I found it to be very disorganized.... We wandered the 2nd and 3rd floors before we found out that we had to get our "passes" in the basement.... So much for putting it in the MAIN LOBBY where everyone was entering... And... $55 dollars a person especally when I only wanted to go see the vendors is totally a ripoff..... amateurs........

Well, they sort of overdid it this year. It was my first year and it was sort of disorganized, but that's because it was a brand new building and they only had so much time to set everything up before they had over 5,000 anime nerds flock into it. Next year is supposed to be bad, too. Hopefully things will look up, though. I mean, if you saw, there were several floors and areas blocked off and the main lobby was mostly blocked off, and they were also keeping people off of it.

And it never occured to you to ask someone? And how does it make sense to put it in the main lobby?

1) The registration line can consist of hundreds of people at a time which would block everyone coming in

2) We only had that tiny bit of the main floor because that floor was being used for other events that were going on. To rent out the entire building would be way too much for AE to afford

umm... Ask someone? I shouldn't have to ask someone. Signs, Staff members directing people? And it makes sense to put it where the main entrance is, because thats where the majority of the people were coming in. And for the registration "line" consisting of hundreds of people? We were there on saturday mid morning and there was NOBODY in line for registration. Not one person. Place was disorganized. Period.

What time on Saturday? Because I was pre-reg on Friday and the line up was still amazingly long. For those who didn't pre-reg, the line wound around the entire wall going down the escalator until it was pretty much at the entrance to the registration doors again.  If you've ever tried to run a con, you know this stuff doesn't go as easy as it sounds, and if you do and still think they were disorganized, you must have had a pretty easy job.

Nope, dressing up is certainly not mandatory. A lot of people never cosplay, and just come for the gaming or various events.

I was excited about AE getting its first commercial but despite my low expectations, this was kinda.. ugh

There's too much unnecessary footage; most commercials are only 30s long. And what's sad is even tho this commercial's 3x longer than it should be, I could hardly understand what was going on. It'd be nice if we could hear what the ppl were saying on the phone. The typography at the end looks quite amateur as well, no offense to whoever that edited the video. Lastly, IT LACKS GIRUGAMESH! :D
