  • awsome

  • What is the point to have a parrot if they cannot enjoy flying. it is very selfish to own a bird like that.

  • That is really sweet.

  • That's so... Cute...

  • Birdy: Mine..

    Dogy: No, mine.

Birdy: IF I CAN'T HAVE IT, NOBODY CAN! -Brakes the stick with the beak.-

    Dogy: But....

    Birdy: SHUT, YOUR MOUTH!

Dogy: But, shut can't go up...... D:

Birdy: Listen to me, I WILL bite your tail off while your sleeping...

Dogy: I want the stick.... D'''':

Birdy: You can't have it! >:C

    Dogy: -Cries-

  • He's trying to regurgitate food for the dog isnt he. LOL He loves his puppy. :P

  • Beautiful!

  • The dog is so gentle

  • lol, its crazy.

  • Priceless

  • It's amazing how gentle they are with each other. The dog seems to know exactly how fragile the bird is

  • I like them smart german sheperd

  • mrmag1231 so am I lol so cute!

  • Looks like a wonderful puppy...he was very deliberate and careful with his mouth. (You know what I mean if you have a large dog and a smaller dog or other small animal.) Nice to see that the owners monitoring their play stopped the vid and stepped (I assume) in before the dog's playstyle became too rough.

  • they love each other

  • they gonna fight at the end

  • that is so cute lol :D

  • Adorable!!

  • Make a carefull consideration, they can get 80 years old, make a hell of a noise and need a lot of care, attention, space and a special diet. They can be as intelligent as a 4 year old child, and untill puberty (+/- 7 years old) they can be a handfull. Many parrots end up badly being discarded by there owners becase they don't live up to expectations. If you can handle all of this they can be a lot of fun and a welcome part of the family.

  • @hajoveen Absolutely agree. Although I do take issue with the "4 year old child" part. My Amazon is in her 40's now and is like a teenager. Thinks she knows everything. Acts like she runs the house. Still won't let her have the car, though.

  • My money's on the parrot, I'm thinking of getting a b&g myself

  • Bird: I need this twig for my bedroom it will complete the scenery of it! Dog: well I need it for my stick collection it will go perfectly into the fifty five others i've taken from you

  • wow im suprised the dog didnt bite its head off

  • seria perfeito se as asas da pobre arara não estivessem CORTADAS para nao voar... :( ...

  • Bella Notte gone wrong. :'D

  • that's so cute! they look like the best of buddies ;o)

  • remember guys....

dogs' saliva are toxic to birds....

  • @niyazmather Isn't that only if it enters the bloodstream?

  • @ZeeJeff its obvious dude....

  • CUTE!!!

  • One of the cutest things i've ever seen!

  • I wonder how much longer the poor bird lived. The dog snapped at the parrot towards the end....One good swat of the paw or snap and the B&G is dead!

  • @FWCASParrotRescue a dog (sheperd) like that woud have attacked it at the beggining

  • @FWCASParrotRescue There was nothing aggressive about the dog's behavior... Dogs know not to mess with parrots. And if they do, a bite will remind them who has the switchblade beak in the relationship.

  • I put ten dollars on the parrot :-) ....but seriously very cute video. I love the part around 3:34 the best! They are both beautiful animals. Is the parrot's wings clipped or he's just trained not to fly away?

  • Parrot: OK! SINCE YOU ATE THE STICK I GUESS WELL PLAY TUG OF WAR WITH YOUR LEG!

  • ow no at the end they are fighting abit, i felt like the dog was going to eat him :(

  • @Hiiiphop That's how animals play...

  • @Manny1222 They do however, you can tell from the end the parrot was tryna bite the dog abit and the dog got abit nervous and tried to move the parrot away ;p

  • @Hiiiphop Wasn't gonna take any shit. He was like, "BRING IT ON MOTHERFUCKER!"

  • Leuk nederlanders.

  • I love how the 1yo Shepherd is the one being mature hehe.

This is too cute, its just amazing how two completely different species can just get along like this.

    <3

  • @Spannerphonics 1 year dog is mature dog, but the parrot is still something like teenager

  • ahhh so peaceful

  • sticking my tounge out at the" know it all haters" on here. shut up. It's a cute video and people like "you" spoil all the fun.

  • OMG this is too cute! It starts off both of them being polite about it, then in the end they both get a little testy with each other.A pair of really beautiful animals. Love that german sheperd!

  • Nice..! :)

  • For the most part, this vid is cute. It was pushed too far and a GSD puppy should never be bitten. Very cute vid, very bad owners.

    Source: Vet Nurse

  • that dog looks like my King shepherd, Elvis <3

  • That is sooooooo sweet!

  • THAT SO CUTE AND THE DOG IS SO GENTLE WITH THE BIRD

  • after viedeo: DOG GOES ON RAMPAGE AND KILLS THE BIRD >:D

  • This is cute.

Aside from that, having a bird out in the kind of wind, without a harness is very dangerous. It does not matter if the bird is clipped or not with such a wind, they can get very far. On top of that, the saliva from dogs and cats is a kind of poison for birds. Allowing them to mouth the same stick like this is not healthy for your macaw.

I'm glad they do so well together, but aggression is not the only reason that birds and cats/dogs should not be playing together.

  • oo very nice =)

  • I love macaws and dogs

  • Thats awesome! Its so sweet how gently and nicely they play together. The german shepherd could have easily just bit the parrot and took off with the stick, and the parrot could have bit the dog and gone off, but instead they played sweetly together which was rly cute :) great vid! Its insanely adorable how they get along!

  • thats is the most adorable thing

    <3333

and the seven people who disliked this are the pieces if the stick

  • Amazing!!!

  • nederlanders?

  • how did you get them to be able to play together? I just got my dogs to be able to be in the same room with my bird without wanting to eat him. they are slowly coming around but nothing like this. wow!

  • LOL amazing! Tough bird too hihi ^-^

  • How does this dog not want to eat this bird? Maybe I'm way off but this isn't really normal behavior is it?? lol

  • @Alarm021

Yep, I think perhaps you are.

  • What idiot would 'dislike' this???!!!

  • @TheOninnino me

  • @Jack1fernando1cindy well my comment speaks for itself then...

  • Lol the bird doesn't even want the stick, it just doesn't want the dog to have it :P

  • @HeatherKS123 Exactly ... just like Humans

  • God damn... that dog is so... so... well, i think is one of the most beatiful dogs i've ever seen...

  • the dog is so gentle with the bird!

  • thats super cute

  • im glad they share XD breaks stick in half

  • lmao at 2:29 birdie tries to chew on his leg. He don't like it from what I can tell.

  • i WONT my wooden stick,But I found it.. MEEE TOOO...

  • They are just insanely playing an almost make up game. So cute.

  • Such beautiful animals :)<3

  • Lol at the macaws expression when the dog breaks the stick.

  • is the parrot clipped? I have a young green wing which I refuse to clip, but worried it might fly away if given the chance

  • @MercFriendlyChat Yeah go to exactly 0:30 and see the wings open up. The feathers are trimmed. I used to trim my birds but I refuse to now. It's just unnatural.

  • the bird loves that dog.

  • Hoe duur zijn die?

  • That german shephard is GORGEOUS! and so is your bird! You are very lucky people!

  • What a sweet relationship :)

  • @Martins2012 I agree

  • This is the power of domestication. If that was a wolf, chances are that bird would be gone, or the dog's eyes would be pecked out.

    So cool to see this.

  • HEY! *sqwack* that bugger broke my stick

  • Comment removed

  • I like to see inter-species interaction. It's such a high contrast on the branch of evolution on these 2 in this case. For these animals to meet and interact in a harmonic way means everything is possible.

  • parrot:its mine!!!!!!!

    dog:no its mine!!!!!

    owner:shut up its mine!!!

    dog and parrot:noooooooo

    owner:yesssss

  • I'm so relieved both dog and macaw found a place where they can roam around freely and interact with each other in a non violent basis. Good for you and excellent video.

  • @hajoveen this is so amazing! I hope when I get a macaw it gets on this well with my german shepherd!

  • oh my goodness they are both so precious!!!! how sweet is this?! they both have bites that could kill but they are so gentle with each other. the wonders of nature never cease to amaze me.

  • all animals love to play with sticks,,lol

  • xDD the bird also wanna eat the stick

    #

  • nederlandersss!!

  • Q coisa mais lindaaa!!

  • haha...Elvis wants to regurgitate. I wish my macaw was that cool, instead, he thinks he's the dominant one. check out my vid, my cat put him in his place. ll

  • oh, be careful, Elvis! Dogs got big teeeeeth :D - cute how they play

  • @myplace9 shut up and get outta here troll

  • @nigapride321 dude altho he may seem to be trolling , my little puppy plays with a tug-o-war toy and his saliva has got on just a few little nicks on my skin, and i immediatly got sepsis the next day because his saliva is so full of bacteria, this is very common and is very bad for birds, so the guy has a point, he never said the people were idiots or anything, he was just informing them of the dangers incase they were not aware, fuck ur a loser, just look at ur name, nigapride? fucn loser

  • That is so cute

  • lol

  • cute, but parrot should not be sharing saliva from the dog on the stick. any avian vet will tell you the bacteria is foreign to the bird's body and totally unhealthy (as well as human saliva). also bird can easily hook the dog's nose with its beak unintentionally and the dog's knee-jerk response is going to a who-knows-what retaliation. like the "Flying Wallendas" of tight-rope fame, teasing death just ONCE too often is all it takes.

  • How cool is it that - the dog 'knows' how much power is appropriate for its playmate. If it was another dog, it would understandably play a little more 'rough' - but with the bird its nothing more than light nudges and playful pulls of the stick.

Or maybe the Macaw is the one taking it easy on the dog ;D

  • omg they are really playing i love it!!

I have a baby ring neck, and a 7 years schnauzer hehe hope some day they play like that!

  • Fascinating - thanks for sharing!

  • it wont be cute when the german shepard eats ur bird

  • @d1ks4u If the macaw, or the German Shepard wanted to hurt each other, then it would have happened. Man do I hate Trolls, but boy do I love telling them 'Off. :) I hope your bitterness soon goes away, I don't know a husband or a wife that really wants to put up with that, Hope you don't end up Alone. :)

  • @d1ks4u lol ur such a dumbass

  • Two beautiful animals turning that tiny stick into wood chips! =D

  • i do not like the dog becuse he can hunt you and he is big i like the little dogs

  • @best121696 no one cares for your opinion...

  • @best121696 wow ur such a dickless little faggot

  • I wish my yorkies could be this friendly with my bird.

  • . this is truly amazing and a wonderful testament to how kind you are . for your pets to be so sweet . . love this :))

  • Looks like they're have a good time playing with each other.

  • My German Shepherd chased a squirrel once and once he "caught" it he licked it and it was like "WTF?!?!?!" I called my dog away and after a couple of moments the squirrel carried on his way :) He also used to play with my cat and rat all the time :) The key is socialising them well while young :)

  • I own a Shepherd. How do I Parrot-train him? :)

  • I'm a Newfoundlander too!

  • Really cute both of them.

  • sweet <333

  • i would love for my african grey and other pets to play together, how do you go about introducing them to one another?

  • <3 this kind of thing makes me happy

  • 0:56 sneak attack

  • Una segunda parte por favor!!!! La pelea que se hacían estaba muy buena el guacamayo le ganaba!

  • Adorable video...The dog makes me a little melancholy for my late dog Lady who had to be put down after a stroke. Anyway, delightful video! If only human beings could be trained to co-exist so well together:)

  • very nice thank you!

  • Lovely video, i could never let my parrot play with a dog because she'd bite it... she's a jelous birdy.

  • wow for your dog being so young he is sooo gentle

  • Looks like you have some wonderful family members there. Summer is amazingly gentle for a young dog.

  • Great video! Very happy and balanced animals here!

  • Aww, they are both adorable♥ Very cute video :)

  • :)

  • What a beautiful dog and bird! My shepherd would eat my birds in a second I have to keep them apart.

  • What a beautiful Alsatian. You just gotta love dogs!

  • This is such an awesome video! I could have watched them together for hours! You are obviously wonderful people to have such wonderful animals. Best, Curt

  • Gorgeous dog and gorgeous bird.

  • the top comments: if the dog wanted it could kill the macaw!

no, if the macaw wanted it could kill the dog!

quite the lols (: but yeh its amazing to see pets getting along this well. I wish my cockatiels played this nicely with my dog :P

  • it was funny when the parrot bit the dog in the face & the dog was like- nu-uh you did not ust do that xD

  • when the parrot touches the dog's pag, the dog is like wtf my bubble.

  • @jonesjamie LOL Agressive bird...You have never been around a aggressive macaw have you.It puffin it's wings out for balance when it's trying to get the stick off the dog..If it wanted to that bird could send that dog running. that beak can remove a good portion of that snout in one quick snap.

  • ur dog has such a lovely fuzzy face

  • Awwww too sweet! :)

  • A parrot of this colouring is a dream pet of mine, and a gs dog a dream pet of my other half's, to know they can get along is fab :)

  • so beautiful to see how well they get along

  • Oh please, if the Macaw was agressive, the dog would have been hurt ,,, bad, they have the power in that beak to take a human finger off.. I really dislike trolls on youtube can't we just enjoy what people share!

  • @queendiva73 Yes, the dog would've been seriously torn up.

  • @queendiva73 True that. Macaw can easily do some damaged by biting a dogs nose which can kill. But you can tell in the video they have the bond.

  • So sweet! What a beautiful dog and bird you have!

  • Really people, German Shepherds are one of the BEST dogs you can have...if this dog wanted the bird harmed or dead...would have done it instantly...no playing around about it...yay for the people who engage their animals instead of locking them in a cage or house all day!!

  • the bird is 42 years old? wow how long have you had him?

  • Thanks for all you positve and sometimes mixed reactions. I will try to answer a few questions. All our animals, a 42 year old Cockatoo, a Newfoundlander, our 5 cats, Elvis and Summer get on well. There is a ranking amongst them and when and if they are playing all have mutual respect for oneanother. At no time there as ever been a precarious situation amongst them. We take the parrots and the dogs for a walk through the woods twice every day.

  • Aggressive bird.

It thought the dog had the stick and was hidding it. Pecked the dogs face and the shep flinched to defend itself. bird found another stck and walked off dog got up and followed cause it wanted the new stick. Bird got defensive and poked out its wings.

  • It really is amazing to see how close these two are and how gentle they are with each other. Even taking into consideration their little spat at the end. I'm assuming that your Shepard has known it since it was a puppy.

  • Oh, it was dangerous at the end... close enough...

  • Do you have his wings clipped?

  • I am amazed at how gentle your Shepherd is. So nice to see those two playing together. Thanks for posting!

  • amazing its great how animal's can really get on together

  • cute :3 i wish my bird n the dog that b that close

  • How much was the macaw for

  • Dog's saliva can kill the parrot in time. Be aware please.

  • hoi , ik hoorde van jo dat dit het zusje van onze spike is. lief hoor om te zien..ze is al net zo mooi als spike.

  • what a beautiful german shepherd looks like you really took care of her

  • Beautiful!

  • I love it! So sweet.

@ickybird -- I don't think that's the correct interpretation of the dog's body language, personally. If he grew up with the bird, he's likely to respect the bird, regardless of size. Also, he just wants to play. I've seen those mannerisms in my larger dog--he's concentrating on having fun while not hurting the smaller animal.

  • Comment removed

  • That dog is still a pup. He has given the bird a couple of looks like he is sizing him up. If they keep this up as the dog gets older, he will attack the bird.

  • @ickybird ur such a dumbass, ur probably basing it on ur own experience with dogs? hey guess what... just because someones brother murdered a family does not mean all brothers are murderers, u dickless faggot. god theres some stupid fucks i have to put up with on this forsaken rock.

  • gorgeous german shepherd!

  • Fantastic!
