  • I thought this was a commercial for pimps...

  • how a commercial should be

  • If I had a time machine......I would go back to 1967

  • true, i will 1 day have this car

  • Was this a car more intended for a woman than a man?

  • If it was so great why did they change it in 68?

  • @mercmarc ...well i see u like the old style body kit..but heres one thing one car sales...if they kept useing the same GTO body style..sales will go down..and rember...1968 was when Pontiac GTO became CAR OF THE YEAR with its new style and performence..besides..ill that whole damn seris XD!!

  • Hmm, in this an eastmancolor film print?

  • my dad has 1

  • the true first muscle car, fuck the pony.

  • such a shame pontiac is going.

    enough said

  • Arno"s the MAN

  • "The Ultimate Driving Machine", it figures that BMW ripped off a cool hook line from back in the day...

  • I recall that actor from "Beneath the planet of thew Apes".

    Astro Joe

  • The great one is...gone. Sad to see. Pontiac RIP.

  • You're excused-- LOL

  • the new GTO dissapointed me so badly. I was acctually happy when in the Herbie fully loded movie he keyd the side of one with his mirror XD

  • It seems that BMW copied the " Ultimate Driving Machine" image from Pontiac. LOL

  • I love the '67 that Ice Cube uses in XXX:State of the Union, sexiest car alive!!!=o) xHEAVENSxFAILUREx

  • What a great car! Every GTO from 1964 to 1970 is a classic and the styling is perfect!

  • dude, 68- 70 had a totally redesigned and different more modern body style

64- 67 were same basic type

  • wtf he never said they were the same, just that they all looked good.

  • Dude, 65 and 66 were as different as 67 and 68. 64 and 65 were similar, 66 and 67 were similar to each other as 68 and 69 were....

  • wooow im naked right now! R

  • Damn, My Dad had one of these... He also had a 69' Roadrunner, and a 70' Chevelle SS. I wish i was him. Haha

  • I have a white 67 with his and her shifters

  • My dad use to have a 65 pontiac gto. I bought a 68 pontiac tempest about 2 months ago. it is in great condition and only has 18,000 miles. i wish i could have bought the car a year ago while i was still in high school.

  • hahaha the hubs have my initials on them!

  • just bought one!

  • I'm so jealous. This is my dream car. I had a 67 Lemans in high school(almost 25 years ago). Getting old sucks!

  • i dream to drive the 67th great one!

  • I love mine. '67 with 400 ci, 4 speed. It ranks 3rd, right under my wife and kids. I told her we will live in this car before I ever sold it. Working on the permits now so I can be buried in it when I die. No shit, it is a blast to drive.

  • I want one of those :( i'm 19 and From Europe ... but damn I'd love to drive a muscle car :D especialy the 67 GTO :D and a JUDGE :X

  • That car is soo sexy!

  • damn and to think that was my dads first car, lucky bastard. and now he wants me to get a cheapy ass car.

  • dude, only thing worse would be if he still had that Goat and he wouldn't let ya drive it!

  • lol thats true

  • And the guy doin' the talkin'--the late actor Paul Richards--helped sell a lot of Pontiacs in the 60s and 70s...he built excitement (at least in the commercials, since the cars sold themselves!)

  • "Glory be to the Bomb, and to the Holy Fallout..."

Mr. Richards played "Mendez", the head priest in the bizzare Mutants' worship of a leftover nuclear missile in 'Beneath the Planet of the Apes'.

  • wow gr8

  • if only the car manufacturers would remember this guys point "theres more to driving than just going from place to place." the only thing that looks promising is the 08 challenger and 09 camaro. i heard on the news a couple nights ago that all new cars by 2020 have to get 35 mpg average, which equals smaller car, smaller engine, lower power, bigger price tag, higher gas prices and muscle car lovers getting mad

  • old school car commercial is the best better than todays... 2day its all about safety and emission and crap like that nothing about pure power

  • WOW--I would like this car

  • Yep, it's the great one, alright. I've had up to fifteen at a time and it's by far the best out of the GTO models. Heck of a lot better than the new ones, they're just hondas with the GTO symbol.

  • hey, i have the 04 gto, and ill run circles around it and also destroy it in the 1/4 mile in reverse, i love the great one but dont call the new one a honda.

  • Wow, you can beat a 40 year old car with a new one!!!

It's just my opinion but the new GTO looks very bland in comparison to this one and really can get mistaken for a Honda or something if you're not looking carefully when you look at it from the side. LOL. They should've stuck with the Trans Am IMO.

  • They're not Hondas, They're Holdens. Holden Monaros! Originally built in Australia. Sadly The Monaro is no longer available on the Australian market.

  • The "new" GTO is no comparison to the 60's-70's era of GTO.

    I agree with BoltActions completely.

  • RIP John Z Delorean. one of the most iconic men of the automobile industry.

  • First, BMW stole the tag line, now they are steeling the look. The new BMW's even look like Pontiac. The slim kidneys morphed to a wide split grill like a Pontiac. The 335i twin turbo engine now has the bottom end torque of a Pontiac. The only thing they will never have is the sole of The Great One! 1967 GTO.

  • BMW's Kidney grills actually pre-date the Pontiac's Twin Gril

  • You definitely don't want to own a '67 GTO, because if you do, it will be stolen.

  • Not with the way I'm going to mod it!

  • thank u man!!! hell yeah! tahts my dream car.omg!

  • I've had several, and the 67 I had was my favorite. 4 speed close ratio and 3.90 gears. That thing came out of the hole like a moth&r fu^%er. A tire smoking gear grabbing BLAST. Long live the GTO, the grandaddy of them all, and the yardstick by which all muscle cars are judged.

  • great post, man.

  • My dream car is a 67 GTO. my dad had one, and he said it was the best car he had ever driven.

  • THAT'S PAUL RICHARDS! LOL

  • My Mom still has the '67 GTO that she bought new from Gianera Pontiac in La Crescenta which is now Foothill Nissan. The '67 GTO is my 2nd fav car.....next to my '66 Olds 442.

  • They sold more 67 GTOs than any other muscle car of any year. Why am I the only one who still has one. You guys with your mustangs and chevelles, dime a dozen man. Respect the GTO

  • Got that right, i never liked mustangs cause their a dime a dozen, but i still love the chevelle.

  • Umm. I think the `66 out sold the `67. The `67 looks better though, and has the 400 instead of the `66`s 389.

  • Under 3 grand new. Drum brakes. The 'Bobcat' kit ($70) installed would void the drivetrain warranty.

  • Not sure about that, I'll have to check. But the "Bobcat" kit was only available from Royal Pontiac (Royal Bobcat) and I believe that dealer honored the warranty. Remember as well that in 1967 you could order front disc brakes with power assist. They made a uge difference in stopping this beast. My 67 had them.

  • -The ad talk the talk, and the car walked the walk!

    -Scary!

  • fuk this car my 454 would smoke anthing ford ,chevy name it!!!!!!

  • ok, im sure you have a 454. whit is this supposed 454 in, or is it an engine on a stand? stupid kids these days..

  • Your 454 alone would "smoke anything"? I wish you luck.

  • I have a 67 GT500 and a 70 Chevelle and no one and I mean no one has beat me yet with the GT500. I have beaten Vipers, cudas, vettes you name i beat it and my cars are all street legal. My cars have been in the family since they were bought in 1967 and 1970. I lost to a Plymouth Hemi Superbird thats it

  • The GTP IS A CLASSIC AND SO IS THE 454. KEEP ONE THING IN MIND YOU ALL HAVE TWO COMMIN ENEMIES: HONDA AND TOYOTA..GO SMOKE THEM!!

  • I think this fucker's been smoking anything.
