  • @ellycat Hi Ellycat, Yes, agreed "Panic" was denouncing the state of pop. It's also rumored to have been the result of a DJ playing Wham's "I'm Your Man" right after announcing the Chernobyl disaster (if anyone can help clarify, I'd appreciate it). As a point of historical fact, there was a controversy stirred up when a writer named Frank Owen interviewed Morrissey and suggested that Morrissey was a racist thus raising the ire of Johnny Marr.
