haha! this is cool! I never thought this technique would find use here! When I was a beginner and couldn't use my fingers to tap properly, I used to do this as a way of doing the tapping. I was amazed (at that time) how fast I could play by using the pick instead of the finger. Then I saw people like Rex Carroll (Check out Nagasaki) use it. However, I've also seen one of the DragonForce guitarist use it and its been derided very much in the guitarist circles! Make of that what you will. ;-)
