After you've been to Asia in general and especially culinary delights like Vietnam, Hong Kong and southern China, Thailand you start to wonder how people in the US eat ( other than in places like NYC )
There's a vietnamese guy at work. every day at lunch, he sits in his cubicle and makes disgusting sucking slurping smacking kissing sounds. i think his teeth are falling out. he's such a gross disgusting person.
I have nothing against his race. however the sucking slurping smacking sounds he makes are revolting. also, every single day at lunch, he microwaves a dead shrimp and stinks up the entire office building. he never misses a day. he NEVER eats ANYTHING except vietnamese food
@robocong7420 I know what you mean, the foods he ate are dry fish, and never in my life I see someone using microwaves to heat up these kind of foods, maybe a little exaggerated here. Does anyone in your office have same react like you? If so you can talk to him instead make him as a candidate represent for Vietnamese and make fun of it.
P.S Vietnamese food is not only that kind of food and I don't believe anyone can eat dry fish everyday. It is just impossible.

alot of people realize how good certain vietnamese food is..and i think the secret is simply the abundance of herbs and vegetables in south vietnam. Vietnamese believe in the balance of everything..or the Yin-Yang philosophy. If you eat meat you have to have alot of veggies and herbs to achieve a harmony ...So the roasted pork belly probably is better in some places but if you eat with vietnamese herbs and veggies..you get that balance and..ofcourse you love it.
I just came back from 7 days in Dong Ha and Hue with a quick stop in Saigon. The food is good as ever, the people smiling as always and my belly full...again.

Please do let me know where, I have eaten amazing pork belly in each of these places but this Vietnamese version was so unique with all of the accompaniments - crisp cukes, herbs, fresh green peppercorns and ooh that chili salt.
