@ndawg227 The ION drums were for the xbox. No I am not using rockband. I use a alesis DM5 that is triggered by the ion pads. It is what makes or plays the drum sounds. I have used them for rock band on the xbox. In this case tho I mix the drum sounds with an mp3 audio /
@Fr0styB3v3r4g3 Thanks?? Lol... I am not sure you have yet seen a older "good" drummer. I dont pretend to be a good drummer. I do enjoy it. Practice makes (in my case) better. I had a swimming coach years ago that said "Perfect practice makes perfect" meaning that technique is everything... I suck, but I try. Thanks for commenting.
@Shanerzzz8 Sorry it took so long to see this. The left pedal is for the high hat. Since the bass pedal is a actual bass pedal and not a electronic switch like the high hat pedal, it would be possible to purchase a double bass pedal...and I wish I had one...
hey, your a great drummer!. i have some Q's for you. See im going to start recording on my pc in afew months. I have guitar rig for my guitar and bass, a yamaha syntheniser with usb midi. i need to record drums, but dont want to spend a ton of cash. Now this kit, even tho made for gaming, looks terrific, but will i b able to record on my pc with it?
Hi, sure, but understand that the ION drumset is made for rockband and doesnt "make" the drum sounds. I have an Alesis DM5 that actually makes the sounds that are triggered by the ION pads... they make a DM6 now. There are several drum brains out there. Its would be up to you to choose one that does what you desire.
My DM5 output is fed to a mixer where it is mixed with the other audio then it is recorded on my pc using audacity.
Hey, Sounds Awesome, I'm picking up the Ion soon, what brand is the Hi Hat? Also where do you purchase your add-on's? I was thinking of the Roadie insted of the DM5 but i doubt it sounds as good..
Hi Chris, Well the roadi mk502 I think..probably does sound as good, I havent heard it except on the demo vids I saw. The Hi-Hat is used off ebay it is from an alesis dm5 pro kit or something..the kick and pad are roadie I think...got it from Sigler Music off their ebay store. I want the alesis surge cymbals ...that would be kewl. Thanks for posting.
Well actually its the DM5 that makes the sounds, but I have a dual zone snare which has 2 triggers, one for the snare and the rim for well, rim shot sounds. Thanks so much for viewing.
Good taste in music. I think it was a great cover. In reality that is what a good drummer would do at a gig playing that style of music. Great job!
