At school, everyone's fairly accepting, but there are some ignorant kids that follow me from behind and whisper loud enough that I can hear them and say something like, "boy? no, girl! what the fuck is it?" and I turn around and say, "I am a boy, girl, both, or neither, I don't mind any of them".
Another time, a nice lady asked if I was single, I was confused because she's about my mom's age, but then she said that she wanted me to take her daughter out for the prom. Which was sweet, but she called me a handsome boy, so knowing that.. It was a no for the prom.
I was always into the tomboy bid, I have kid pictures and people thought my brother and I were twins. I do get stared down in public restrooms quite often, but I mind my business each time. Once a elderly women was curious on my gender when I was washing my hands and actually bent down staring at my crotch area. That was.. awkward.

I like it when people aren't completely sure of another's gender from the first instance. People assume so many things, and fucking with peoples assumptions regarding gender is kind of fascinating to me. Maybe the more androgynous expression there is in the world, the less narrow-minded people will be.
I went to a dog show (lots of old people) and I was wearing shorts and a polo + I have long hair.. fairly feminine face and my dad's friend who was a lady, came up to me and said, nice to meet ya son...i then walked away and she said to my dad, he's a nice lad. :')

I tell guys to back off cuz i don't swing that way and they don't care lol. They always keep trying which is annoying. :) but ya, i don't think you look like a guy. you look like you.
if anything, for me, people think i lie when i say i'm lesbian, because im not a "dyke" and i don't look like a guy, per say. it's annoying. i just sit there like "the fuck..", with this stupid look on my face when people say i'm not lesbian.

I get mistaken for a 14 year old boy all the time. I just started taking it as a compliment because apparently I look 12 as a girl... Maybe my pants shouldn't be so low or men's pants... If I get called a guy by someone I don't think I'll see again I just let it go. I'm comfortable with myself no matter what gender I look like.
@jellybean2475 I've often heard of people trying to reclaim it, but I don't know how I feel about that. e.g; a guy I know is gay called my girlfriend a dyke once, and I had to ask him to specify whether he meant it as an insult or not (he's a friend and it was the first time he'd met her). Other than that, if I heard a guy call her that particular word, I'd smack him in the face. And as far as girls go, I have some choice words for them as well... Gah.
