  • was that full throttle petal to the medal? cuz the expedition will do it with in 25 seconds i counted... maybe im WAY off and idk...

  • these suvs aren't made for speed anyway.....they are conservative....lol why are you people saying its slow....its not a race car like a mustang or camaro

  • my dads 04 navi revs up to 6500 rpm how come yours doesnt

  • I have a Navigator just like the one in this video. But it's an 05. And I would about 85-90mph by the time I hit 3rd gear. Mine could probably hit a top speed of about 125-130mph (Mine is a 5 speed tranny)

  • @blacksquirrel100 they didnt make them with 5spds

  • Comment removed

  • my 2000 Nav with the 32-valve (A-Code motor) 5.4 motor gets 18.7 cruising expressways and roadtrips. Not bad considering you have all the comforts of home with safety included.

  • @Martin00028Guitar I agree, it is an awesome road trip vehical.. I have gotten up to 21mph on the highway, but usually can get in the high teens, unless I am pulling one of my trailers..

  • @Martin00028Guitar a 2000 Navigator is not safe

  • @20044runner It would take a foreign-car freak to knock a Lincoln...not surprised here. I'll keep our American engineers over theirs. We put the world on wheels, remember?

  • h2 is much heavier yet faster

  • Built for luxury, not speed. Engine sounds great though.

  • theyre not the fastes suvs out there but i wont even think about changing mine for an escalade, u gotta love the gas mileage on this navi's i got an 04 with 26's and still get pretty reasonable mileage

  • Navigators are sweet

  • How much you expense in gasoline

  • The best SUV ever

But why your iNavi is so slow ?

  • sorry 1984svostang

  • good way to spend $10 in gas! lol

  • 10 second 0-60, gotta say the truck is heavy

  • @coolgames14 i agree

  • @coolgames14 Right about 6400lbs..

  • @1984SVOstang u wanna know what is my favorite SUV ^^

  • Don't get me wrong. When it all worked right it was by far the BEST truck EVER! I loved that thing, and it looked Really nice. Just wasn't built to last and thats why its gone. We can thank Ford for that.

  • @monkeymarine291 um your comparing an what mid to high 2,000lb car to an (i have no idea) 7,000lb suv. so no shit.

  • 80-100 was pretty wack unless he didn't push it as much in that gear.

  • @eazenyce The motor has a strong power-band at 4000-plus rpm, when it shifts into 3rd it falls too far below that rpm, so it does not pull very hard until above that..

  • you were faster then the dead.

  • wow 80 to 100 takes awhile

  • @ShaunDiener it's got a long 3rd gear

  • @ShaunDiener I thought the same thing when I watched this video...

  • my dads 2003 licoln navigator is 500 hp+

  • @LILFLORES408 got an dyno sheet proving it?

  • @LILFLORES408 and i drive a lamborghini

  • man american cars are crap the new 2010 range rover will go 0-100-0 in 29 seconds you went from 0-100

    in 34 seconds no offense

  • he started @ 7 seconds into the video so actually it was 26 seconds.

  • like I said no offense to nobody. Even at 26 seconds he only reached 100 mph. The Range Rover went 29 seconds from a dead srop to 100 mpg the a dead stop in 29 seconds. witch is still faster then the lincoln.....Please no negitve commetss just my option. Thanks

  • @benzguylv I hope you know that Ford owned Land Rover from 2000-2008 meaning most of their technology came from the USA. Now an indian company "Tata Motors" owns them. I can't wait to see the company fail. Tata Motors lost $544M USD in 2009. R.I.P.?

  • heh, no offense but you should go look what ford motors has done with the new ones.

  • SLOW!!!!

  • That took quiet the toll on the gas tank LOL

  • you should plop a K&n high flow filer then you will that speedmetor go faster only 4 gears thats bad?

  • Pretty slow

  • @chris000089 you try your over 3 ton truck doing a 0-60 while keeping you in the high teens mileage for cruising and lets see how fast yours is

  • @KingofComputing Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Sequoia

  • How many gears does this have?

  • Just 4 of them!! This motor could really use the 6-speed of the newer Navi's..

  • thats true it will improved fuel economy and accelaration

  • @chris000089 Its a 5 speed. (We had one this time 2 years ago, thats how I know. Not like any one asked, we traded it in for a Toyota Highlander v6, the navi was having WAY too many major problems for only 55,000 miles. We were in the dealership for repairs 12 times within 2 years. (under warranty thankfully) The whole model year is pretty much like that. Not to P!** anyone off but American cars are purposely made to last 100,000-200,000 miles. Save money, time, & frustration & go foreign.

  • the good ole days =)

  • Yeah dude...wow, that spedometor got up there pretty darn fast, but not as fast as that gas gauge dropped. HOLY SHIT! Went from like 1/2 tank to nearly a quarter by the time it was all over.

  • first. afford a Navigator, then talk ur shyt...

  • lol afford a navigator??.. you know you can get a 2003 Navi with some 85k miles for about $8,000.00?.....

  • That's me on my way to work!

  • it is only one 5.4 Ford F-150 engine?

  • NO!! This is the 5.4L 32 valve, DOHC motor only offered in the Lincoln Navigator from 1999 to 2004 rated at 300hp and 355 lb tq.. The F-150's had a 2 valve SOHC from 1997 to 2003-04, and then the 3 valve SOHC from 2004 to present..

  • in a race with that car i would suggest jogging lol

  • how much this engine package price?

    thanks

  • This was the only motor option for the 2003 Navigator..

  • Fuck that took too long.

  • fast for a boat

  • wats ur 0-60 time

the 07 navigator seems much faster

  • I would have to guess 0-60 in about 9 sec.. The '07's up have a 6 speed trans & are a bit quicker do to the trans..

  • the navigators had the six speed in them as early as 05' and those two extra gears makes a huge difference with this engine.

  • Yes the '05's and up have the 6 speed, but also have the 3-valve 5.4.. The 03-04's have the DOHC 4-valve 5.4.. They are two different animals.. I personally don't care for the 3 valve motors..

  • yeah your right. Im not even sure why Lincoln switched from the DOHC to the SOHC engine. My guess is probably fuel efficiency and emissions. Nonetheless, the 5.4 performs well considering the navigator is one of the heaviest full size suv's.

  • thanks for the info,1984

  • for its size navigator is damn fast,i love it i just bougth mine runs great....

Any one knows how fast the suspenssion goes up when you turn it on?

mine takes about 15 seconds, and some times it still sounds like is going up while in the road..is this normal?

  • Mine takes about 15-25 seconds to rise from a fully lowered position. They will adjust when driving dow the road, but usually only for a few seconds at a time. What you are describing sounds fairly normal.

  • ohh dude just put a superchip and a intake nd ull notice a biig diffrence thats what i have in my 04 and its fast

  • Thanks for the info.. Those are on my list of things to do next.. Did you notice any gas mileage improvement with the chip & intake??

    Thanks

  • yess im getting 25mpg on city when i drive normal

also i now have a throttle body and helps both gas mielage and performance

  • bullshit u get 25 mpg in a navigator in the city?

  • yes now have more mods

thats on normal driving when i floor it about 13-15

  • thats insane mileage

  • yes i was impressed 2 and im impressed in performance 2

  • Navigator has very nice interior and exterior, but its old 5.4 triton engine has not enough power for this car. Stock 03 Escalade ESV is much faster. And it has 4 speed transmission too. But i like them both. More than QX56, LX470/570, GL etc. Thanks for video.

  • the qx is crazy fast for how big it is

  • what mods r u putting in

  • As of right now it has the Magnaflow exhaust system. Working on a CAI & possiablly a Superchips programmer.

  • I drove 5 different luxury SVUs before buying this one. The X5 is very quick & nimble, but smaller. The MB GL450 & Lexus LX570 were nice but a bit pricy. The Cadillac that I drove had the 22" wheels & was very stiff over small road bumps. The 22's may have made the ride issues that I didn't like. & no 4wd in the Caddy? No transfer case & no off-road ability. It is still an SUV & should have the ability to go off-road. Big down-fall as I see cause I do get mine muddy on job sites.

  • Great car ! I like it. ;)

  • Thanks, it is very nice to drive..

  • Both of the one's that you list are not luxury SUV's. Not in the same class as the Navi. I can tell you that this truck needs the 6-speed trans of the newer ones. It drops the RPM's way to much between shifts. They used a truck tranny instead if designing something new & hi-tech.

Navi's are all about class & comfort, something even GM couldn't match. Infinity Q56 & the Caddy ride & drive like a truck, while the Navi rides & drives like a car.

  • you should take the limiter off, cause last time i checked, it limits itself at like 120mph, and I know the six speed can kick out more than that

  • If it is limited to 120, that is fine with me.. At least it is not like the Ford p/u's where the limiter was only 96mph.. It has been to 105mph already, and it should get to 125 in third gear.. Guess I'll have to find out some time soon..

  • Ofcorse it's slow, is a flippin 6500 lb 4x4 suv.. Both the envoy & trailblazer are half the SUV that the Navigator is!! Just getting some ideas as to how it is before I start modifying it.. Thanks..
