@proelton cuz its only got so much room for a pipe back there. cuz its rear exuast and front intake, so they have to make as much pipe in such little room as possible to make a good balance of backpressure and flow.
I think metalurgy not to mention CAD design has made manufactures a little more bold with design without sacrificing time spent on useless designs. Like you said though, it has taken a while. Maybe they had this on the drawing board for a long time but have only decided to release it now so they keep making money. A lot of technology out there on bikes isn't that new of a concept, it's just the manufactures only release bits at a time to keep us coming back for more.
Coming up with new ideas isn't easy. Designers will run into so many walls on even just updating a standard engine design that it becomes difficult to even think about innovative changes, let alone get to working out all the issues with them. I've been told that Yamaha tried the tilted engine idea years ago, with terrible results.
how big is the gas tank with the air filter up there? cant be that big really

@proelton the new system is tornado exhaust they swtiched the airbox in the front now and the whole engine is backwords
