its because in nba they do travel a lot.. when they play in fiba refs hand their asses back due to so much travelling.. a lot of famous players travel.. including kobe.. watch videos and you will notice.. oh wait you wont notic because ur an nba freak and dont know what the real game is..
Because it's a stupid idea in the first place. Why split up talent between countries when all the world's best players play in the NBA anyway? Plus, as I watch these games I realize that they look really messy anyway, i'm sure you could replace the US team with the Detroit Pistons and they wouldn't lose a game.
2 reasons...first, with as much as the top players get paid in the US, they can think of a couple of better things to do than play against a bunch of nobodies with an occasional star, and two why risk an injury?

Easy. Because FIBA requires daily steroids testing. This means that a lot of the 'elite' or older players can not take the chance to be discovered.
