and clearly.
What I wrote was a simple vital fact that applies to all of mankind. More people would find life by learning this, not less.
As for 'opinions' (including my own) they're worth 2c/doz.
There's nothing mysterious in the catholic mass..... it's only a human invention, very attractive (but devilish perfid...) church religious ceremony invented for deceiving of naive, one-minded people....who "seek God and salvation" in dazzling spectacular rituals.. instead of building a personal relationship to GOD founded in His Word!
@HallelujahForEver I guess you didn't read 1 Corinthians 11:24 " And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me" And Luke 22:19 "And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me"
@stevesilvia Of course I did read it many times...don't you se Christ's words "this do in REMEMBRANCE of me"? So, it is symbolical.
I ask you some logical questions: how a mortal man(priest) can turn a wafer into the body of Christ God, and wine into His blood, too??? If so, then catholic priest is powerfull like GOD! And this is nothing else but a gross blasphemy and catholic mass is a blatant blasphemic ritual...it puts the Lord into host/wafer and wine!!!
@HallelujahForEver, and don't forget the key word....Jesus said " Do this..." Do you? We do, exactly as Jesus did at the last supper, and as the first Christians did as recorded in history. To us it is not symbolic, based on John " But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
I believe it is symbolic, more or less saying "Eat with me, remember me when i go to do my Father's work. We won't be doing this again after tonight. This meal is to remember me when I leave"
If the bread is literally his flesh, and the wine is literally his blood, then it seems cannibalistic to me. It just feels creepy to say "I'm eating Jesus to remember Him."
I do understand why you replicate the last supper, to remember Jesus's sacrifice, but some of it has to be symbolic
It does sound bad if we would have to eat raw flesh and drink raw blood. Point taken. And this may just be why He allows his flesh and blood to be in a form of bread and wine so it wouldn't be too painful for us to consume. Remember how He said to the people "unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you will have no life in you?" and someone actually took off because they could not accept it as some of us could not accept it even today. Jesus meant what He said.
You may be able to rationalize "do this in remembrance of Me" as symbolism, but then you must reconcile the fact that Paul believed it was anything BUT symbolic: 1 Cor "Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the BODY and BODY OF THE Lord...eats and drinks judgment to himself, not DISCERNING the Lord’s BODY."
Definition "discern" to recognize, detect, or perceive.
@HallelujahForEver We are right, as Yeshua said DO IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME, the Catholics have a memorial acclamation they sing/say, that states WHEN WE EAT THIS BREAD AND DRINK THIS CUP, quoting Shaul in 1 Corinthians 11, Shaul taught that it was a remembrance not Cannibalism!
I don't believe that believing whether or not this is mean to be literal or symbolic will have an impact on a person's salvation. Don't be so puffed up with pride if you are right, and don't be distressed if you are wrong.
@HallelujahForEver Don't forget that Christ said that He'll be with us until the end of the world. Did Christ mean that He would be with us in a vague way? Did He mean He would "be in out heart"? Did He mean "symbolically"?
Did God become man, or didn't He? The Incarnation was not ambiguous or vague. God became flesh and blood. And, that same flesh was torn from His Body; blood poured from His Wounds. Christ was very, very real.
Our Lord said "This *is* My Body", "This *is* My Blood".
@TenderTrap86 Do not think so much on this; it is not important. God did not become man, the holy spirit, or anything else man will make up to take the place of God. There is only one God and he needs not anything else to make Him whole.
@TenderTrap86 Everyone needs God. When this world is destroyed, songs, money, and idols will do you no good. We build towering structures, but leave the homeless outside of it to sleep. We perform traditions in the name of God, but forsake Him when we tie ourselves to these other things. No man can have more than one master, Jesus teaches us.
@TenderTrap86 What questions have you? I thought I had answered them. If it's about the Old Testament, I cannot speak much on that. I have not read it yet.
there is no need for stupid arguments among followers of Christ. down to the core, we all believe in Christ as the Savior. Why troll? it does no good; not for you or I.
Catholics are not followers of Christ! You are called Catholics not Christians big difference in belief. Christians believe Christ paid the penalty in full. The catholics believe in good works to get to heaven and other religious activities you have to do. They will be judged by the law since they want to be under the Law. Christians are not under the Law, they are under Grace. Ephesians 2:8-9
If you have read the Bible then you would know the truth! Apparently you dont. I bet you believe in purgatory too!!!!!!!!!!!! I bet you believe in the sacraments too!!!! I bet you believe in the Eucarust too!!!!!!!!!! I bet you believe Mary is not a sinner too!!!!!!!!
@Double07Commander despite your words of anger and prejudice, we are Christians, and you cannot change that. In fact, according to history, the first Christians called themselves catholic, meaning, "universal". It is recorded in the Apostles Creed, which was written and used by the first Christians, to declare their faith in Christ. The word is still used today by many religions..."I believe in one holy and catholic church..." We are Christians, but we call ourselves catholic.
Sorry I am not angry or prejudice!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont recall of any of my words so. The problem is a Universal church is a big problem today. Christ never ever taught this universal church mumbo jumbo.. Basically you are saying it doesnt matter we are going to heaven. Are all millions of Catholics are going to heaven? Let us reason what God is saying in the Scripture and see who are the true Christians who are preaching Christ's message. I have read it and it is by faith alone.
@Double07Commander, what I am saying is that just as the first Christians believed, we also believe..... I never said all are going to heaven. Your statement that Catholics are not followers of Christ is a prejudice statement...but I forgive you....
I know you didnt say all catholics are not going to heaven, also what I am saying if a person does not understand the gospel of Christ. He cannot be saved? John Chapter 3 explains it in detail. The Catholic church dont believe some of Christ teaching. BUT some catholics do understand when they read their bibles and become saved. We have to understand the message it is about having faith in Christ alone and not works to be saved.
@Double07Commander The Church believes that we must "walk the talk' in our lives as Christians. What good does it do to say you are saved, yet do not give food to those in need? Thus, works are the fruit of our faith.
@Double07Commander, the Catholic Church does not teach that we receive initial justification by good works. You do not have to do good works in order to come to God and be justified. The Catholic Church does not teach that we earn our salvation by our own efforts, although it does teach that we have to work on our salvation. The same apostle who wrote Galatians also wrote Philippians, wherein Paul says, "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" (Phil. 2:12).
It is NOT symbolic because Christ did not say "this symbolizes my body or symbolizes my blood." He says This is my body... this is my blood... do this in remembrance of me." This Tradition has been passed down to all of us (all Christians) from Christ to the apostles to Church Fathers and all the saints and finally to us. Who are we now, 2,000 years later, to question this mysterious Sacrament? Try to understand and discover this awesome gift He has left us. God bless.
@stevesilvia Don't forget that Christ said that He'll be with us until the end of the world.
"Take note of those who hold heterodox opinions on the grace of Jesus Christ which has come to us, and see how contrary their opinions are to the mind of God ... They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer because they do not confess that the Eucharist is the flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ, flesh which suffered for our sins and which that Father, in his goodness, raised up again."
Ignatius again from the yeatr 110...let's see...that's...77 years after Christ.
"For we do not take these things as ordinary bread or ordinary drink. Just as our Savior Jesus Christ was made flesh by the word of God and took on flesh and blood for our salvation, so also were we taught that the food, for which thanksgiving has been made through the word of prayer instituted by him, and from which our blood and flesh are nourished after the change, is the flesh of that Jesus who was made flesh."
@HallelujahForEver Then why then that when people go away when they said who could accept this, the Lord Jesus did not stop them but said to His disciples do you want to go also? Why He did not say, no don't go it is only a symbol it is not real Me that you will receive. So all that cannot believe are one with those who said "who can accept this hard saying, to eat the body and drink the blood?"
@HallelujahForEver Do this in memory of me.(Jesus Christ the Son of God who died on the cross for our salvation and sins.) Baptism is to follow with Jesus. The wafer is a memory of the sacrifice Jesus made for man kind as He did on the last super. You do not have to be a Priest to do it. Do it with your friends and family. I accept the priests devotion to God and thank them for sharing his faith in God with me. Jesus went into the Church and called it his Fathers house.
@HallelujahForEver It the Real body and blood of CHRIST.. It turns into his body and blood because the priest who takes the place of Jesus who present right then and there.. says this IS my body and blood..not this Symbolizes my body and blood.
@HallelujahForEver you should chk out some miraclesJesus who is the bread.. has done while the preists were giving communion and also during adorations..The preist is the representation of Jesus when he was giving us the brad which is his body
@HallelujahForEver - We (the RCC) take Jesus Christ at His word - we do not believe Him to be a lier. So we eat His Body and we drink His Blood - because He, God made Flesh, commanded us to do it. For unless you eat of His Body and drink of His Blood, you cannot share in His eternal life. To God all things are possible and totally logical - for it is His Peace we receive, not yours or any other mere mortals. God Bless You!
Just from reading your response above gives me a thought that you may not have sufficient theological understanding of the Eucharist and Its relation to the priest. Priests have no power to turn bread and wine into Body and Blood of Jesus. It is Christ's mercy and love that allows it to happen THROUGH the ministry Christ invests in the priests. All Priests all in In Persona Christi: in the person of Christ.
@stevesilvia...right side of Heavenly Father? (read the Creed if you prefer it..) If so, how's that His real presence in a man-made wafer is possible? You should use your brain more...not believe in church invented fairy-tales for little children!
Don't you know that Jesus spoke in parables and used symbolic expressio ns, too? If you take these verses - "Jesus' real presence in eucharist" literally, then you must take this verses as well - Matthew 6:29,30.!!! Do you DO that?
@HallelujahForEver Jesus Himself instituted the holy Mass. He said : "Do this in memory of me". We catholics only celebrate the Mass since Jesus asked us to do it. The Catholic Church is the only Church Jesus founded.
@FrankRC85 That's simply not true. Jesus founded no church. He was a messenger of God - that is all. Catholics put so much faith in the tradition that nothing else matters. Why, everytime you meet do you perform this 'last supper' ritual? It is of no consequence, for Jesus teaches that it is what is in your heart that matters. It is sad to see you think so much of song, idols, and money and everything that does not matter.
@humanoidcontent - "Catholics put so much faith in the tradition that nothing else matters." -
That's a large, steaming pile of bull shit. Father John Corapi is considered to be the best Catholic preacher in the English speaking world. He can take any passage from the Old Testament and corollate it with the New. And, I garauntee he's not the only preist who's ever been able to do that, nor will he be the last.
The Old Testament only makes sense in the light of the Catholic faith.
@HallelujahForEver Jesus Himself instituted the holy Mass. He said : "Do this in memory of me". We catholics only celebrate the Mass since Jesus asked us to do it. The Catholic Church is the only Church Jesus founded. The Bible has been compiled by the Catholic Church and the new Testament has been written by the Catholic Church as well. If the Bible is the word of God, it is because the Church has a divine origin and is leaded by God. All the apostles were catholics
Amen to your comment, and the mystery of the catholic church is that they believe a lie. I believe history repeat it self since Isreal's fall to babylon. and now Rome is the Whore of Babylon all over again with lies and deception. Leading millions into destruction.
Roman catholic church is the antichrist! Sunday laws are coming from rome! mark of the beast will come from rome. sabbath is saturday you christian killing catholics. catholics killed 100 million christians trying to eradicate the bible and christianity.
1. Since the anti-Christ will deny salvation comes through Christ, there is not any possible way that the CC could even be in the running for the anti-Christ.
2. Sunday's have been the day that Christians met since the return of the Lord to heaven. Why? Because Christ rose on the first day.
3. 67 years after Christ, Christianity was spreading through the Greco-Roman world, and 90% of Christians were not Jewish. They did not follow the Jewish Sabbath.
Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man -- living in the sky -- who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do.. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time! ..But He loves you.
@skelt93 Jesus teaches that God wants us to love ourselves, love our neighbors, and love him. All three of these things are interconnected and lead not only to an abundant life on earth, but eternal life after this journey is done. Don't so caught up in "religion" that you miss God altogether. I have experienced God's redemptive love and nothing can convince me otherwise. God loves you too. Shalom my brother.
@skelt93: You just watched the invention of lying didn't you? Overall I liked that movie, yet I cannot believe that this world is all there is and nothing else. There would be no point for me to live, if this world was the only stop along the world.
Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandements of men. Full well ye reject the commandments of GOD, that ye may keep your own tradition, -Mark 7:7-9.
the "mystery" of the catholic faith is WHY would you NOT BE ABLE to have a BIBLE of your own? their excuse was/is, so man doesnt find out the TRUTH. Another SICK, TWISTED view by the heirarchy that has NOTHING to do with TRUE CHRISTIANITY.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
What part of that clear statement do Catholics not understand ?
If you believe you can earn your way to heaven via good works. You are denying the Gospel ie: You are saying it wasn't nessary for Jesus do die for your sin, because you can make it by your own self-rightiousness. That is a lie from the pit of hell. I've yet to hear the Pope preach the Gospel from scripture
Thanks for uploading this, it's beautiful. If you like sacred music, you might like to hear my own piano composition "Deo Omnis Gloria" which is inspired by the Holy Mass (click on my name and go to Part 5 of my video). Thanks again and God bless. Chris
@bigbadwolff1 I would agree with different applications. Interpretation, however is not strictly limited to one thing. For example, understanding the parable as meaning forgiveness could have many applications. But one could interpret this parable as also meaning that we should accept people from other backgrounds, or people that have left the Church and are returning. That could also have many applications for our life.
Strange? The RCC teaches what every other man-centered religion teaches, that one has to work for his salvation. True Christianity teaches Salvation is a gift, apart from any of our efforts. we can never be worthy by our or any other human merits
catholics killed those who did not follow them ,,,but instead read the bible and tried to follow GOD --have you seen how the vatican and poop (oh sorry pope) have changed and added and subtracted on any whim? yea no excuse when you're before Almighty explaining yourself why yu fool s follow man and PAGAN practices
Catholic practice everything that Jesus taught them. That is why Jesus protects the Catholic Church for more than 2000 years. The others just fall apart.
I encourage you all to watch thirdeaglebook's video. You will learn a lot.
A very powerful video, with the writings, even though I cannot attend mass at this time, ty for this beautiful representation to Easter sunday April4th,2010. May God Bless you all. Your video, has stirred something powerful inside of me todday, hopefully it will last a long time.
Christ died once for our sins; His death on Calvary purchased for us the rewards of Eternal Life and the end of death. However, the Catholic Mass offers us these graces that He won for us. Since we are human beings and strive everyday for holiness, we NEED His graces, and the biggest grace offered is the Eucharist, Christ's True Body and Blood. He does not die all over again, but it is the same Sacrafice that transcends Time. Once you realize this, you will obtain true Peace, Hope, and Love!
Christ said it is finished. Nobody can put a price on eternal life. Not one person could afford to pay for it. Not me, not you, not anybody on this planet. If we all got together we couldn't add up enough works to earn it in a million lifetimes. Only Christ can afford to pay the tab. Only Christ is qualified for the job. I don't remember Christ asking any of us to be references on His resume. If you think Christ's resume is lacking then cut Him out of the Bible.
This is also a straw man argument. There is no dispute among Protestants or Catholics regarding the efficacy of Christ's sacrifice, or the completeness, or the necessity. Do your research rather than making assumptions. Also, read your Bible. Jesus gave the authority of his Church to his apostles. Does this mean that Jesus doesn't believe his work is enough, since he told his apostles they hold the "keys of heaven"? Matthew 16:17
@stevesilvia He didn't say, "do this in memory of me every week for your salvation." Remember, it was called the 'last' supper, not the first of many.
@FaithRationale YEA i dont remember christ saying anything about coming up with new rules and regulations . why not VATICAN 111 where you all worship dogs and put shit in your shoes to reach heaven??? same thing.
The disciples did not gather to celebrate the "Last Supper". They gathered to celebrate the "Breaking of Bread". There's a big difference between the two and our attitude toward the Holy Mass being the Sacrifice of Our Lord.
When Jesus said, "Do this in remembrance of me.." He did not meant to reinact the Last Supper but the Breaking of Bread which points to His Sacrifice on the Cross.
1Cor11: 20 When you come therefore together into one place, it is not now to eat the Lord's supper.
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. MT.16:18
But there is hope , place your Faith in Christs completed work, by His Grace. Turn from sin, making Jesus Christ Lord( Master) in all you do. When we are indwelt by His Spirit He guides us into all Truth through dwelling richly in His Word.We are saved unto good works. No ritual or sacrament infuses grace, no man can declare Divine forgiveness. Christ Alone calls for those who thirst to come to Him, and His propitiation to the Father declares us righteous. Gods Grace is sufficient for all
greatest, if someone doesnt believe the Bible is the final word what common ground do you have? If the pope makes a mistake, what authority do we go to? What if tradition is contradictory of Scripture? What if the visible Church acts in a fallacious manner ,degrading the Name of Christ and all who follow Him? Who is the final authority, not a system that has historically been scandalized by its own hand from before the middle ages until this day.
and there is no need to make such accusations, or anything like that, we are simply talking about the bible and god, lets not get off to something heated, lets be christians
also why if you dont think the bible is accurate why are you qouting john 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
so how does this work, do you just pick and choose what you want in there or is it something els?
You have just constructed what is referred to as a "straw man argument." Catholics believe that the ancient Christian tradition is necessary for keeping the correct interpretation of scripture. This does not translate to "Catholics don't believe the Bible is accurate." Catholics, like Protestants, believe that the Bible is infallible. The only difference is that Catholics don't superimpose their own personal interpretations, but carry them down from the early Church.
@agentjs09 if the bible is infallible as you just said then why on earth would we need Tradition to aid the bible, thats like the Jws in a way, or the Mormons, the word of god is perfect and living, God is the one who reveals and inlighting men to scripture sure God uses great men to help some of us less un-educated in the text or the greek or hebrew, sure i have no problem with any of that.
so please explain what you mean exactly in laymens terms so that i can understand you correctly thx
First of all, by saying "the Bible is infallible" that does not directly mean "the Bible is the only source of divine truth." You should ask, does the Bible itself teach this? Is this what the early Christians believed? The answer is no. Even when the Bible was compiled in the council of Nicea, this is obviously not what was believed. The Church was passed down from the apostles.
@agentjs09 THE bible is the inspired word of God complete.
God has revealed Himself in the Bible without error. The Bible itself claims this inerrancy (2 Timothy 3:16-17 (4); Matthew 5:18
So if the bible claimes to be infallible and the divine source of truth why would anyone go to something else, Is gods word not powerful enough , complete , does the word not do its job, does it come back void ?
the bible is my final authority , not the church like the mormons or JWs or catholics, NOT Man
@greatestgiftis, the problem is that everyone can interpret the bible differently. Even in Jesus time, the Scriptures were used against Jesus. Today, there are thousands of different religions/churches, that interpret the bible on their own, yet each have different and opposing beliefs. What good is an infallible book without an infallible interpretation?? That is why Jesus gave the "keys" to Peter...
@stevesilvia the book is infallible correct, and then one who inspired men to write will also guid us into all truth when reading it, And yes there are thousands of churches and Religions out there who all claim the same thing the Roman Catholic church does, one who is very close to the catholic church is the Jws the claim to be the very mouth piece off god and apart from them -there church there is no salvation. Ocult
@stevesilvia All jokes aside , if you want some answers to your false claims please watch it get dismantled with out a shadow of doubt, put in youtube search bar. 1-5 WAS PETER THE FIRST POPE ? - Debate -Martin -vs- Pacwa
@greatestgiftis, what you believe about Peter is not important. What is important is what Peter taught. We believe and understand that Peter is our first Pope.
@stevesilvia well i guess what you want to believe about peter is up to you, but what is taught in the bible is different, and as you probably seen in the video your understanding is off, as much as i hate to say that, but you did see the video and how it dont hold or line up. so i guess we dis-agree
@stevesilvia i know you dis-agree, the problem is you dis-agree becouse of what the church tells you, the church is your final authority and not God word, just like when we look at the doctrines of Mary, etc. that cannot be backed by the bible, but yet you still believe it becouse the church tells you. so thats why you disagree, it comes down to either men and the church or what the bible actualy says, so as i said we dis agree and that ok
@stevesilvia The problem isnt the interpretation,( because Scripture has one meaning ,many applications) The problem is we Protestants dont agree with what your Apostate system has added to Scripture ( "Sacred Tradition").
No matter how you cut it there is no prescedent in Scripture for your definition of Tradition.
You adhere to Tradition that is completely foreign to the Holy Writ.
@bigbadwolff1, the only tradition we have are the oral traditions passed down by the Apostles, because the bible was not yet put together. If you want to know the truth, please ask. Interpretation cannot be left up to everyone to define on their own. That is the ONLY reason there are so many different churches today, each with different and opposing beliefs... That is why Jesus gave Peter the "keys".
1 Many of your oral traditions are completely foreign to Scripture. The OT was in place by the Jews, and the Gifts of the Spirit and Apostles doctrine were in place till the NT autographs were written.
2 The fact that there are so many Churches proves nothing on your part. Are you ignoring the fact that Catholicism has many different sects within it that cannot agree on many issues and doctrines, and official doctrine has constantly evolved through the ages?
3 "The Keys" are another misnomer on the part of the RCC caused by their claim that they posess the "Keys", which leads them to interpret the Scriptures any way they want. When in actuality it is the confession of Faith that Peter made .
4 Scripture interpretation isnt as hard as the RCC claims it is. We are to discover the meaning of the passage as the original author would have intended and what the original hearers would have understood. Not spiritualize nor manipulate that meaning by twisting a Scripture to give the RCC the authority to have control of the masses by making them earn their Salvation to the perpetrators benefit
@bigbadwolff1, thats strange. Every other religion says what you say, yet they all believe in different and opposing beliefs. Doesn't sound like you are all "one in Christ" does it? That is why Jesus gave the "keys" to Peter. Self interpretation is dangerous, and wrong.
@bigbadwolff1 If there is no spiritual meaning, what good is the Bible? It's a terrible history book (which it is not intended to be). If it's fiction, than why base a religion off of it? If it is truly about God made man: Jesus, then it has to have a spiritual meaning behind it. And if it does have a spiritual meaning, wouldn't you say it will be dynamic? It affects people all over the world on a personal level. If you want to call that twisted, so be it.
@michelsonluke I dont understand where you are coming from, please elaborate.
But if I do understand you correctly, I was speaking of "spiritualizing" Scripture, which opens the door for most any kind of fallacious interpretation. Yes, the Bible is a spiritual book, yet given to us in logical language to understand as it was meant to be understood by its original readers. "Twisted" if you read what I wrote, refered to the manner in which some interpret Gods Word, not Scripture itself.
@bigbadwolff1 I don't see how the Bible would be of any good to man if it didn't speak to them on a personal level. True, there is an interpretation to the Bible. But is there just one? For example, the Parable of the Prodigal Son unique to Luke's gospel... One could see that it means coming back from sin to God the Father. The jealous brothers could be those who are Christian upset about a person who lived a truly sinful life going to heaven simply through Baptism or death-bed conversion.
I am catholic and PROUD! (: Making my confirmation in feb!

22:17. Run.

When Moses went to meet his Lord and let the children of Israel with his brother Haruon. After crossing the Red Sea and drowned Pharaoh and his soldiers

But HERE is the bread that comes down from heaven( meaning he is here with us still> and If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever, meaning if we except the Lord Jesus as our Saviour. contd

the priest does not take the place of Jesus. It is sinister for the priest to believe that he is himself and Jesus all at the same time.
bornagainsaint1 1 year ago
The catholic mass is not in the bible. Paul never held up the bread and wine asking the Father to accept the Lord's supper as an unbloody sacrifice of Jesus Himself. In 1 Cor 11:20-34 Paul is talking about the disrespect the corinthians were showing toward Jesus and the others during the celebration of the Lord's supper. Maybe for catholics transubstantiation is comfortable as long as the bread and wine doesnt really turn into His real body and blood, if it did would they still eat it. NO!!!
bornagainsaint1 1 year ago

The Eucharist is the ONLY way for man to be IN Christ - as He is IN the Father and the Father IN Him.
francisxcc 1 year ago
@francisxcc For me and for You the Eucharist is a great present. But we have to accept non catholics opinions, too. Of course we don't have to agree, but we have to bee wise. We are all encouraged for that by 'Nostra aetate'.
21061984t 1 year ago
@21061984t

@stevesilvia
I do understand why you replicate the last supper, to remember Jesus's sacrifice, but some of it has to be symbolic
sapnyosentry 1 year ago
@sapnyosentry

That's self-explanatory lanquage, no?

@HallelujahForEver We are right, as Yeshua said DO IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME, the Catholics have a memorial acclamation they sing/say, that states WHEN WE EAT THIS BREAD AND DRINK THIS CUP, quoting Shaul in 1 Corinthians 11, Shaul taught that it was a remembrance not Cannibalism!

@HallelujahForEver Don't forget that Christ said that He'll be with us until the end of the world. Did Christ mean that He would be with us in a vague way? Did He mean He would "be in out heart"? Did He mean "symbolically"?

@Double07Commander despite your words of anger and prejudice, we are Christians, and you cannot change that. In fact, according to history, the first Christians called themselves catholic, meaning, "universal". It is recorded in the Apostles Creed, which was written and used by the first Christians, to declare their faith in Christ. The word is still used today by many religions..."I believe in one holy and catholic church..." We are Christians, but we call ourselves catholic.

Let us reason what God is saying in the Scripture and see who are the true Christians who are preaching Christ's message. I have read it and it is by faith alone.

We have to understand the message it is about having faith in Christ alone and not works to be saved.
Double07Commander 9 months ago
@Double07Commander The Church believes that we must "walk the talk' in our lives as Christians. What good does it do to say you are saved, yet do not give food to those in need? Thus, works are the fruit of our faith.
stevesilvia 9 months ago
@stevesilvia
You are correct, works is the fruit of our faith. But works does not get you to heaven:)
Double07Commander 9 months ago

God bless.

I hunger for the bread of God, the flesh of Jesus Christ ...; I long to drink of his blood, the gift of unending love.
Ignatius of Antioch
Less than 100 years after Christ.

@HallelujahForEver

@HallelujahForEver
Justin Martyr, 2nd cent.
Hmmm, not symbolic!
baldonebear 1 year ago
@HallelujahForEver
The point is this:
I have many more quotes from the Patrisitcs within 150 years after Christ which all point to the same thing...they believed it was NOT symbolic.
Remembrance denotes a recollection of what Jesus did, not that it is symbolic.
baldonebear 1 year ago
@HallelujahForEver
One last item here:
"This is my body"
The Greek word here is "Esti" and it means "to be".
Not: "this represents", "this symbolizes".
You warped post-Reformation understanding does not stand up to the facts biblically or its historical use and understanding.
The few quotes I gave...and I do have many more...do you have some special revelation that these men did not?
baldonebear 1 year ago
@HallelujahForEver Then why then that when people go away when they said who could accept this, the Lord Jesus did not stop them but said to His disciples do you want to go also? Why He did not say, no don't go it is only a symbol it is not real Me that you will receive. So all that cannot believe are one with those who said "who can accept this hard saying, to eat the body and drink the blood?"
krizzia1000 1 year ago

God Bless You!
mmmail1969 1 year ago
@HallelujahForEver

Don't you know that Jesus spoke in parables and used symbolic expressio ns, too? If you take these verses - "Jesus' real presence in eucharist" literally, then you must take this verses as well - Matthew 6:29,30.!!! Do you DO that?

And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time! ..But He loves you.
skelt93 1 year ago
@skelt93 Jesus teaches that God wants us to love ourselves, love our neighbors, and love him. All three of these things are interconnected and lead not only to an abundant life on earth, but eternal life after this journey is done. Don't so caught up in "religion" that you miss God altogether. I have experienced God's redemptive love and nothing can convince me otherwise. God loves you too. Shalom my brother.

If you believe you can earn your way to heaven via good works. You are denying the Gospel ie: You are saying it wasn't nessary for Jesus do die for your sin, because you can make it by your own self-rightiousness. That is a lie from the pit of hell. Or would you agree with, there are many applications and aspects of a passage , but 1 interpretation.
bigbadwolff1 1 year ago
@bigbadwolff1 I would agree with different applications. Interpretation, however is not strictly limited to one thing. For example, understanding the parable as meaning forgiveness could have many applications. But one could interpret this parable as also meaning that we should accept people from other backgrounds, or people that have left the Church and are returning. That could also have many applications for our life.

The Holy Mass is never the "Lord's Supper" but the "Breaking of Bread", the fruit of the Sacrifice on Calvary.
This is the error of new teaching in Vatican II.
FaithRationale 2 years ago
@FaithRationale YEA i dont remember christ saying anything about coming up with new rules and regulations . why not VATICAN 111 where you all worship dogs and put shit in your shoes to reach heaven??? same thing.
zackrowe1 1 year ago
The disciples did not gather to celebrate the "Last Supper". They gathered to celebrate the "Breaking of Bread". There's a big difference between the two and our attitude toward the Holy Mass being the Sacrifice of Our Lord.
When Jesus said, "Do this in remembrance of me.." He did not meant to reinact the Last Supper but the Breaking of Bread which points to His Sacrifice on the Cross.
1Cor11: 20 When you come therefore together into one place, it is not now to eat the Lord's supper.

@greatestgiftis
The only difference is that Catholics don't superimpose their own personal interpretations, but carry them down from the early Church.
agentjs09 1 year ago
@agentjs09 if the bible is infallible as you just said then why on earth would we need Tradition to aid the bible, thats like the Jws in a way, or the Mormons, the word of god is perfect and living, God is the one who reveals and inlighting men to scripture sure God uses great men to help some of us less un-educated in the text or the greek or hebrew, sure i have no problem with any of that.
so please explain what you mean exactly in laymens terms so that i can understand you correctly thx
greatestgiftis 1 year ago
@greatestgiftis
The Church was passed down from the apostles.
agentjs09 1 year ago
@agentjs09 THE bible is the inspired word of God complete.
God has revealed Himself in the Bible without error. The Bible itself claims this inerrancy (2 Timothy 3:16-17 (4); Matthew 5:18
So if the bible claimes to be infallible and the divine source of truth why would anyone go to something else, Is gods word not powerful enough , complete , does the word not do its job, does it come back void ?
the bible is my final authority , not the church like the mormons or JWs or catholics, NOT Man
greatestgiftis 1 year ago
@greatestgiftis, the problem is that everyone can interpret the bible differently. Even in Jesus time, the Scriptures were used against Jesus. Today, there are thousands of different religions/churches, that interpret the bible on their own, yet each have different and opposing beliefs. What good is an infallible book without an infallible interpretation?? That is why Jesus gave the "keys" to Peter...
stevesilvia 1 year ago 2
@stevesilvia the book is infallible correct, and then one who inspired men to write will also guid us into all truth when reading it, And yes there are thousands of churches and Religions out there who all claim the same thing the Roman Catholic church does, one who is very close to the catholic church is the Jws the claim to be the very mouth piece off god and apart from them -there church there is no salvation. Ocult

greatestgiftis 1 year ago
@greatestgiftis, I disagree with your interpretation of the bible...
stevesilvia 1 year ago
@stevesilvia i know you dis-agree, the problem is you dis-agree becouse of what the church tells you, the church is your final authority and not God word, just like when we look at the doctrines of Mary, etc. that cannot be backed by the bible, but yet you still believe it becouse the church tells you. so thats why you disagree, it comes down to either men and the church or what the bible actualy says, so as i said we dis agree and that ok
greatestgiftis 1 year ago
@stevesilvia The problem isnt the interpretation,( because Scripture has one meaning ,many applications) The problem is we Protestants dont agree with what your Apostate system has added to Scripture ( "Sacred Tradition").
No matter how you cut it there is no prescedent in Scripture for your definition of Tradition.
You adhere to Tradition that is completely foreign to the Holy Writ.
bigbadwolff1 1 year ago
@bigbadwolff1, the only tradition we have are the oral traditions passed down by the Apostles, because the bible was not yet put together. If you want to know the truth, please ask. Interpretation cannot be left up to everyone to define on their own. That is the ONLY reason there are so many different churches today, each with different and opposing beliefs... That is why Jesus gave Peter the "keys".
stevesilvia 1 year ago
@stevesilvia

When in actuality it is the confession of Faith that Peter made .
.
bigbadwolff1 1 year ago
@stevesilvia
4 Scripture interpretation isnt as hard as the RCC claims it is. We are to discover the meaning of the passage as the original author would have intended and what the original hearers would have understood. Not spiritualize nor manipulate that meaning by twisting a Scripture to give the RCC the authority to have control of the masses by making them earn their Salvation to the perpetrators benefit
bigbadwolff1 1 year ago

If you want to call that twisted, so be it.
michelsonluke 1 year ago
@michelsonluke I dont understand where you are coming from, please elaborate.
But if I do understand you correctly, I was speaking of "spiritualizing" Scripture, which opens the door for most any kind of fallacious interpretation. Yes, the Bible is a spiritual book, yet given to us in logical language to understand as it was meant to be understood by its original readers. "Twisted" if you read what I wrote, refered to the manner in which some interpret Gods Word, not Scripture itself.
bigbadwolff1 1 year ago
@bigbadwolff1 I don't see how the Bible would be of any good to man if it didn't speak to them on a personal level. True, there is an interpretation to the Bible. But is there just one? For example, the Parable of the Prodigal Son unique to Luke's gospel... One could see that it means coming back from sin to God the Father. The jealous brothers could be those who are Christian upset about a person who lived a truly sinful life going to heaven simply through Baptism or death-bed conversion.
