I must be a bit biased, but I will be living back in Telluride, and I would like to see Phish. Glad to hear they're coming. It will be more work for me too.

There are a group of people known as Phish fans. They're not very good spellers, probably because they didn't phinish High School. They believe that they're entitled to incite a riot because the band, the venue, and the Town of Telluride is theirs. Smart.

The barricade is to keep cars out of town. Telluride sets up a barricade at the entrance to town for festivals where parking and traffic will be a problem. The barricades aren't meant to keep people away. It's not like there's a mass of armed soldiers holding people out. The barricades are run by volunteers for the festival and they will make you turn around if you aren't a resident of San Miguel County or a ticket holder for the Festival. There's only one road into town.

There are plenty of Phish fans in Telluride and everyone needs to remember that Telluride is a very small town. If Phish wants to come and play our town park... One of the greatest venues in the country then you better believe our town council will fight for the locals to have access. We are a community of music lovers and we should have access to any shows that happen in our town park. Keep in mind that the Telluride town park is owned and paid for by the citizens of Telluride.
