When he dropped the IC title to Chyna, he was not bound by a contract so he could've no showed and took the IC title over to WCW but Jarrett was professional enough to swallow his pride and let Chyna defeat him despite how ludicrous the idea was.

Vince actually wanted to keep WCW running, after WCW was bought out, the plans were to have shane run WCW (on tv) but stil have Vince oersee everything, but when Vince bought the company, he thought that he could still brodcast WCW on TBS, that failed. he then tried to bring it to other networks. WWE was on Spike at the time, so USA network and the stations associated with USA were not an option. There were problems with other network and getting a good time slot. They turned down a 2 am offer
