Poor dude, poor dude... I can't imagie nor what Richard or his mother are fealing like. THIS bullshit MUST stop! Facebook awaits me and you. We can make a differance!
Richard O'Dwyer was paid up to $200,000 a year from advertisement, so if what he's doing is illegal, surely the investors are essentially funding him? Why aren't they in trouble, they went straight to the defenseless kid. Piracy will never die, same way drugs and prostitution will always be around no matter how hard the governments want otherwise.
4:20 "Richard accepts that he has, he has, you know, been caught committing crime?"
No, Richard hasn't committed a crime, and it really shouldn't be against the law anywhere.
It's exactly the same as saying that the yellow pages are liable for their customers committing crimes on people who read the yellow pages. How is that right?
In the past the US was the recorse people being PERSECUTED by oppressive regimes had to seek asylum...Today we're shifting to Iran, Cuba, Venezuela...Any more ideas?
The US govt is destroying it's tradition of human rights and also itself in the process with so many wars, illegal and immoral wars...
The Yanks want to feed O'Dwyer to the US Prison Industrial Complex, where they'll make money out of jailing him. If he goes to jail in the US, he's NOT coming out.
Good Advice if you downloaded any movie and they can trace you , don't even bother thinking to travel in America they will have your name on a list and you might end up in jail .. this is how now american corporate trying to make their money from jailing people and raiding their wealth anywhere in the world
@VaunNorwood America is becoming more of a police state, but it doesnt work to its benefit as many think. Theres only so much time before people start cracking.
This whole situation sort of reminds me of the exaggerated style South Park or family guy episodes. In fact, why can't the makers of South Park make an episode like this...
Guy downloads one file, police go craz... Oh wait, they already have done, it was as fucked up as this situation.
He would get a fairer trial post gulf war Bagdad than he will in America becouse the American legal system is more bent than than the UK;s and that's bad enough.
Scapegoat. I love his t-shirt outside of the court (from the BBC news) on my Youtube page :O) B-r-i-l-l-i-a-n-t message from Walt Disney (the altruistic giant) to greedy elite and mindless 'Hollywood' groups.
Why don't these Yanks piss off, are they going to allow Italy to extradite Foxy Knoxy back to face a new trial when their CSI's go over the evidence again and prove she is as guilty as the guy currently inside for it!
Problem is Extradition Act 2003 itself; look at section 84 and 86 it says the Judge has to operate trial like a "summary trial" proceeding ( like in traffic court). Which means they'll always find you guilty of the facts.
I think the solution, write to crown or Americans (certified mail and 'matter of pubic record' on top of letter) and ask if they're claiming you were acting as a public servant at the time the complaint was being made. If so produce the payroll records.
How can america be allowed to do this?

I am baffled by this. I mean, if they start prosecuting people for posting links the world wide web is doomed as it exists now

That American Anti-Pirate lied about the losses or revenue and jobs..
smirked as he did so.
How can what he said go unquestioned ?
The show should be ashamed of themselves for enabling that propaganda.

I've said really offensive shit about muslims on here before. What if somebody from Saudi Arabia wants to extradite me to judge me for my crimes?
Give the kid a fine and send him on his way. These TV execs are not helping their image by doing this.
