  • Claims? claims Victory? What is it ?you Bastard British Manipulators? Hate the idea that he won with over 1.250.000 extra votes because the People of Venezuela and LatinAmerica adored him? Hit it and f*** yourself! Hate the idea that he has turned into the New Che Guevaran and will lead the communist revolution that will wipe your bastard corrupt capitalist set up where you have 8 million people living on benefits? Hit it!

  • you are just another fucking loser

  • Congratulations Hugo!!

    Finish the Bolivarian Revolution!!

  • RIP Venezuela.

  • The thing is that he re-introduced an ideology and practice it which already has proven more than a lot in the last 100 years it just dont work. An ideologie that is doomed to put only a few man in power who has all strings in there hand and dont give ambitions nore chanses anymore to the people.

  • but no, he obtained to polarise the situation and set up social groups against eachother. its sad and a lost chanse...i agree he did learn to read a lot of people who might never learned to read otherwise but its sad than if you see the quality of what the people learn.

the goal of his higher education policymaking consists the rapid changes that are transforming this society in ideological terms. Ideologization is now the key element of the system.

  • People this days need to start to fight, robe and steel for a few bolivares who has btw the next day less value than the day before! Instead of giving poor people a carrot so they stay quiet. he could put up an high quality educationsystem that pays itself back in les than 10 years wit a lot of cooperations with highevoluated economic countrys, bringing knowhow to venezuela. Give poor people the chance also to learn the same things what made middleclass succesfull.

  • You said it yourself in your letter mrshutter77: venezuela should produce much more by itself because it needs to import more and more. and indeed the statistieks are proving it. THAT is a direct effect of chavez his policy against people who have the ambition to start an own bussines or already had one. criminality is rising... why? just because people are getting without a job or dont get the stimuli anymore to start something. the climate for that is totaly destroyed.

  • With all I've said, I'm still not agreeing with the radical oposition in the country: there's a lot of bullshit from that side as well, and I'm tired of everything. The so called leaders of our country are just building more and more tension and resentment, and it can only end badly. We're creating a generation of hate, and people are growing acostumed to live in a world were there are two sides that hate each other, and you have to pick one.

  • Also: you honestly believe we're better at personal freedoms compared to how we were a decade ago?

Just look at how our goverment has dealt with almost every group that has come to study our country and concluded that human rights are getting breached: we've kicked at least two. One of them the freaking Human Rights Watch, and it was basically a kidnapping of the representatives, they didn't even let them contact their embassies.

  • And althougt I agree with a couple of your points, namely the fact that the majority of the people do seem to support Chavez, I don't see this as a good sign: Chavez uses populism, false promises and the sense of insecurity and social tension to get people to follow him. A president that propices hate amongst the classes, racism (against jews), and xenophobia, is not a good president. Not to mention the fact that indefinite reelection goes agsint democracy's principles.

  • Thanks for the good wishes sven, lucky for me I'm gettin Spanish citizenship in a few months (if everything goes right) so there's no problem in me moving to Spain :p

Of course there was crime before the current goverment, we didn't live in an utopia, but claiming that the current goverment does not propice violence and crime is completely false. The president himself has said that's ok to rob other people when you have the need to feed your family.

  • anarcorata, my girlfriend also just moved out of venezuela because of the same reasons you are giving right now. I do hope you can get away soon and find succes in spain. But you gonna have to hurry up because european countrys like france and portugal wants to stop the imigration of venezuelans by stronger rules, I also heard out of chavez his own mouth this week on cadena that he wants to propose again the law that it will not be alowed anymore to have own properties by the end of the year.

  • Also, that comment about Chavez admiting mistakes is complete bullshit. It's always someone else's fault, be it THE EMPIRE, the CIA, or the opposition, it's never Chavez's or his subordinates fault

This referendum was unconstitutional. We already voted against it and a few other new laws just a year ago, and our constitution forbids re-submiting laws to vote in that short period of time. Chavez will keep calling elections until everything he wants is passed. Next: private property goes away.

  • (Follow up)--I wish the crime woudl get tackled the same way Drugs busts & SENIAT have been inforcing tax laws. The refurrendum was constitutional, & was a difent refurendum than 2 years ago. This time it was submitted by the national assembly, not the president with 4.5million signitaures to bak it up. The refuremdum 2 years ago had 69 articles for change. I voted no on that one too! This is for all public elected officals.--not just him! Private property isnot going away! Stop exagerrating!

  • (follow follow up)

These last years have been a constant violation of many rights that are the basics of democracy. Lots of 18 year olds weren't allowed to vote because the inscriptions to the voting regist weren't open. We can't use our money as we want to. Public workers get paycuts that go directly to president Chavez's electoral campaign. Counter-unions that specifically support the goverment were founded by it when the worker's union tried to oppose him...

    Venezuela is in complete crisis.

  • OK stop spreading false information, this is not true....at all..you just have a hard time admitting that people who support chavez are the majority! & these security checks that exist in airport & bus stations..what esle an you expect in the US 7 Europe constantly acuse venezuela of being a #1 hub of drug transport & via these measures venezuela recovers more drugs & bust more dealers than anywhere in the world.--Like you I wish that the same attitude about crime exited as it does with Drugs!

  • (follow up) that kinds of tell you the way we all live in. Some people think that Chavez is great, some people think quite the opposite. Whatever your think about him, doesn't change the fact that our country is fucked up and desperately needs a change. Security, both personal and economic, personal freedoms, these are things we can't take for granted. I'm trying to move to Spain and I can't even move my money out of the country because the goverment won't allow me to do it!

  • Soemthing have imporoved while other things still remain a problem. Burracary, Crime, Curroption are stuff that existed before won't get solved overnight--unless Sharia get applied---, many of the short coming in the last 10 years I think have more to with this care-free culture we have about have this ambevolemtn attitute about gettingthings done. I still think we arebetter off today then in 1998 or before.& personal freedoms go were a free country & these security checks exist in the US too!

  • I'm from Venezuela as well. The facts posted by svenvdw are not only true in a number scale, but in the way we citizens from Caracas live. Just yesterday a guy was mugged at 7 am. I was buying breakfast and saw him enter the establishment with a bullet wound, calling his brother for help... and I wasn't shocked. No one was. It was horrible and we helped him get to a pharmacy nearby and get some first aid while his brother came, but -we weren't impressed by the fact that a guy just got shot-

  • No one is disputing that Crime rate has increased I livein Venezuela too, but to blame the crime situation on Chavez when these problems existed beforehim & many time police curpportion of oppostion municipalities are complicid on this. The recent robbery of the Sinigouge just & act of policemen in oppositon municipalities too! SO to entirely balme chavez on the crime situation is nonesense.

  • But hey mrshutter 77 wil give again a perfect explanation. let me guess... the criminality is also organized by a: the capitalists B: imperialists C: opostion D: colombian government or E: others ( i hope you go for E... i want to here more hallucinations from you) GO NUTS mrshutter77!

  • You an go nutts becuase you actaully decided to say oen thing that is too, I think you ahve been fucking an opposition chick with fake boobs too much!

  • In 1998, when President Hugo Chavez took power, there were 50 registered kidnappings per year. Last year there were 382 registered, though experts believe the majority of abductions go unreported.

Many kidnappings occur along the border with Colombia, once the kidnap capital of the world. Many of those kidnapped in the border area are believed held by Colombian rebels, for whom Mr Chavez has expressed support. But hey again mrshutter77 will give a perfect :

  • This pure Bullshit Baliegian waflle, Venezuela does no support FARC financially & FARC doesn't so any kidnappingin venezuela the paramilitaries do with FARC uniforms so FARC can be almed for it.

  • Venezuela endures 48 murders for every 100,000 people each year. Britain, by contrast, has 2 per 100,000.

In Caracas the official rate is 130 per 100,000, a number which the Investigative Institute of Co-existence and Citizen Security, a think thank dedicated to the study of crime, insists is closer to 166, making Caracas twice as dangerous as Cape Town. It is not just murders that are on the increase, but kidnappings as well.

  • Hahahah--this is next trump card of your crime with exagerrated statistics, it's truethat crime has increased, and that is something has to be imporved. BUt this group is specifically dedicated to making chavez look bad.

  • luckely back then the top of the army refused to shoot at there own people...after that debacle they were fired and even one of them is in military jail. and listen very good if you can follow him live on television for more than 8hours of cadena..believe me you can make a mind of which sick person he is. you dont need RCTV and globovision resumes for that! well look at that mister chavez is just passing by! i wish there was a sniper in the neighborhood. but ofcours that is not the solution

  • BWAHHAAHAA, I wish i could see your face the day they will drag him out of miraflores (well he doesn't even live there but anyway by figure of speech) and hang him. his game will not last to long anymore. but before that he will probably command another 'plan avila' like he did in 2002. Or you gonna deniy that also. watch out with what you are saying because there is a lot of recorded material of that day where he ordered the army to kill all protesters who came to close at mira flores.

  • Oh please I was inCaracs during that Ordeal & Any iformed person knows that Oppostion Snipers where firing on pro-chavez protesters--& they were trying to get past thebuldingin safety & testingtheir arms. Private channels used an edited version of thoseimages to make it look likehe oredered thearmy to kill oppostion protestors.Nonsense, It was the City Policeuner the Oposition Mayors ordes that was shototing & killing Protesters who watned thier elected presendent back aftr the coup!

  • If these addresses are not anymore on cadena (they were in the first shows) they still make a significant portion of the nightly news and talk shows.

Next time you hear Chavez complaining that he does not get a fair hearing from the media in Venezuela, think twice before feeling sorry for him. He gets plenty of coverage to transmit his unedited speeches through ALL networks. again this man is not healthy for venezuela!!

  • Please stop spreading lies Mr. Beligian Waffle, he doesn't gt any fair covrage time on the private channels, espcailly the ones hell bent on overthrowing him Globovision & RCTV, his speaches get edited & twisted & lies spread about manything he does, so if thier are funcitonaries, state visits or some sgments of the speech he will transmit it on the other channels so the audience will get to hear the other side of the story too! As long has we feel he is healthy for us we will vote for him!

  • Of course this forced coverage is in addition to the normal news reported by the networks. More damningly, there is a weekly TV address on state TV, 147 emissions so far at an average of 3 to 4 hours, at taxpayer expense, without any question session for the press and media. That is, no accounting! Chavez perorates all what he wants, says any inanity or accusation he seems fit to say and no journalist is allowed to ask him for evidence or explanations.

  • Everythign your saying here is Bullshit, for your information I watch Telven's news more than I do VTV. HIs weekly program alo president doesnt get forced on other channnels & emmision so stop lying. Only segments of some of his speeches which he knows the facists channels will start lies about, this is the only way he can get his message accross about the lies of the private networks.State channel provide ample of FEED to private channels plus advetising money.Jounalist always ask him question

  • To give further dimension to this abuse one must realize that the cadenas are broadcast by the state TV (VTV) and 4, FOUR, national networks plus all radio stations. In other words Chavez gets a 5 times multiplying factor. And the local networks are not included.

  • Chavez doesn't gt any fari share of coverage time on the private channels, the private channels especially RCTV & Globovision always give room to coup backers & faicsts & criminals. He gets allot of coverage on the state channels because it is the only place he can get his message out & counter the wor4ng reports the private trans transmitt. Althought Venevision & Televn have become more balanced & responsibel in thier reporting--but this a decision they make. For you info I watch Telev news more

  • Chavez ,and on occasion a minister, talks for an average of 3 hours a week on enforced broadcasting. In 2008 the pace has reached 4.5 hours a week!. These 4.5 hours are actually 2.5 hours on PRIME TIME! And the Prime Time portion in 2008 is 2 hours weekly so far. Without, of course, any compensation to the private networks and radio stations for lost advertisement revenue.

  • Chavez does not force his show Alo president on other channels, the only time the ministry of communication braocasts short sgments of his speech or state viist is becuase they know the private network will not cover it & start false rumors about what he says. He at least wants to make those those jack asses like who what wach & belive every crap of Globovision at least what he says actaully. PLus State channel alwasy provide FREE feed to these private channels & pay them fort Ads, Your nonesens

  • Venezolanos pendejos!! They will get what they deserve!

  • Chavez is my favorite anti-facist facist in the whole world!

  • i know a very famous someone in history who was also a national socialist, also abused the democratic system to make it in a dictatorial regime, also was very theatral, also blamed a surten group of people that they were the problems of everything, also made a cult around his own person, also let inflation go up like hell, also shuted up the oposition... his name was HITLER

  • Except Hitler never won that first elction with a Majority VOTE & only held that elction, Chavez was elected in 1998 & during these 10 years 15 elections have been held, he has won 14 of them & lost 1 all of them certified by International observers as free, fair, transparent, somehting no US politician can lay claim to, by the way, Inflation maybe 30% right now, at least he is not lying about it, unlike the US gov't, but Inflation during Perez & Calderas terms was 150%-200% everyear. SNAP!

  • god bles hugo chaves chavez forever,,,,,,,,,

  • The "revolution" should NOT have to depend on one man. Why does it have to be only Chavez? He has held power far too long. His personality cult must be smashed.

  • you ignorants!!!!! vote=democracy no dictatorship!! You should go to venezuela and learn this in the bolivarian missions free of charge!! how can the people say cheat?? When the venezuelan opposition win the elections the CNE is great! BUT when they lose is CHEAT??? Damn it its really good theory! ignorants :P

  • realy mrshutter77, i come often in venezuela and i do see how things are going down. chavez and bush are one of a kind in there own extreme way but at least bush respected the laws of his country and went away when his period ended. chavez socialistic revolution is in fact a big hoax that can only survive as long he receives petrodollars from yes those "imperialists". instead of investing the money in longtermvisionprojects he just wasted money.

  • i agree, Venz just voted for dictatorship....a risky move. 6 years terms are already too much for a reelection....and now unlimited reelection is ridiculous.....now he can easily (cheat) every election...lol..and stay in power like Castro forever. Hope those social programs are worthy.

  • criminality is going skyhigh! the president can only do one referendum to reform the constitution. chavez said in the 1st referendum of 10dec 2007 it was a 'victoria de mierda' and just before this referendum he said he would try it again and again while this is totaly AGAINST the venezuelan constitution! the second time it was already in the pocket and immediately he said that the oposition needs to respect the 'democracy'...

  • mrshutter77, criminalitynumbers are going skyhigh. and about those elections, at least 4 of the last elections where in fraud. Did you know that even the one he lost in december 2007 was fals? the oposition didn't won with 51% but with 59%(!). chavez declared to the top of the army that he only wanted to admit it if he could say he lost with the smallest difference. Maybe you know or you dont know but the referendum of 15february was against the constitution.

  • mrshutter77, total electricityblackouts in sometimes 80% of venezuela while he was warned in reports of 2002, 2003 that the suplie of energie wouldnt be sufficient enough anymore, basicproducts that you can not find on a lot of moments, shutting down all communicationtools for the opposition (rctv, globovision), 95% of all food needs to be imported! venezuela can not stand in anymore to feed its own people!,

  • mrshutter77, if you are declaring right here and now that chavez is running this country good and democratic while you are living in it, then you must be more blind than what stevie wonder ever can be: inflation 30%, economie who is totally depending on oil because of shorttermvision policy, 'bolivarian revolution' that needs to be sponsored of petrodollars who comes from that same 'imperialists' which chavez likes to insult so much, ...

  • Venezuela had better hire some Wall Street finacial experts to manage its money before its economy goes down the toilet. Where are those trusty US advisors when they're needed?

  • Ah is this a JOke?

  • yeah, i know one with the requested experience, he's called madoff

  • I remember during the Clinton administration, the Libs were all for his Social Policies; then when the Social Policies came about, the Libs said: "Hay wait a minut, those Social Policies aren't suposed to pertain to me!!!", I can't wait for these present day Ingrates to have President "Berry" Bull-Crock Oboma's Social Policies come about.

  • Then Hugo's Ingrates will feel his Policies

  • Venezuela needs a nuke to deter America from doing another 9/11 on America to use an excuse to invade Venezuela.9/11 was an inside job to use as an excuse to invade Afghanistan,Iraq and other countries.Watch "loose change final cut"for a lot of details.Other good movies are "Terror Storm",and "freedom to fascism".

  • I would recommend for people to learn spanish or watch videos with translations on them because this man is extremely entertaining, funny, with a compelling vision. This is a man who 11/2 - 2 years ago was talking about countries like Venezuela and Argentina preparing for the collapse of the U.S. economy. He spoke about the multi-polar world. 2 years ago he was describing how our empire would crumble: We're less than 5% of the world's pop. but we consume nearly 25% of the oil.

  • well done hugo

  • Endtime is coming...

  • Watch the END OF AMERICA:

    snagfilmsDOTTCOMM

    /films/title/the_end_of_america/

then get ready to work for the liberation of all people and if you're a US Citizen for the reclamation of our Constitution!

Our responsibility as citizens is to uphold our Constitution, even if it means the overthrow of our government. Our current government is based on Corporate welfware, instead of investing in our people, esp. the youth.

  • I'm not worry about end of America. All I care about Gods Kingdom that where I want to go!

  • But friend, what responsibilities do we have for the millions who are suffering because of our foreign policies and the greed of multinational corporations? Would Jesus sit by and do nothing? I'm a Christian too and I'm convinced that we have a responsibility, not only as Christians, but as American citizens, to be involved in the morality of our government. Not to "Christianize" it, but to hold it accountable. If you allowed a war criminal to get away, wouldn't your conscience bother you?

  • The government wouldn't make the world a better place to safe. People got lots of hope for a better world without God's help. Yes, I want to help people to stay away government, I believe that government wants to destroy all Christian...

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

The bible said "earth are passed away; and the sea is no more." then why should I wasted time to saved the earth?

  • Because the earth is our stewardship. And so are the people. "As you have done to the least of these my brethren, you have done unto Me." Do you really think we should neglect the millions who are dying because of our government's corruption and neglect? Render unto Ceasar. Did you vote?

Well, I hope you enter into a care for others' in a practical way. The pharisees said go and be blessed to the poor and cold and didn't clothe them. Not that you're a pharisee. Just an argument for caring.

  • Notice how all of the people attacking Chavez keep their mouths shut about the right-wing murderer Alvaro Uribe trying to do the same sort of reform in Colombia. Bunch of hypocrites.

  • Thank you & guess what he succeeded dooing this through a senatoria\l vote, not a popular vote bnut a senatorial vote which he bribed politicain to vote for hisw reform & everyone on this board shutting thier ass up on Uribe.

  • well if this is what they want...

  • This Satanic pervert, Chavez is going to suck the blood out of Venezuela! You already have %30 inflation! Within a couple years, it will be Argentina part deux!

  • Actually, Venezuela has had 30% inflation since Chavez first took office. And isn't the whole Left movement in Latin America actually a result of resistance to the policies which crashed Argentina? I invite people to do some serious reading.

  • And a result of multinationals and esp. the U.S. demanding more profit from oil?

Didn't the U.S. support the regime in Argentina? And supply a paramilitary to take out opposition?

  • Yes you are correct, the US also supported death squads in Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala etc.

  • Chavez and Castro are as repugnant as Pinochet and Stroessner. No difference, all authoritarians.

  • You're a follower of Jim Gilchrist and the KKK and you're calling Chavez a pervert? Jeez, who's a saint to you? Goebbels?

  • What's with all the hate over Chavez winning? Isn't this is the same system they have in the UK? The fascists, racists and capitalists are just shaking in their shoes!

  • i fucked hugo chavez in his ass

  • You were drunk again last night, that was your mother.

  • nope hugo bitch ass faggot chavez was....he loved me raping him in his dirty rown ass! He loves the black mamba! Hugo chavez loves huge big dicks!!!! he loves the black dicks in his ass the best!!!

  • Ohh - you big gay Nazi.

    Hahaha - loser

  • President Hugo Chavez was/is one of the few persons willing to stand up and fight against the nazi U.S imperialism control of South America....I'm supporting him 100%.

  • Sad, very sad... i feel sorry for the people in venezuela. bye bye future, hello comandant chavez. Hitler couldn't do it better. Next step is president for live ;-)

  • oh yeah and i`m American by the way.

  • Good for chavez..People who are criticize him are new world order cheerleaders in the media and stupid brainwashed know it all Americans who are zombiefied by the NWO controlled media and people around the world who buy into new world order owned media propaganda.

  • what can you say?

it's a sad day for south americans. hopefully the trend doesn't continue in other nations.

it always seems like there is at least a couple south american nations' leaders seeking a permanent grip on power for personal purposes, and chavez is no different.

  • Congratulations to Hugo Chavez and the Venezuelan people.

From an anti-imperialist in the United States.

  • Chavez still needs to get rid off all the false flag chavistas in his government.

  • See, you don't need be an Austrian corporal to be a Fuhrer. This is how democracy die: if people put all their hope in one man and an ideology above minority rights and long term concerns, then the power of popularity will corrupt even saints and angels.

  • Viva Chavez!

  • Viva Hugo! Viva la revolution!

  • Comment removed

  • Ledt's look at the numbers. Turn-out was 66%(up from the 62% in November regional elections). Chavez got 54% of the vote (compred to 52% in NOvember elections) & the oppposition got 46% of the vote (compred to 43% in NOvmebr). In novmebr 5% voted for PCV & PPT. So this tells me while PSUV people voted YES & Opposition parties voted NO, half the PCV & PPT voted YES on this & the pother half NO!

  • "Cliam"--Listen whom ever you are who is the editor in Chief of Latin MAerica Chavez WON has down--he did't need to claim any vitory he WON! --Why is it that you guy never make an issue about a Narco-trafficer Uribe in Colombia who scapped colombia term limits without popular votes? Why even if he wins popular election you still like to discredit his achivement & priase Uribe has the liberator of hostoages?

  • for everyone, who is interested in venzuela.... or wanna know something about hugo chavez, i only can say, pls watch the movie " war on democracy ", its a documentary about venezuela and hugo chavez by john pilger... you can easily find it on the internet,

chavez has done a great job so for !!!,

    respect, to that man

  • I want ot second that with another Documentary called "The Relovution will not be Televised".

  • thank you, i am really interested in it, will watch it the next days, thanks :)

  • No matter how great a man is, absolute power corrupts even the most resolute visionary.

  • Alvaro Uribe repealed colombias presidential term limits by a senatorial vote that is not being investigated fr bribery & intimidation abck in 2005..I don't see you making any fuss bauot that.

  • Why not? I hate anyone that destroy democracy. No matter how good the intentions of anyone try to seize more power, the ending is always tragic. Always.

  • HOw is h destroying democracy? He put this intiative on the Ballot & he won, term limits have been removed. HELLO! He still subject to the recall petitions & votes, he stil has to run for re-election he still has to run in the primary elections of his own party. For all we know if things go bad, come 1212 his own party the PSUV might give him the boot just like how the African National congress gave Nelson Madela the boot. This is democracy.

  • But you and I both know how he runs his nation. His policy of oil --> cash --> subsidies simply can't last forever. He is not honoring the private ownership rights, the freedom of expression, and minority rights. Once his pile of cash run out, you will see his true color. I hope I am wrong about him, but good man always does the worst to his country.

  • The social programs in many countreis have lasted & if things ar manged fine it will continue to last in venezuela too. Ownership rights---anyone who has been to venezuela knows that if the gov't expropiates any idle land it alwasy does at fair market prices.People's homes are never confiscated. Freedom of Expression?--if you come here & spend two days watching all the gabade that is one private TV that they say baout him you will eat these wordsw of your up! I know becuse I live here!

  • Funny, what about the oil companies and mining companies that got kicked out? What about those who oppose his views and his governments got harrassments? How can you explain violence during demonstration? school protests? If the oil money dried up, how will his social programs continue? What is his intention of expanding his terms forever? I think time will tell whether he is a loser or he is a real big loser.

  • Which Oil companey's? Exxon Mobile--a criminal companey--pulled out of Vnezuela becuase they did not want to be Joint parnters with PDVSA. THose that decided to accept Venezuela condition stayed. Mining companis are cuaght up in the never endgin breau of venezue becuae mining is not as developed as Oil, All the Violence demotstation ahve been carreid out by oppoistion groups, these protest woul not be tolerated in Hong Kong or the US, People a right to eleced a learder they liek forver.

  • In the business world, joint partnership needs willful partners, not a force marriage. It is stupid to consider that any private companies should change their contract agreements in the middle of the terms and give the government something for free as proper or at international standards.

Who fights who? You can say whatever you want but most of the actions were carried out by polices and the government supporters.

  • I'm here in venezuela, where are you?in Hong Kong--Yes there are those hwo hate him who live here that will tell the most outlandish lies to dupe people like you. Miniroty rights?--Look INdegenous population & balcks have had more gain during this governmetn than in anyother time in history. Watch War on Democracy Watch Revelotuion will not be telvised & you will eat these word of your up.

  • You don't need duping to look at a man totally committed to socialism with little regards to international trade agreement, proper government statemanship, and private ownership. He won't lead your country out of poverty; Indonesia, India, Argentina, Niagara, Egypt, Russia, and Czech had all tried these "socialism" before, they all failed, spectacularly.

  • THe funnny thing is her eis man who has choosen the popular Rute to lift term limits, many democracies int eh world do not have term limits, Alvaro Uribe of Colombia a murdere & Narco-traficer removed term limits though a bribed & intimited Senate vote & you are silent baout him & you say nothing because you ahve been condition by TV not think he is dictator but UR conditioned to think chavez is a dictator even though he has WON 14 election all of them certified by outside obsrver as free & fair

  • Many countries don't have term limits, but most of them are not democratic nations. For most democratic nations without term limits, there are limits on the adminstrative power and separate legislative system. In Venezuela, his popularity, his little regard to minority rights and the international market rules make unlimited terms to become dangerous.

  • Again, International Market Rules??--whose alledged international Market rules?--please think before you comment. Actaully the majority of democratic systems in the world have parlemantry systems therefore there are no term limits..please get your facts straight. Again Miroty rights? have you even bother to do anyr esearch to see how Afro-venezuelkans & indegenous venezulea\ns fair under chavez as opposed to your favorite venezuelan gov'ts of the past? Get you facts staight first

  • Where we start: anti-free market policies, confiscation of private asset, protectionism, illegal subsidies, and inefficient social programs? meeting international standards? India, Japan, the UK, the US, and most European nations are either having term limits, or no records of a single individual serve more than three terms. I am not favoring the Venz. government of the past, but I will not trust Chavez either. "do you trust him to step down peacefully if he loses the election?"

  • Look Free-market policies of Washington have only produced more poverty & misery in the world. Protectionaism, subsidies & social programs are what are in the interest of the venezulan people,--International standrads sare set only by the USa because it's a uni-polar world, Chavez is fighting for a multi-polar world. Many European nations ahve no term limits.-get your facts straight!YES I DO TRUST CHAVEZ THAT HE STEP DOWN IF HE LOSES AN ELECTION!

  • India, Russia, Indonesia, China, Vietnam, Eastern bloc, had all tried their own version of social protectionism. In the end, they all failed. Venezuela is just repeating the same miskes as Indonesian government 30 years ago. Can you name one long serving (+15 year) leader of the world that can bring prosperity to his "people" without abusing his power and causing economic chaos? Sorry, I can't trust him, I have seen too many losers who believed too much in themselves.

  • No none of them failed....they failed for trying the capitlistic model. Plenty, Rosevelt, Omar Torrijos, Treudue, Degullie, Eric Williams, many other people around the world who had taken the democratic route to become elected stayed elected for more than a decade or even 15+ years, the situation in venezuela is different, educate youself about venezuela before making judgements. As far as you think I am dreaming baout Chvez I live here, I know what he is baout, you don't

  • I got a question for you hypocritcal ass! You don't seem to care that US has a Two-party systsem funded by the same fat cats, you don't care that Uribe in Colombia who scapped term limits via a bribery senate vote if he stays in power forever becuase according to you he is playing by internation rules of the _fremakert & private property. Educate yourself about venezula fiurst because comments jack ass! PLease Shut up becuase I have no patience for idiots who still think the earth is flat!Your 1

  • No, I don't favor any S. American dictators. Anyone who try to extend their reign to seek "utopia" failed and will fail because all of them end up destroying the economy and making everyone even poorer. You can dream all you want regarding Chavez, but Indonesian history showed that without oil money, overly socialist policies couldn't last forever. The budget numbers just don't add up.

  • Venezuelan Hisotry is not Indonesian History dummie...& the earth is round not flat..go educate yourself about Venezuela & what is really going before making any judgements. Your too stupid to talk about this subject

  • You are just afraid. You know perfectly that Chavez is expanding his presidential power. You also know that the recent oil price dip is causing economic hardship in Venezuela. And finally, you should find out what happen to all socialist nations and all "prophets" who think absolute power is needed to turn the "evil" capitalism around.

  • Actaully Dummie your theonw ho is affriad, you the one who doesn't wantto admit that he is a democrat that has been democratically elected several times & is promoting participatory democracy at home. You need to take hard good look at your faovrite economic system Capitalism before making anymore judgement. You yourself living in hong ong are also living in a socilist country.Venezuela is not comepltely socialist, Capitalims has never had a better day here.

  • I try to explain to you as someone who lives here but you are like a whining robot...who belives whatever garbage you hear on commercial TV....One of the biggest reasons why world poverty has been reduced is becuase of socialist countries like China, Vietnam, Venezuela Bolivia Implementing socialist policies. Take these countries away & you will see poverty increasing Even Al-Jazeera admitted this. So please Honky Kongy boy inform youself baout Venezuela & who this man is before pre-judging.

  • what a bulshit, realy if i wouldn't know better you were send by the chavista government! Its a long time i heard somebody said thing that are so based on triple times nothing! oh and another thing. People there is no sense in this marginal person. I realy hope that when venezuela is going totally down you have the guts to admit that this kind of government only are doomed to fail.

  • So now we have a Beligian waffle gabbering his mouth out, Nothign you say makes sense. Venezuela will not o down the toilet, & Chavez is not a dictator. He is subject to the people, here in Venezuela we are informed people & punish lousy incompetnet leaders. If he voted for him it's because he has been doing a good job, we have voted many of his party elite member off the PSUV leadership in the primary elections. He keep good will vote for him, if not we will recall him, DDDAAAHHH!!!!!!

  • It actually doesnt matter he is doing it for his own gain or for his supporters. Now he is getting unlimited term, now he is getting popularity, now he is believing that he is right and he will be right all the time. His absolute power will make him failing to see his socialist reforms cannot last forever. He is bending the international trade rules and economic doctrines, and borrowing from previously successful private oil industry. That cannot last forever. Wait for 6 months and you will see.

  • actually he can run for re-election, he does not have an 'unlimited term'- the United States didnt have term limits until after FDR, you can attack Chavez on his policy or character but the elections and referendums hes won have been openly declared honest by reputable organizations like the UN and others, people need to face the fact that the pueblo sees a hero in Chavez and support him like no one in Venezuelas long history of right wing dictators and abuse-what did you expect

  • Gracias compadre....!

  • All I can say is growe up! I live here & I know what goes on here better than you all the way in Honky Donky, Thoseinternational trade rule & economic doctorines are nothing but rules for the richest & the Jews of the wrold to protect themselves & rule over others.Chavez is subject to our recall petitions, our votes, & he can't move forawrd with this social revolution without OUr-we the poples-check in place. If he does bad,we vote him out!We don't need to wait 4 the next election cycle either

  • I notice youhave absolutelk nothign to say about Uribe I guess ebcause he likes that Elitst Jewish oriented International trade rules & economic doctirnes that you talk about so he is OK. You too stupiud & too dumb to be comenting on this stuff. Go find abetter topic to talk about chop sui honky donky!

  • Resorting to barbaric talks can't eliminate the fact that many people lost their asset because of Chavez's actions. You cannot deny that Chavez is step-by-step building up his absolute presidential power. By comparing him to another dictator, that can't get you anywhere to explain how his economic policy model can work for long terms.

  • Oh shut you! Your just jack ass who doesn'tknow whathe is talking baout & is comepltely mis infomredabout Venezuela. Everythign is rubbish what your saying. The rich with the exchange controls never had a better day in thier life. You don't know what is really going on I suggest you read Bart Jnes is book & I don't give damnif I use profaniuty on you your too stupid to talk about these topics.

  • Do not forget , that you own a PC and Internet at home because a very capitalist mind make that possible, by the way he got very Rich, and you should thank him. An that is an example. We must thank the rich for the jobs they create, their visions, we should imitate them (Create more Rich). About Castro or Chavez. Go to Cuba or Venezuela and tell me since them, what is new, I tell you what is New. Nothing in regards to progress. The rich is less rich and the poor is happy about that WOW!!!

  • You talking a bunch of nonses, I don't own a PC & Internet at home becuase there are plenty of INrocenter in the country & internet cafes we can use. THe rich do not create a whole lot os jobs--the rich are only interestedin making themselvesmroe riuch & that it. Unions are what make jobs secure. I live in Veenzuela & I have seen first hand the changes that have been made thanks to the revolution that the people started back in 1998 when we elected him. Thinkj bhefore you speak again I live here

  • Venezuelans like you deserve a Chavez. Enjoy!!!!

  • I have been enjoying his term as president & i will continue to enjoy his term as president he is better than yu puppet presidnet like Rafael Caldera & Carlos Andres Perez who suppied the US with $4/Barrel Oil & kep all the profits for themsevles basically putting 80% of the country in poverty. At leat poverty has been reduced from 80% to 55% under chavez.

  • accept of your marginal waying of writing, this is one of the only things i agree with you. it would be very hypocriet if we talk about expanding power to say that uribe is a sainth. even he believes in the initiatief of every individu on itself ,he is as wrong as chavez when it is about try to stay in power but at least uribe his country is now in a beter situation than before,,, totaly not what it should be but its in the right direction. that we can not say of venezuela...

  • You just exposed you hypocracy, You like Uribe becuase he is Neo-liberal crackpot like you & you who doesn't know jack shit about colombia think Colombia is in a better direction. Jack ass there are more colombian refugees in this world than Venezuelan, we have colombians coming to venezuela all the time becuase they want to escape the genocide of the Urbie´s paramilitaries Dumb Shit! Uribe is not subject to any popular recall votes or anyting, just rigged elections rubber stmaped by the US.

  • O please, Vietnam had just faced one of its worst economic crisis since Vietnam War. Bolivia is still bitterly divided and majority of the indigenous people are still living in poverty. Venezuela is getting money from oil but that source is running dangerously low. China did actually get richer through opening its market to international investors. Please face the truth, you can't rationalize what Chavez did. He is expanding his power, and his absolute power will haunt you and Venezuela.

  • Why because they are following the Capitalist Corportist model--dah! But they are less effect than other south afsian countries. Bolivia isnot divided the overwhelming majoirty are with Evo Morales.Conditions of Indegenous majority is improving & you can't reverse a 520 year cycle in just 3 years but it is improving. You need to face the truth that while chavez is expanding participatory democracy---tyrants like Urbie who use bribery & curroption to exand thier powers you ahvenothing to say

  • So you are saying there is no corruption and bribery in Venezuela? So you are saying that Bolivia is not divided on profit sharing issues? Venezuela and Bolivia are simply selling national assets, natural resources, for short term social programs. Once the prices drop, like NOW, Chavez will look for cuts and scapegoats, and his absolute power will haunt you.

  • Yes, but the government of previous years wheremuch more curropt than the one rightnow, Bolivia there is no division on profit sharing the oligarchs just want to have everything forthemselves. He doesn't need to look for spacegoats. His actins speak for themselves.

  • Yes, his action speaks for himselves. He won't lift your country out of poverty. In the end, he will demand more and more power to control the economy. In the past, he takes money from the elite, from the foreign oil companies, from landowners. In the future, everyone has to sacrifice for the state. Before you know it, Venezuela will become Cuba, everything controls by the state, everything owns by the state.

  • You have been watching way too much CNN, FOX & BBC & The RIz Khan show who is former CNN man himslef. Taking money from the elite by enforcing th tax laws that have been int he book for decades, taking contorl of our natural recource4s intead of letting foreign transnationls control them, compensating landowners who have ide sand so more land can be reditrubted to compesinos is something any country will to in the interest of her own people. Your too stupid to talk about this subject.

  • You can say all of these easily because those are not your saving, your land, and your money. The real facts check is that: is he expanding his presidential power? Yes. Is the Venezuela government corrupted? Yes, at a certain level. Why anyone want to believe a corrupted government can be more productive in running the energy and agricultural industries? Why anyone want to believe that socialism, which had never work in all trial nations, can help Venezuela move out of poverty?

  • Listen idiot do you have blinder s on as to the fact that capitalism as we know it has collapsed.I am saving, I have my land, I have my house, I have my money & he is not threatng to take anyof it anaway from me. There is gov't curroption but the level was much worst during the period before chavez. How about curroption in Hong Kong, arn't you liiving in a socialist country too?21st socialism is Latin MAerican style of Economic democracy. Many people are already coming out of poverty!

  • I am pretty sure Hong Kong isn't running on socialism nor it's corruption level is anywhere near Venezuela. The biggest problem of your answer is that you can't raise a good example to proof socialism works either. "Economic democracy" is rhetoric. It is just exploiting national resources to make the world country poorer but really really poor people feel a bit richer.

  • You live in Hong Kong Hong Kong is part of China & CHina is a socialist country. So keep you hypocracy to yoruself. Socialism has worked in many places & it is continueing to work. Take Scandanavia, take canada, Take China Take Vietnam take many countries who decided to flow thier own styles. Capitalism onoly works for the very Rich & the Jews of the world like yurself. Rich exploit the natural resources for themselves. Honk Kong is very curropt! At least nationlist nations invest in their peopl

  • you probably watched so much chavez his cadenas, no wonder you are so fucked up. You know there is also a switch of button on the tv... it saves you a lot of hours chavez speeches. the new record on one day i counted was 8h43min. And you dont have to try to go to another channel because they are al occupied by him. You probably are watching it with a bag of popcorn and some cocacola, or no malt, or no water... it would be to decadent or to imperialistic to drink the first two.

  • You the one who is pretty fucked up you need to switch your channel instead of watching hours of CNN, FOX, BBC, NBC & all other crap.Chanl.les are not occupied by him dumb ass, your favorite facist channels swep out racism, pornagraphy & hate & unsubstantiatd accusation about him all the time, not to mention instigating Coups, violence, muirder, destabiliztion --you the wno who is talkign more baout your self wathcing CNN with a bag of popcorn becuase dums asses like you do that!

  • If you got such a big lover affair with Capitalism, I suggest you study Prout economic & look into your own terrirotry more to have insight to economics as opposed to just westeners. Ravi Batra was one economist who predicted the colapse of Western capitalims & socialism back in 1978. His capitalism prediction is only coming true now because US decided to make Japan loan her money so she copuld live on borrowed time delay the collapse for 18 years. We have a movement here & he the elcted leader

  • People believe capitalism and democracy was died back in 1929. In the end, how communist "help" human society to progress? How many Latin Americans fled their countries for the US? You can keep insults and swearing but it can't change the fact that Chavez is grabbing unnecessary power, Venezuela is heading for the same road as Indonesia, and socialism failed more countries and more people than capitalism."Love affair" or "idiocracy" can't hide the raw statistic that were well proven in history.

  • Chvez isd not grabbing power the people are & they protecting themselves from further expliotation by the united States.Capitalims & democracy do not go hand & hand & no one thought it dies back in 1929 so stop making bulswhit up chop suey honky donky.Socialism has helped the lives of humans in manyways, land reform, needs of peopel coming first before profits. Capitalims has failed more countries & kore people than socialism & has produced a whole lot more poverty then every other system

  • Do you know what happen in 1929? Do you know what happen to Russia, Eastern Germany, Ukraine, Indonesia, Vietnam, and North Korea? Do you know how Adolf Hitler got his power?

  • Yes I do, the globaleconomy crashedin 1929,largly due to WWI, I know that Adolf Hitler got to power thank to funding from Prescott Bush, Henry Ford & IBM & his odeology if form the US KKK. Eastern Germany got Ocupied by the Soviet Union, Vietnam was fighitng a war of Independence & defeated boththe french & the US, Indonesia was fighitng Dutch colonialism, Korea got occupied by China & Communist forces duringthe Korean war. Hitler was elected butnot via a Majority VOTE, He was later appointed.

  • You got one messed up history. The market crash in 1929 due to irresponsible loan and stock speculation, just like today. WWI had ended more than a decade ago. Adolf Eastern Germany industries were backward and outdated because of socialism inefficiency. Vietnam's recent crash is caused by the sudden collaspe of government controlling of market pricing due to raw material skyrocketing back in 2007.

  • Indonesia, back in 1990s, was trying to use its raw material, oil and rubber, to pay for social programs and food pricing programs. In end, when the oil ran out and the rubber price collaspe, Indoesian government and social structure were gone. North Korea was never occupied by Communist China after Korean War. North Korea is the text book case of economy confinement and command economy. No wonder you are supporting an illusion. You know nothing in history and economy.

  • But WWI had a mjor influence of how the 1920s got shaped, butdon't forget whathalepd in therecovery & accountability was GOLD standard. Rosevelt apied many socialist projects to geteh US back on track. Eat germany was occupiedby the red army. Thecountries thatare more socialistic will have an easier time going through this new dperession than those that are not. Scandanaviancountries which are 60% socialt & 40% capt will survive this crises better-except for ICeland. Study Prout econmics!

  • I hope you do know that all countrys who are pumping money in the system while there is actually no demand for money will have to pay the price the next coming 15 years and maybe more. I agree the gold standard should come back because brettonwood II is from the beginning on a joke the US sold to the world which will end up in a bigger crash than 1929. each country in the world invested in dollars that can be printed like hell while gold is in fact the only money.

  • Exactly--it was the biggest scam that was commited back in 1971. When the US defaulted on Gold debts to it movedthedollar off the gold standard, now they want to devalue the dollar to finance budget deficits & let it be other peopel problems.Gold is already going throgh a boom again.Look up PROUT economics in search engine & Ravi Bartra--heis very good, if you ahveany other recomendations give me. Sorry aboutthe badmouth on my earliercommentbut I think your girlfreind is justbeing an alarmist

  • and btw, sweden will not bail out SAAB... that would have been an act of socialistic policy to rescue an enterprise that has no future. Al countrys including US who are 'rewarding' banks and other sectors by bailing them out are gonna face the concequences eventually. companies with a good management should be able to buy the 'bad' ones against the current marketprice. in that scenario there would only be a medium recession with a good reviving in the end,

  • You comparing Chavez to Hitler--likemost networks, Chvez got elected via a Popular vote in 1998, 2000, & 2006, he also wona recall vote in 2004, He got back to power n 2002 thank to people power destorying the dictator for a day Pedro carmona. In venezuela we have participatory democracy, now if that ishard foryou to accept I'm sorry. We have voted for him & ifhe keep us the good work we will continueto vote forhim ifnot, we willvotehim out faster than you think. Constitution comesfirst!

  • Sure. You don't need to care about the foreign companies because you are not a foreigner. You don't mind if someone got their land confiscated because those are not your lands. You don't notice that demonstrators and students got beat up by his supporters and polices because those are not related to you. You allow his presidential power to expand without ever thinking how his social programs improve Venezuela overall productivity and international competitiveness.

  • If foreign companey's wantto exploitthe natural recources in our contry they need to play by our rules, it our land, our country our resources, 51-49% must be the deal, it fairbecause companye still make aprofit while the people benefittoo! Demostrators & students who gt beat up & shot the one who support havez & they get beat up by opposition people who caryy guns everywhere to shoot people than create distorted images to fool peopel like you. It not presedential powes its peopel power,

  • Play by your rules didn't mean you can change the rules in the middle of the contract terms. That's the version you want to believe in, but chances are you are just blaming the victims. There is no black and white about political issues, but if he cannot succeed in turning Venezuela in 10 years, maybe he should let someone else do it.
