@GuitarHeroRulez321 Currently the all out damage coming from Empyrean weapon WS is greater than that of the Relic WS. However there's a rumor of an update that increased the fTP for Relic WS so they can compete. I haven't come across specific testing, but there are some hints at it.
Personally I've yet to see an Amano holder produce Kaitens that can keep up with my Fudos, or Metatron Torment keep up with Ukko's Fury. Relic WS are still better/easier to Skillchain with though.
@tdh004 I more/less meant that as personal preference. It feels like the Relic weapons were forgotten with the release of these new WS weapons, which I think shouldn't be so. People used to work really hard on getting relics and they were the things to have, and it should stay that way (especially when you consider relatively no-one has them to begin with).
@GuitarHeroRulez321 I agree. There's too large a gap between Empy weapons and Relic weapons currently. And because of the work/gil to benefit ratio is so heavily favoring Empy weapons right now, most people aren't shooting for relics. For me I gave up on an Amano (Was half way to Stage 4.), and got my Masamune in about 3 months. At Lv.90 Empy weapons are super easy to get because of high level characters and 10-15 min respawns on NMs. I'm actually working on 1 - possibly 2 - more.
@tdh004 Actually, that statement about easier skillchaining is false. Both WS from each weapon type possess level 3 skillchain properties and therefore skillchain in exactly the same fashion, albeit, slightly differently due to secondary properties.
@SirVyre Both WS have the option to link to Lv.3, but the Relic WS has additional options. Any Light aligned Relic WS can link Fusion or Fragmentation to Light. A Light aligned Empyrean WS can only link one of them to Light. (Fudo can link Frag to Light, but not Fusion to Light.) So that's why I find Relic WS easier to skillchain with as their main alignment covers both sides.
@tdh004 Empyrean WS also have secondary properties, which are also level two. I think you're confused about how skillchain properties work. For instance, Tachi: Fudo can link to Gravitation based WSes and make Darkness. Tachi: Kaiten cannot.
Lvl 99 cap you say huh.. Well looks like I got alot of catching up to do from lvl 75. Haven't been on for 3 years!
