Anybody who thinks Irish Dancing is easy think again. My nephew is dancing since he was 9, He's 18 now and hes still learning. Competitions are all day events and can go on for days. Also competitions can be extremely competitive. Parents escorting their children to competitions can be hanging around for hours waiting for their children to be called up to perform. Its very hard work for parents who sacrifice a lot of their free time for their little darlings.
I just found this video - BRILLIANT! I am a former Irish dancer in UK and take my teachers exam next wk! Incredibly stressed and this has made me feel so positive about why I am doing my teachers! I want to teach at camps like this!! Loved the song as well. Thank you to whoever posted it!
i want to go this year seeing as ill be 17 and will be too old next year. is it fun? I love irish dance and though ive only been dancing for a year, im in prizewinner and was told i can go. im also from california though and want ot go to NY...is it worth it?
Man....I wish I was young enough to go to this camp! And I wish I lived close enough to be a counsellor! At least I can get a sneak peek with vids like this!
