Messed up zune pad... HELP!

i just trying to get tec suport on the phone now you cant get an operater just this recording that sends me to there site i payed last xmass 200 had to send it back 2 times and they gave me a new 1 but they loced me out of my sune sofware that sucks

HAVE YOU TRY TO DO A HARD RESET?, PRESS BACK BUTTON AND THEN UP, WHEN ZUNE IS LOADING, PRESS BACK BUTTON THEN THE MIDDLE BUTTON ON THE PAD, THEN THE PLAY BUTTON, ALL THREE AT THE SAME TIME, IT WILL SAY WAIT, THEN CLEARING CONTENTS.

AFTER THAT IS DONE, YOUR ZUNE WILL RESTART, AND CONNECT TO THE COMPUTER WOULD SHOW UP, ONCE YOU CONNECT IT, IT WILL SAY OPEN YOUR ZUNE SOFTWARE, THEN THE SOFTWARE IT SELF ONCE IS OPEN WILL TRY TO INSTALL THE FIRMWARE, DO THAT IN CASE YOU HAVE NOT DONE IT.

Do urself a favor and go buy an ipod, i hade all kinds of mp3 players, but the best one i foud so far is an iPod Classic 160gb, it holds EVERYTHING!

Yea mine does the same thing I think its a defect i think we all need to tell Microsoft how we really feel. I think Its BS that they think we should have to pay 69 dollars for a new Zune(which the same problem will probably happen again). We need to figure out how to hold Microsoft responsible this is ridiculous.

My zune also does the same, But my hold button is broken. i don't think the touch pad is like, bad or anything, i think it may have to do with the hold button. What do you think?

I found a fix for this problem. It happened to me yesterday. It's software, not hardware. Simply connect the Zune to your PC, open the Zune software (It usually automatically pops up), click Settings in the top right hand corner, then select Device. Erase all content on your Zune and it will reboot automatically. My pad started working as soon as I did this.

Remember, you can always copy everything from your Zune onto your PC library, so do that if you want to save anything.

its a touch pad, not a launch pad. so next time, don't slam your thumbs down on the buttons. treat your zune good, like i do. because its not indestructible. buuuuut it IS better than the ipod. :D

haha trust me, i treat it reaal good, i never take it out of its case, i just did it for the video...and as you can tell on my video the room was completely silent so thats why it sound as if i was "slamming" my thumb... but yeah the zunes are waaay better :)

and the zune hd is just a blast! :D

I have the original 30g zune and my middle/enter button on my zune is unresponsive. you can click it and click it but no response from zune. If you I just keep clicking the backlight will go out which lets me know the zune doesn't know I'm pressing anything. Any suggestion or help, hopefully a video response.

yo bro my back button works fine but it seems to want to ignore what i want it to do. the rest of my buttons quit working. ima take the bitch apart and take the battery out and then reset it that way and see what happens.

Well... i kinda just left it alone.

I let the battery drain completely, then eventually it worked fine.

Sometimes it would go crazy again, i thought if i turned off the touch setting, it wouldnt happen, it happened anyways. So i dont really know why it happens.

What ive noticed is that when i leave it in the car or any hot place, thats when it goes wrong again. If not, nothing happens.

Right now its sitting next to me completely fine :)

i dont know what happen i was skating and i think my leg pressed it soo hard that it pressed the pad soo much that it messed up i dont think so because i have skated with my zune lots of times and nothing liek this has happened ?

at least ur's moves my zune touch pad wont even respond nor will the play button or back button...nothing works, resetting,re-formatting, nothing works. at least i have a ipod touch for now but i will wait to get the Zune HD

Its so frustrating...Mine does responds to my commands.. but they all lead to "left".

Up=left, down =left, right = left...
