I won't hate Tevez like I do Heinze. He knows he's not talented enough to get in the United side so going to a smaller club like City who have big aspirations and have the money to pay his fee upfront with massive wages with guaranteed football makes sense. Also, as a United fan it hurts me to say that Gerrard is miles better than Tevez and Torres is better than Eto'o and they compliment each other more so they would remain the number 1 partnership in the league, unless we get Benzema

dear darren, so if city have signed or shortly will have signed, Tevez and already have Cruz would they really sign a third striker signing in eto'o. it wasnt like they had bad strikers before in Robinho and bellamy, If you keep talking about eto'o well someone is going to have to leave, cant have 5 egos and players in 2 positions. what are your views.

Tevez is already hated by united fans...albeit sheffield utd. tevez and eto'o sounds impressive but torres and gerrard are a proven pair, however they do get injured loads. im looking forward to seeing rooney play a more central role now ronaldo has gone to real. how good is this benzema (i know noting about him) and could he and rooney be another force to be recond with?

Yes Tevez would be the most hated player in our history. I fail to understand how a player loved so much by the fans would reject the chance to continue playing for us to join our local rivals. It just defies belief that he would treat the fans (who campaigned for him to be signed) in this way. Joining City would show us a complete lack of respect. He is scum and he must surely know it.

And Darren, the news has gone cold on a United move for Valencia of Wigan. Since Real are also in for him, what do you think the likelyhood is that Valencia will opt for Madrid?

I actually hope he goes to Madrid, I don't want him at United. However, I'd consider him a 'decent' signing as a squad player.

It's a shame Tevez had to go to City, but I'll clap him when he returns, regardless of the club.

And I don't think it's fair to say Torres and Gerrard are the top strike force in the Premier League, since Gerrard isn't even a striker. He's being played as an attacking midfielder.

I think if United can get Benzema, that'll be the top strike force. Rooney is better than Tevez, and Benzema definately has the potential to be better than Eto'o.
