The title of this video is incorrect. The Hollywood shootout occured after this film was made and when police went to the home of Larry Eugene Phillips, Jr. and Emil Matasareanu they found a video tape of 'Heat' in the VCR.
yeh but i kind of think your tricking ppl with the title of the video - you should make it a video response to the dark knight, not title it (ieven tho you said re:) so im gona vote it down Lol.
but also i find it funny how they walk into the bank, then put their masks on - like whats the point all of security has now seen their faces
Thanks for the cool responses everyone... personally, this scene will remain the coolest and a role model for any bank robbery scenes in any movie.
The cast, the directing, the intense soundtrack, and most of all the real sound of guns makes it ultra unique (which is not shown in this scene). It almost makes the audience believe that it's happening in a real time, and that the robbers appear far more experienced than anything they have seen in a movie before.
great, but why isn't there an alarm button for one of the bankers to hit when something like that happens? That much money and such shopping mall-like security
I believe earlier in the movie, they mention disabling all the security features before the heist, by deactivating the system computer, who is in the parking garage under the bank.
I dont feel this movie gets the recognition it deserves.Anytime I talk to anyone about this movie, they dont think its that special. Its one of the best crime dramas I have ever seen.
no no no. morons! what made the scene good/memerable was the shootout that ensued. also, there's way more that the TDK took from heat than just this scene.
Although TDK's robbery scene was inspired by this scene, I feel nothing special for Heat's version.I think TDK's is an improved version and it's much better.Fast pace and adrenaline rising, not to mention very smart.I like TDK's better.
nah i disagree i think you'll need more than a couple of pistols (TDK) to rob a bank. and also the bank robbing scene is great in the dark knight but i would say this is more intense and adrenaline rising with the music playing and the way all hell breaks lose.
Freaking Legend, The Dark Knight does Resemble Heat in some ways like the bank robbers tactic's and their aggression. Deniro Just goes mental... Tome Sizemore Takes the girl Hostage... Andy Mcnabe supervised the shootout and it was one of the first films to use live bullets onset
You've heard those "most interesting man in the world" ads where that guy gets a wrong number but the person on the other end doesn't want him to hang up? This clip is like that.
There are a ton of videos on YouTube which pretend to have clips from "The Dark Knight", but are really practical jokes. Although this clip isn't from "The Dark Knight", it's so good most people don't mind. That's why it's getting four star ratings.
What I like about the DK robbery sequence is the fast pace and the adrenaline feel. I also liked how the robbers betray each left and right, bank robber one gets shot by bank robber 2, then bank robber 2 gets shot by bank robber 3, bank robber 4 gets shotgun'd by the bank owner, than bank robber 5 gets hit by a bus, the bus driver gets shot by bank robber 6 revealing to be the Joker! Heat is a classic that inspired the bank robbery in GTAIV, Kane and Lynch which was a dissapointment, and DK.
i know that, but thats not the point. If someone wanted to search for the heat bank robbery i dont think they'd be typing in "Dark knight bank robbery"
This is from the movie 'HEAT'.

I liked the way in TDK how Joker played each of his fellow robbers for a fool and ended up getting everything for himself.

As soon as i saw the dark knight one, my first thought was Heat's bank heist scene. Even the music's a little similar.

why did you put "The dark knight" bank robbery, when the movie is "Heat" ?

according to imdb, Christopher Nolan stated that Heat was the inspiration for The Dark Knight. I could see why it saids dark knight bank robbery
