Always overlooked as a great Bond film, I think it's the best - genius plot like no other, Dalton played it brilliantly, dark and violent (the only Bond film rated 15), believable villain perfectly portrayed, Q gets his biggest part ever, Benicio del Toro!, great locations, and the stunning climax on the desert road with the Kenworth tankers...wow

its coz daltons filmed didnt do aswell in the US coz they didnt understand the true nature of the character and bronsan was way too weak and pretty too be a proper bond its a shame he didnt do Goldeneye had he done it it would have been one of the best bond films

You obviously don't know much about Bond, Dalton Like Craig portray the charactor as it was written in the Original Fleming books, dark, cold, calculating, what connery, moore and brosnan portrayed was there own interpretation of the charactor but it was not like what Fleming wrote.

Honesty, I prefer "own" interpretations. Believe me, as a person whose reads the books and watch the movies. It would be a boring series if the actors played it just the character. Maybe it's me but in the novel, he didn't come off as a spy (almost over 50 cigs a day??), was patrionizing, sexist (much more in the novels), and just not that interesting, he was easily overshadowed. IMO, just because he's closer to the novel's doesn't make him the best Bond. That's a completely subjective debate.
