I LOVE this girl. She has a fantastic voice, a great attitude, a sense of humor and a smile that makes me want to smile back. I hope a record company out there snaps her up ASAP if American Idol doesn't work out for her. Heck, I hope they do either way so she's not locked into the "Idol" box. Key example is how they have all the contestants do a bunch of B.S that they would nevvvvvvvvvvver have to do if they were ever REALLY a big time singer. Who ever makes Bono, Eddie Vedder, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, etc. learn a song in just a few days, all without any good advisement??? Does anyone think that Britney Spears ever has to sing a song that hasn't been given the thumbs up 4 her from several advisers B4hand, along with many people helping her pick out her outfits, the arrangements, etc?

All that said, I do understand why it would be so exciting to get the chance to go to Hollywood and experience the whole thing. It is certainly a very fun 'ride'. Unfortunately, that is pretty much all it is--just a very fun "RIDE", with a very rough 'landing'. If only everyone realized that, and fully understood it from the beginning. AI is really just a TV SHOW that makes A LOT of $ 4 the producers, and a few others (i.e. 'judges'). It isn't REALLY about finding a great recording artist.

That's 1 thing I really lament about AI: so many great singers & good people that I really want 2 win, but u always know that only ONE of them can, & even then mayB none of them truly "make it". They all just get so excited & get their hopes so high, only 2 have them crushed in the end. They get caught up in the excitement of the moment & think their lives have just made a MAJOR turnaround 4 the better, when in all likelihood they will pretty much b right back where they were a few weeks ago.

@3TNT3 I think Amy is very good, and I like her, but I can guarantee that she isn't going to 'win'. It's just not going to happen, even if I want it to. And there are SEVERAL people I have seen already that I wish they would win. But it's just that only ONE can. More than 1 can get a recording contract, but just look at the last ELEVEN YEARS--very very few ever REALLY "make it", including the 'winners'. But somehow most of these 'contestants' seem to forget this, or they don't even realize it.

Shes very positive! Most people who come from a place like that to going to Hollywood cry. She didn't. I didn't really like her singing but I'm happy she's getting a chance to get out of that lifestyle! I say good luck! (:
