  • Oh man, I have a story about that place. Do a google search on "french fries in the American Southwest" and you'll find a copy of my write-up on the Los Angeles Indymedia web site. }:-}

    The place has changed a whole lot since I was a kid running around the desert, crawling from muddy seep to muddy seep.

  • @NotSoOldHippy I read your story on your Crystal Lake website. I liked it, I could visualize a kid walking through the Desert a night with the fox tunnels underneath....Hehe

  • I was just at Tecopa and I couldn't find this place. All I found were privately owned commercial pools. Can you tell me how to find the natural springs shown here?

  • Did you soak for a while....so in this one there are parts that are cooler? 110 is a bit hot for me! I prefer 104- 101...

  • yeah I was there probably 4 hours out of the the two days I was in the area. The cool part of this place is you can move around and find your own perfect spot. When I took the temp. I was right above one of the sources.The hottest source there is supposed to be 116 F.

  • Wow 110.. Pretty warm. I love hotspringing in storms. Try hotspringing in the snow sometime. Neat stuff.

  • @mobiltec

    The cool part about that Hot Spring is that if you want to cool off all you have to do is paddle through the water to a cooler spot.

    I want to go to the Hot Springs in the Long Valley when it snows....that would be Cool!

  • I've been to Keough when it was snowing a few times. It really is neat.
