eh thats nothing my firefox is using 136MB of ram right now.. and its running smoothly im using firefox 2 though the very latest version of 2 [the last release of it]
although i edited my cache so now its only using -.- just chedk 130mb still lol see for my system uses mostly virtual ram cause i only have 448 "512"MB gonna get an upgrade to 2GB soon whohhoo then firefox can use some real ram :) ya i love firefox id so take on version 3 But....All the best plugins i have for ff2 Wont work for FF3...
@rainbowbowserpow9999 I still run 3.6 LOL I memory dump constantly. Before I go site to site and it dumps when it closes. Its a bit slower as to be expected but it's clean at all times and no ones going to my header for my social sites. Probably still running pretty high ram though with all my privacy add ons.
@whiskeydence02 I have a better machine then when I made my 3 years ago comment, if it means anything I am running Firefox 10.0.1 right now and with adblock+ and noscipt its running at about 160MB of ram usage out of my total 4GB. Yeah if I was a privacy freak I would probably do the same but being I live in an area where this isn't a concern and no one but me uses this computer all day no worries for me. Firefox 3.6 is and still is the best but I moved on.
@rainbowbowserpow9999 Well can't say I understand why you would move from a better product even in your opinion to whats clearly not the better just to call it moving on, but thats your choice, Personally I think the new ones are just over all an ugly set up as well. I've just had no issues with 3.6 and its way more customizable. I keep the installer on CD and on thumbdrive with links to add ons and even codes for styilsh. lol I just like it.
@whiskeydence02 Yeah for me it is well I don't over customize my Firefox I have secuirty measures noscript and adblock+ that update solo and along side Firefox. That I use and for me the issues I had with Firefox after 3.6 did make me stick with 3.6 back in 2010 then when lots of bugs were fixed I gave the newer versions a try and for me Firefox 10.0.1 is stable me I hardly ever have Firefox issues though. It comes down to preference for the most part.
@rainbowbowserpow9999 OH no lie LMAO FF is always buggy as hell when they first come out, thats why I always stayed one version behind. But now that Im still using it and save the installer for future DL on disk It's slick as snot. Maybe not quite as fast as the newer ones but Im in no real hurry to get there and with the fasterfox it is still quite fast. AStill takes about 5 seconds or more to boot at times but thats really nothing. just sucks when y nets junk cause
@whiskeydence02 I WHEN (cable1, so its junk anyway) thats the case it tends to take allot longer lmao but then so does everything else that has to hook up. LOL If you want I got all the links saved with my plug ins you can see all the shit I use.I can inbox it. I got quite allot. I like to play with stuff to much LOL
ahaha.... thats what we call firefox caching... every time you open an URL (example: MSN [which takes a hell of time to load it]) then after 2nd time you open MSN it will load it without taking much time....
other than that... firefox have a process that save your recently opened tabs... if you know the hotkey, you can open your last and before last and more before that of your closed tab... convenience isn't?
I know....But i don't use Mozilla and i'm using Opera-the best of worlds , but opera eats much rams, between 30 and 100 allways. Soryy if i didn't write corectlly, but i'm not romanian
mine sometimes swallows 399 mB, so even the cursor doesnt move.
