Why are white Americans so racist? If your the superior race how come you pick on colored races as to speak all these comments from white narrow minded Americans makes you think who is superior the one finding fault with others or the one getting on with life. . .

@Thomas761 Full throttle, pull stick into your gut, climb then cut throttle, release pull on stick (I think) and VERY hard rudder. You may need too climb more in real life though.
@Thomas761 From what I hear it's quite a simple move, I've seen P-51's fly but they'd NEVER do it today. By the way the US military didn't just discrimnate these guys, anywhere where they had near full controll they'd give the oftern better allyed pilots the shit work, in the Pacific the RAAF went on strike and the RNZAF who flew like these guys were left back on "clean-up" work, I think it's due too having black pilots in regular units as much as better flying... no offense.
@TheGroundedAviator So it's realy a good decision to make a movie about those guys :) . I'm not offensed dude ;) but I'm european so I don't know the USA (I just speak a little bit English) . I made some research since my first comment and I found informations. Thanks for your response.
@Thomas761 It's a great decision and I don't care about the race thing, it's just a great story! But yeah the US high command was like this about putting their less skilled guys over better allys. Some Yanks have that "we are so great" thing, they got in this part of the war when it was mostly going their was, well in Europe, giving Patton a great time!
@mtnlogistics I'm asking questions because I'm skeptical, is that bad ? ... By the way I don't care if it's possible or not, the movie looks great. Thanks
@Thomas761 You must be a complete dumbass. You obviously don't know shit about WW2 aircraft, but rather sit on your fat fucking back in the movie thaters watching some action movie which hardly makes sense and have no plot. And this has a fucking plot AND history. If you at least did your research at the very least, one fucking website, you would know it's about the Tuskegee Airmen, a group of African American United States Army Air Force servicemen during WW2. Educate yourself kid.
@ChooseANameNOW You seems to be very offensed. By wath ? are you the fucking defencer of the right of pilot from WW2. It's a lot of culture to know so excuse me to don't know all of your history but still being interested by. Now calm down, take a deep breath. Read my comments before insulting me.
@Thomas761 He was wrong. They're not African American there were JUST AMERICAN PERIOD. Only white people try to call people something they not. How would they like it if Black people called white people Europeon American? They would get mad as hell.
I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same...

@TheGroundedAviator they're a dubstep group, with great songs. in all the comments, it says that one of their songs, Unison, was featured in a Red Tails trailer...can't find it
While I applaud this movie for reminding us of the men that over came so much to fight for their country. Lest us not forget all those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
@No1BadBoy56 Trust me, all the others have not been forgotten. We are reminded of them by mini-series like Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Saving Private Ryan (Film)...etc. It's now the turn of the Tuskegee Airmen to be remembered..
One of the most deadliest aerial battles unfolded in human history- and this film is just a micro incident that lasted well over 3 years-a call to freedom and peace was all america wanted and those men of all coluor SHOULD NEVER BE, LOST TO THE AGES.
I think it's great everyone is arguing over this movie's accuracy regarding planes, when no one has mentioned it's pg-13. You want to complain about accuracy, tell me how a shit load of black dudes in combat use language that makes a PG13 cut.
See, unlike the Civil War, the US war Department weren't sending just black people to die in the front lines. They refused black people to fly and fight in WW2. Black airmen wanted to fight, and sacrifice their lives for their country because they knew true value, courage and what it meant to bring down the hatred of Hitler. They were fighting the system, by putting their lives on the life line :((
@aquarieICharms This is a different movie. The movie with Laurence Fishburne landing near working convicts was "Tuskegee Airmen". This one won't be out until Jan. 2012.
@humvee600 the plane they were talking about and flying were obsolete p40s at the beginning of the movie. they were replaced by the more modern p51s later in the movie
@humvee600 Well, P-40's were notoriously bad at anything over 15,00 ft. These were the planes the 332nd started with...then the P-39's and eventually the Mustangs. The Tuskegee Airmen with Lawerance Fishburn claimed that no bomber was ever lost with the 332nd escorts. That's simply false...they lost 25 bombers. But still, they had fewer losses than most squadrons of the time.
Too all the comments about how this or that was IMPOSSIBLE to do and this and that could NEVER happen in the planes that they flew, wasnt it IMPOSSIBLE to sink the titanic and wasnt there supposed to NEVER be a war after WW1? before you start rambling on with absolutes (never,impossible,always...) you should get your facts straight and read a freaking war history book about pilots and maneuvers and stop railing on this film, its ENTERTAINING not a DOCUMENTARY, they are different.
Love this movie and wish I could see it again right now. So many great scenes. There's one scene when one of the Tuskegee Airmen, played by Laurence Fishburne, landed in a field where convicts were working. He steps out of the plane and one of the convicts said, 'My God, he's colored.' That pilot was Robert Decatur." Decatur also told that to an audience during Martin Luther King Day observance at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. Yep, this is one movie worth watching!! <3 AC
@MrCaesarnapoleon "The state of the 'free world'" is rather good compared to what was going on when these men were young. I agree that out of respect, it should be as accurate as possible. But this story has been held out of common knowledge for way too long. Most people don't even know that there were black pilots in WWII. So for now, i'm just glad it has a bigger budget than a made for tv flick. To the racists that think its being spun, this story would'nt have ever made it out if it wasnt true. Think about it. Nobody wanted to give them credit for anything back then, they didnt even want them to fly.
In every movie planes dive way too low while straffing and then fly through the explosion. I wouldn't want to get that close to a destroyer or an exploding steam train most likley carrying ammunition. I don't think the real pilots wanted to either.
@ginjaninja1988 Look who is resposible for this movie. "LUKE PULL UP!" Skywalker flys through the explosion. "LUKE YOU OKAY? I'm Alright just got a little cooked."
And btw: Most Me262 were shot down during starts and landings when the Luftwaffe had lost air superiority long ago. If I was an allied pilot in ww2 and outnumber my opponents by 10:1 in 1945 I would not bragg about my air victories. But I guess thats not how hollwood works anyway. People see this and start to believe war is nothing but fun and when they enter service they suddenly find out that people die in the most terrible ways one can imagine, friend and foe alike.
@Kamizudude Bullshit this is a propaganda movie. Just how many people know about the Tuskegee airmen today? How many know how significant they were? At the very least this would call attention to the brave men that faced much adversity from friend and foe alike.
@Dogmeat1950 Gah, punctuation, sorry, I should have wrote "Bullshit, this isn't a propaganda movie." for the first part, was replying to quote: Just another propaganda movie. Im so not gonna waste my money on that. written by Kamizudude.
Well, I guess I should read my comment through so that they won't be misunderstood... *sigh*
@Mithrawnuruodo This thing actually happened, watch the documentary called "Dogfights", one of the episodes has the actual pilot who pulled it off explaining it. (luck was involved .. ofc but it happened.)
German airport is unrealist, Train can only be destroy like that with rocket or 20 mm gun, german victory marking are on the tails and a P-40 a no chance against a 109E or there are 109G. Apart that seems to be great :)

@asther113 i dont think so... - because it was firsts of jets - engines in that one ware very week and the me262 wans;t so manuverable like mustang... only one plus was the 100mph faster than other planes.. nothing else - so actually lots of pilots in mustangs shot down this pice of crap call Me262..and this are facts..

@mikeymike1792 yes.... I understand that the "cobra" is possible with modern jets, either by thrust vectoring, or the canards that the Russians used(you guys hear that? an American saying the Russians did it first.). I dont know if you meant to or not, but your agreeing with me. If you yank the stick on a Mustang like that, a wings gonna drop and your gonna spin. Video rental MAYBE....
@vetitoe362 I was agreeing with you. I just thought I'd add that before some other knob did. There are so many cool maneuvers possible with WW2 fighters. Why did they have to use an impossible one?
"We-will-not-go-aw-ay." God, I'm sure that guy was a much better actor in Iron Man. But then again, he was working with a proper director then rather than with that amateur, George Lucas.
Hey look, another black story that has been twisted to the point that it seems like they did something good. Well, can't say I do not expect this sort of thing.
if there was a little more truth in the dogfights i'd be fully satisified with the movie....

@vetitoe362 I was agreeing with you. I just thought I'd add that before some other knob did. There are so many cool maneuvers possible with WW2 fighters. Why did they have to use an impossible one?
mikeymike1792 6 months ago 4
@mikeymike1792 That maneuver is not impossible, many ww2 pilots have done that

"We-will-not-go-aw-ay." God, I'm sure that guy was a much better actor in Iron Man. But then again, he was working with a proper director then rather than with that amateur, George Lucas.

Hey look, another black story that has been twisted to the point that it seems like they did something good. Well, can't say I do not expect this sort of thing.

Another movie about the Tuskegee Airmen. If you fly, it's about the story, those boy'swere bad ass! The sad part is , they had to prove it ten fold.

Looks cool save for the CGI. Looks horribly fake. But eh, I'll get over it to enjoy the movie...
