  • what is this technique used for?

  • @BAMFUproductions blocking and hand sweep

  • that looks like a good way to do morning stretches. ^_^

  • BUENA MAESTRA

  • Comment removed

  • @LakeofGlass Muay Thai, problem solved, handwork, strong kicks, perfect striking art.

  • @ninjakid6 If you're quite a well build guy yeah :)

  • @ninjakid6 Every Martial Art has it's strengths and weaknesses.

  • @LakeofGlass There's something you must know:

Kung Fu = something like "achievement/merit through great effort" = anything you do with refinement

Wushu = "military/martial art" = refers to ALL chinese(and non chinese) fighting system

  • @andymangaka I looked it up and I only see wushu defining Chinese-founded martial/military arts. But I get it now. Thing is, the only ones I've witnessed looked more like a creative dance. That confused me.

  • @LakeofGlass about dance, try capoeira from brazil.

where the slaves weren't allowed to learn self-defense, then they created a "dance" for that... (º-^)

  • Very beautiful and graceful

  • I see a contest of art of voice. You are *all* correct in *all* aspects. Its all chi, from this conversation to self defence, the art sings its distinct styles into harmony of the universe. Martial Arts is part of the natural order of things. To me, it would be un-natural if it didnt exist, and as in nature, and how we are different unto it- so is the various forms. Thank you for listning.

  • @ruseartifice Chi just means energy. Stop trying to sound mystical, it just looks dorky.

  • @LakeofGlass if I'm to look dorky, then I'm to look dorky. Thank you for your thoughts.

  • @LakeofGlass From what I know of Chi, The chinese believe it's not just the energy of you moving but that it's internal (inside your body) that when controlled, is capable of not just hitting things with power but to be able to take hits far exceeding a normal persons ability and also allows you to heal yourself amoung other things. good video on it- watch?v=tX8mGt0K_JI

  • @suckmeballsalot Hypothetically, of course.

  • @TheMartialartsJedi its not for sport.. combat is the sport.... it's for art... self expression thru martial arts, a gateway to enlightenment if u train wen ur as high as i get. I train lots of different kungfu systems as well as Brazilian jiujitsu, muai thai, and krav maga but i started off with wushu so trust me..... :p

  • @TheMartialartsJedi but pubu is still very important even in combat...

  • i nid to learn to defend myself from getting bullied at school

  • @okto1234 I imagine you have found help for that matter by now, being two months later, however I can only say look up martial arts centers in town and ask them. If they have belts that aren't traditionally in the system (like safari belt in Kikendo or something) then write them off as worthless. A place that is both true to the system and not super expensive is the best bet (not perfect, just best). Also, I would suggest stretching in the mornings, it helps with running away.

  • She so fly like a G6

  • What's the combat application? I'm guessing it's a leg stomp but I could be dead wrong.

  • @Rikk1825

as a wushu student: hit to throat/face, block, counter

  • @LightDragon74 anyone..that isn't full of disrespect, have an idea how long I should just stretch and practice the stances before I start practicing the wu long pan da or pu bu chuan zhang? I don't want to start doing stuff if I'm not "ready"..I know it's probably like 6 months or something..just want someone who knows what they're talking about to tell me :)

  • @thehgreezy

30 minutes to 45 minutes according to my gym teacher in high school, enough to get the blood flowing and not to injure yourself.

  • that is really fast!

  • @Alexander where would be the fun in that? seriously I can fight but her skill is amazing. my seven year old has memorised her name I watch her posts so often.

  • Wow that was amazing

  • When she demonstrated it step by step, I thought to myself "this should be easy enough to learn"...right until she performed it at lightning speed. lol

  • @kabloom321 Doing it slow would look awesome too. Kinda like Tai Chi :)

  • poo boo LOL

  • 2many negative comment dis is a peace making technique

  • nice, i like that move

  • show respect to my future wife !!!

  • I'd appreciate it if you could break down the movement step by step.. Gosh i feel like im too slow :S

  • @fareisya87 I have practiced that move for 10 years and am not as good as her yet. It took several years to really get that combo. I use it as my main simple combo to work my legs when I am not seriously practicing.

  • Its too fast!!!

  • cross over stance

  • SHE IS FAST!!!

  • i think pu bu chaung zang is kind off related to pi qua quan

  • wow... i thought it was going to end on 1:07 but dam that girl got some speed

  • Cut this Comerchals OOOOOOFF!!!

  • Just press the CC button to take the text away. and then enjoy.

  • I love it when she goes into LUDICROUS SPEED!

  • i did this already at my kung fu school it was fun and relaxing

  • So hard to view this with the block of text in the way ! It was not like that when i first viewed it, what the hell! Her English is fine this wall is not needed, we just want to see the technique!

  • AWESOMENESSSS

  • OMG, whts with the text wall? get rid of it dude..

  • Almost jumped off my chair when she clapped her hands together >.< !

  • I would DESTROY her

  • @MrKushez aww your dead funny cause you know she would kick you in the boy fanny and you would cry like a baby! LOL,..... I like your littleman symdrome attitude, love it love it!! xxxx seriously your dead fun xxx

  • Excellent !

  • She is SO ADORABLE,lol, and sooo very skilled in wushu.

  • My question is whether that was an offensive or defensive technique. I don't know kung fu, but to my eye that looked like a strictly defensive manuever as opposed to an offensive one. Interesting.

  • @matthias66

The thing is that, most techniques, if not all, can't be categorized as either just offensive or defensive. A full out punch can be considered a form of defense as much as a blocking a form of attack.

I see it as a matter of personal view, in the end, as every technique has infinite uses, it all depends on your sole creativity and capacity to innovate and apply it to your needs.

  • @matthias66

The first part looks like a slap block and a spear hand thrust. The second part looks like a dive under the opponent's center of gravity, then coming up in a lift and throw motion driven from the legs. It would make a very powerful attack.

  • @infedelKillerz hehe that would be cool

  • This lady here will turn quanarius' ass inside-out

  • i like her flexblity...she is a feather...lol..

  • There is a purpose to these apparently impractical movements which are called forms. The real fighting skill comes from it.

And yes, she IS fast ! ..and she will get faster , thanks to that 'ballet' as some people call it.

  • it's true the stuff demonstrated in wushu isn't really practical in a real fight.

but wushu is an art form that screams perfection. any person who excels in wushu is already pretty much capable of laying your ass into the ground gently, violently, or otherwise.

  • not 2 be arrogant

but wtf is the point of that?

  • its a sequence of attacks and defence? palm to the throat while blocking a punch to the body into pu bu and sweeping away a foot or hand into a ready stance?

  • Depends on the movement, some movements in some modern forms, have no application, it just grew that way because of the performance aspect of modern wushu, it's not the way it was supposed to be even in modern wushu.

However this movement is just blocking an incoming punch and immediately thrusting your palm in the opponents throat. Similar moves exist in wushu and other martial arts. I can't see how you can think that ALL wushu lack possible application.

  • the original purpose of wushu is to KILL enemies in battle. because of it, there're no restrictions when using wushu to attack opponents. teachers often tell you how to do wushu only but not how to use it. this fact makes some people consider wushu ballet. wushu is not like boxing or wrestling, which has some rules to protect contestants from serious injury. i've practiced "praying mantis" for a decade. the very first attack of the set pattern familiar to me is to dig out opponent's eyeballs.

  • @vgdoqd Yes, I've practiced the Praying Mantis style too, along with Judo and a bit of Capoeira, and I have to say I completely agree with you, what most people don't understand is that these martial arts weren't created to be a sport or competition, even brawling or fighting in the street, they were created to disable and/or kill as fast as possible, in any way, move to the next target, repeat. No restrictions.

  • @quanarius try to even touch a wushu fighter..

  • not a problem, buddy.

  • man dis all is aught in tao lu......very awsome to learn

  • im in love .... that is all

  • wow

    shez really fast! =D

  • i know there are many people that are way better at wushu them me, but these comments i post are just my opinion.

  • She breaks the plain of her stance.

  • you really need to be quick..

  • 0:36 ->Cameraguy XD
